I got chills with Michael Ball's voice. It hadn't change a bit.
i say it's gotten stronger sense les miz
Yup it's still mediocre.
he does a radio show on radio 2 bbc website every Sunday 11am to 1pm 😂
@@amyclarke41 He's delightful on that show. Lovely guy.
@@amyclarke41 Well, really, it's just BBC Radio 2...and I have listened to it a fair few times when travelling with my parents as my Mum loves Radio 2! He always comes across so genuine!
32 years later and Mr Ball has still got it
better go and see his doctor then,
Yes! I saw him in the original cast.....wonderful :)
He never withers
@@manueldelgado5336 he is a arrogant prick.
@@andyroughyed3642 Troll!
Every time Michael Ball performs "Empty Chairs," I'm just speechless.
Me too 😭😭
Alfie Boe has an amazing voice and together with Michael Ball, make a brilliant team! 🥰🥰🥰🥰
I really enjoyed seeing Les Miserables The Staged Concert at the Gielgud Theatre in London on Saturday 5th October 2019 in the matinee afternoon performance and it was brilliant and I saw it with Alfie Boe, Michael Ball and Matt Lucas and they were amazing
Allfie is just impeccable for me, he creates so much emotion and depth.
Alfie Boe's version is the best ever version of bring him home , every time i hear him sing it just brings me to tears, and Michael Ball is the best Marius his version of empty chairs and empty tables is breathtaking. These two have the best theatre voices and stage presence i have ever seen, they sing wonderfully together. xxxx
i love alfie, but to me Colm Wilkinson is still the best. The song is meant to be a prayer sung by an old man. No question that Alfie has a volcanic voice, but to me the song require's colms delicacy, frailty even (oh and the INSANE lung capacity on the last note)
@@decadencewhimsyandsarcasm i agree, nobody can beat Colm Wilkinson. he's the best Jean Valjean.... like how nobody can replace Michael Ball as Marius
Alfie is brilliant but nobody does it better than Colm Wilkinson. He has the age, experience and passion. He is the gold standard.
The part was written specifically for Colm Wilkinson, the original can NEVER be improved on but others interpretations are valid and Alfie Bo is exceptional but Michael Ball is very ordinary, average even, nothing special I've heard better in the pub on a Friday night.
@@liamconnolly9233 Michael Ball is far from ordinary his voice and range is extraordinary , Hense why he is a huge superstar.
The depth of Allie Boe’s voice gave me chills
Yes, depth is the word I was looking for to describe his voice. Almost other wordly
Wow... Two different singers who gel so well. Alfie is the conditional top tenor. All voice and vibrato. Michael is the top notch musical theatre performer. He tells a story but Alfie just sings, albeit very well. BUT... What a great couple. Luvvem.
Barry Gazey Ball is one of the best singers, hands down
Fantastic performance from 2 masterclass performers from musical theatre x
Linda Wellingtons7 has
So wonderful to hear this 😊😊
Sitting here in Sweden listening and don't know what to say - amazing!!!
Thank you for share all those marvelous videos 😊😊

Les miserable is the best musical that was ever written!!
And that is on period
I love every musical there all unique in there own way!! ❤️
You mean there are others????
Second best. Phantom is the best.
Alfie Boe is so amazing no matter what he sings I get chills and the tears flow but amazing duet by both
I saw Michael sing the role of Marius in London I suppose it’s nearly 30 years ago. I was reduced to tears it was so amazing. 💜
Me too , with Colm Wilkinson , it was breathtaking
The 10 anniversary concert with Colm Wilkerson and Micheal Ball.
No matter how many times I watch this I have cried every time, that key change near the end by Michael Ball after 5/6 minutes powerful singing is done to perfection, and the tone and sustained resonance of Alfie Boe is beyond belief and truly demonstrates the class of both singers!!!!!! WOW WOW WOW and WOWWWWWWWWWWWW !
3:59 Jesus Christ, a Tenor shouldn't be able to go that low, but somehow Alfie does. What an incredibly massive range.
That's what I thought too!!!
Alfie has a 2.5 octave range. In other words, he can go from countertenor to baritone.
Alfie Boe singing "Bring Him Home" gives me goosebumps every time! As much as I love the film version with Hugh Jackman ... Alfie Boe will always be the best Jean Valjean =D
Emma Seymour Besides the orginal Colm Wilkinson.
Colm was the priest in the film version.
