    Obviously when I can, I try to imprison a vassal and revoke him the titles than actually having a civil war.

    Civil wars always screw me over in this game. Whenever I look away every single vassal is trying to kill me

    Thanks for this video! I just got the game and vassal management has been the hardest part. I don't like to "cheese" the system, but these tips make sense from both a strategic and a roleplaying aspect!

    Great video! I'm very new to CK3 and can't seem to keep people happy! I think my distribution is all messed up. My last Emperor (Of everything west of Constantinople) was fine... new guy comes along.... and there's about 10 rebellions! And now I'm stuck!

      I tried playing as Byzantium a few times and to me (because I'm a noob 😅) it seems that surrendering to the Seljuks in the first war is the best solution (you could fight till you reach a white peace but that would bleed your country dry) and after that make it your main priority to accumulate money until you have 500 ducats. With those 500 ducats, you're gonna form a kingdom somewhere in your realm so you can give the title to some vassal that likes you (don't forget to hand him over vassals too). YOu do this until there is direct vassal with a count or a duke title beneath you. Keep very good relationships with those 5 to 6 vassals that you will now have and you should be more than save! Also as a little tip on how to get 500 ducats: Apply the trick that I mentioned in my money video, where you would click through your vassal's baronies to see if they are building something in them and when they are, you will cancel that construction project because that money will be redeemed to your account and not your vassal's!

    And this goes on onzil your kings become to strong to handle alone anymore.
    While kingdoms can actually increase your income (removing the "-50% nor rightful liege penalty) I prefer to let them split if they ruler dies.
    This way I get prestige, a thankful vassel and they can never grow to strong.

      So this video was designed as a follow up video to the vassal management one, so make sure to check that one out aswell, but in a nutshell, since I don't know you position detailedly, let me tell you what I would do: 1.Give everyone of them a position in the council, regardless of whether or not there is a more suitable character, because the biggest problem is oftentimes the -40 opinion malus from not being in the council 2.Get the diplomatic lifestyle and get the first perk, that gives you the +100% opinion modifier from gifts and with all of that start getting deeply into opinion building with gifts and swaying, as the tactic of reducing direct vassals is only of real use when you keep a constant eye on your vassal's opinion of you, so you can help out there if the situation should ever get them into a negative. Thank you for the comment Bor!

      @@ShadyEst hi,thanks for the reply. I think its because of my level 4 crown authority. But i realy need the absolute crown authority so i can have a single heir, maybe next in the video you can make the succesion guide. I realy like your video, a straight forward explanation and easy to understand, you deserve more subsciber for sure!!

      You should try not to create too many vassals or let one of your vassals get too strong you want less vassals and you want your vassals to have more basically if you're an emperor you only want king vassals if you're a king you only want duke vassals and etc I'm playing as the habsburgs formed archduchy of austria we've held the crown of the empire for three generations now and I've added kingdom's to the east as far as ruthenia to the empire the only problem is I kinda messed up not managing vassals myself and now I've got too many vassals not enough titles created to give and get rid of them and as a young boy king it will be a while before I have enough gold to do so and I keep getting uprisings every year to remove me from power 😂😂

      Hey man a question do you have any idea how in hell do you ally your sons when they are your vassals ? it says they are claimants so they won’t ally with me it’s stupid that I can’t there’s not reason why they shouldn’t ally me they are my family n my vassals it so frustrating idk if it’s a bug cuz after I have my heir a county I got an automatic notification to ally him so ido if it’s a bug but no one it’s having to issue apparently I’m the only one

    • @ShadyEst
      @ShadyEst  4 роки тому +1

      If he‘s a claimant he whon join into an alliance with you because he looses his ability to press his claim against you since he cannot get into a war over that time. Sadly there aint a lot / no things you can do against that😂 Children do be bitches my friend! 😂

    • @ShadyEst
      @ShadyEst  4 роки тому

      I‘ve been thinking about your epoblem ans let me tell you putting your sons in as direct vassals can be quite dangerous once it comes to succession! Because there is a certain threat every time you have multiple children that oce their father dies one of them will inherit the main title but the other ones would start forming a faction against him to install themselves as a ruler and by giving your sons land you enable them to, additionally to the things from above, have large influence and a propper army to fight your successors!

    • @MARIAREY5

    How many vassals should you ideally have?

    • @ShadyEst
      @ShadyEst  3 роки тому +1

      You're welcome! So I when I still played CK3 I used to go for 5 vassals since you have 6 seats in your council with one of them being your spouse. I did that so there was no possibility of the council becoming rogue or something as you'll most likely have good relations with at least 50% of them at a time!