I too love Alfie, but John Robyn live equals him at the very least - sublime
I listen with tears, as I think of my husband now in hospital for a surgery. He is alone and I can’t even see him. So i shout out loud the same words: bring him home safe and healed from his pain. ❤️ #Stay safe everyone!
God bless you.
I hope you can bring him home soon!
I hope he has healed amen 🙏
Love these two beautiful men, for their talent, their wit and their stage presence. (from Australia)
2 of the most incredible voices on one stage. What a treat.
Alfie was my first Jean Valjean, consider it's very fortunate or unfortunate, because I have hard time to feel the same goosebumps when sit on the theatre chair and listen to any other Jean Valjean
Ellen Fang try Colm Wilkinson :)
I feel the same, I was very lucky that my first encounter with the miserables was the 25th anniversary
I feel its the same with anybody who sees this fantastic show, for me, Colm Wilkinson will always be Valjean, for a friend of mine, its Hugh Jackman. You just cant beat your first time
Ellen Fang ...Collum Wilkinson was mine....never forget that night!
Colm Wilkerson the original Velijean always followed by Alfie Boe,and R Karimloo.
Saw Les Mis on the big stage for the first time yesterday and I was blown away. Emotionally drained today but can't stop listening!
You and Alfie in the staged concert of les mis as Valjean and ball as javert thumbs up.
Just cannot mention enough how Les Miz is getting me through this 2020 pandemic and unrest. Thank you Mr. Alfie Bow and every cast member imagineable. Bless you all. A gift from heaven Mr. Bow. Thank your lovely wife for sharing Alfie with us. Peace and Blessings
Micheal you are wonderful to listen to as well with a great personality. How often does two men sing well together and have great singing chemistry. I pray many years together and have fun. This is a one way ticket. Live until all wheels fall off. I am beyond addicted and love this natural high. My bucket list is to see Mr. Alfie in person no matter how much the cost and at 63, I don't care. All the way from New Jersey. Kudos
I delayed buying Michael & Alfie's album "Together" until last Sunday & was knocked out by the opening Les Miserables Medley. This live performance demonstrates the power of their voices & this video was very well produced. Thank you BBC.
This is true camp. I haven't seen anything so wildly overproduced in years. The climax is unforgettable. I enjoyed it immensely.
OMG Alfie Boe YOU CAN SING! Absolutely BEAUTIFUL! I HOPE to see you perform LIVE 1 day in the near future! *APPLAUSE*
I've seen Alfie Boe perform twice. Mesmerising, brilliant, wonderful talent.
I wouldn't say Michael Ball gets better with age.
He was ALWAYS a magnificent singer, and he has lost none of his talent or voice.
He was great at the start and he is still great.
He peaked over 30 years ago.
the 47 person who disliked all thought this was too short
Wow. May they sing forever together. Like 2 heavens in a basket. Perfect pair.
"Like 2 heavens in a basket". Perfect description!
watching this just made my day . for a while ive been a fan of Michael Ball and his performance as Marius in my opinion is the best one ive ever heard, other singers just dont have the amount of power and energy to sing this part im so happy he sang this song again he literally owns this song after singing it so many times
Toti Andruchow you do know that Michael Ball was the original Marius?
"Bring him home" is so beautiful.
Absolutely loved this performance of a medley from Les Miserables sung by Michael Ball and Alfie Boe. Superb vocals.
Michael Ball, you are better than you have ever been........CONGRATULATIONS xxxxxx
It doesn't get better than this! 2 of my favorite male singers sharing their talents! Simply brilliant. I only hope you guys choose to do it again and again!
the sheer amount of talent in that room is just overwhelming
Oh, that was absolutely perfect!! Just wow!!
That was outstanding!
Gotta love Alfie Boe's beautiful powerful voice...Always love Michael Ball
What marvelous singers. “Bring him Home” is my favorite song from Les Miserables. I fill up when I hear it!
wow it's absolutely breathtaking
This is Alfie and Michael at their absolute best...these two were born to sing together
Breathtakingly beautiful. The power of music revealed.
Spine shivering perfect performers. I can wait to listen to the new album.
Hi pretty I know this is like a dream to you thanks🥰. I appreciate you guys for your love toward my music 🎵. I'm glad you never stop supporting me.. feel free to contact me through email address on the description of the channel.
you can see the difference in singing and they're both gold
I am so in love with Michael Ball...LOL.
At 5:12, the goosebumps were nearly unbearable! Two of the best male singers of our time, in my opinion. Thanks for posting this!
They’re just wonderful together or alone ❤️❤️❤️. Thank you for all the beautiful music 🇬🇧
The way Alfie Boe goes from chest voice to head voice so effortlessly is something I haven't seen many other Valjean's do. Most of them have to mix at some point but he just goes straight there.
Graham please get Alfie and Michael on your show plz plz plz
Staggeringly wonderful, touches the depth of your soul. Thank You
Oh, be still my heart. This was more than superb.
😍😍😍😍absolutely in awww. incredible arrangement
Alfie Boe’s voice is glorious, I get chills when he sings. Just beautiful. Bring him home suits his voice so well.
Went to the O2 concert. Most amazing experience.
Seeing the original cast from the Barbican. I was there.
Seen Les Mis probably 15 times.
Most incredible musical I have ever seen on the London Stage.
The emotion of these two gentlemen in this song is palpable---they both sing with such feeling--best medleyduet EVER by Michael and Alfie!
Beautiful music by two beautiful voices. Fantastic.
Every time Alfie sings the note G4 :one day more....the beauty of it. Goosebumps!!!!
Plus he sings with all of his being!!!!!
This arrangement should have been on the album!
Soooo amazing !!!! Gives me the chills. Wish I could like this 1,000 times over!!!!!
wow - 2 great voices together! amazing
I just Alfie Boe fan girled so hard. My favorite Valjean by far.
but colm...
Alfie is good but Colm is the best
I completely agree
Colm is the Goat, but as far as range and voice, Alfie is just in another stratosphere
Jaron Torbeck bring him home wasn't meant to be sung that high. Colm wilkinson was the one who decided to sing it that high.
Goosebumps! Stupendous performances from both of them.
Every time I hear 'Bring him home' I want to cry - Alfie sings it beautifully. Michael singing 'Empty chairs at empty tables' gets me every time. Singing my faves from 'Les mis' brilliant !! Love both of them and I would love to meet them both -one day maybe I will.
First time I saw Les Miserables in London it was starring Colum and Michael. How lucky was I. Saw it in London 2 other times, both wonderful, but just not the same. How I wish I could have seen Alfie that would have been wonderful too. Such a great performance, loved hearing these gentlemen as solos but as a duet - mind blowing. Made an old lady very happy!
I love Les Miserables it’s my favourite musical I’ve watched it loads of times and it even makes me cry 😢
beautiful - no other words and Les Miserables is one of the greatest musicals ever written
Two of the greatest talents together in the fabulous Les Miz!!!
Yes.
That gave me a 5-minute chill. Amazing.
How is it possible that one person wrote all of these songs, each incredible in their own right? Pure genius, enabling talents like these to express themselves.
That One Day More rendition just gave me an idea on how to sing the overlapping voices. Btw, it almost sent me to the ER.
THE PERFECT DUO BRAVO TO THE BOTH OF YOU.LOOKING FORWARD TO THE NEW
CD/DVD
Amazing performance ❤❤❤
Perfect .. love Les Mis ..
alfie has a once in a decade voice
No words just total admiration
Alfie kills it! Amazing voice!
Brilliant by both Alfie and Michael. Thanks for uploading x
Wow, truly amazing.........................
Michael Balls voice is amazing
Wow 😮... no words just WoW!
When we arrived on our OE in 1989 we got the first cheap seats we could - It was Aspects of Love - with Michael Ball.
My cassette got stretched from playing it so much. I do miss the theatre.
Loves Changes Everything sung by Michael.
Alfie goes HAM in this performance. Loved it.
Alfie Bow and Michael Ball - these two gentlemen are exceptional.
Holy cow. I would so love to have seen Alfie play Jean Valjean. Amazing. Michael, great as always as well. I never got to see this show on Broadway. Did see an amazing cast do the show in Los Angeles though. William Solo as Jean Valjean, Karen Fineman as Cosette, Reece Holland as Marius and Michelle Nicastro as Eponine. I don't remember who played Fantine. That show completely rocked my world back in high school. A M A Z I N G!! = )
Darcy Doll you might be able to see Alfie. He was Valjean for the 25th anniversary show. It’s probably up on UA-cam somewhere
I just love the DVD of this concert, I cried every time Alfie Boe sings "Bring him home." It just touches me so emotionally.

One word. Fantastic.
Pure magic indeed !!!
Absolutely Amazing!! You make music that goes straight to the heart! I could listen to you for 24hrs and never get tired of hearing your voices. Bless you and thank you!
Still gives me goosebumps when I hear Les Miserables. Superb
