My latest character had several people including a baby burned to a stake after I saw a bunch of factions coming against me. That definitely sent a message
So far these are the best CK3 tutorials available. Short and concise... so many others with 20min+ videos that drone and meander on forever, to the point that you forget what was said every 5min ago.
Thanks, very helpful. I've been playing HRE for a few weeks now, I get most of my dread by executing certain prisoners - usually someone captured in sieges or battle that is lowborn or of a small house, or of a different religion, or was a mercenary. As HRE you can be in near-continual wars if you want, and chopping off a few heads now and again lets everyone know who's boss. I wasn't sure exactly how the intimidation/terrified mechanic works, thanks. I was just role playing and assuming if I had dread around 50 to 80 I would have good things happen from time to time.
If there is a specific mechanic or game concept you'd like me to explore, let me know and I will continue to put these together. I expect either an Intrigue or Matial Focus in hopefully a few days. Cyas!
I start my game with 30+ Natural Dread but it still says I have 0 Dread. I gain dread when I torture people etc. Right now I have 65 Natural Dread, but my Dread is only at 30. Am I missing something/misunderstanding something? I'm not running any mods. Sorry if I'm sounding dumb.
Hmm mouse over to see if it's accumulating monthly since think it has to build up to your natural base level. Though, you may have a trait or something that is either causing less natural dread or something like that. Things like being wounded too can affect but would have to poke around.
@@SmonteGaming Thanks for the reply! I'll check it out when I get on tomorrow. Just for reference, I am seeing exactly what this reddit user saw back in September. "There's no indicator that someone fears you." There's... literally a big black circle on the character telling you that they're afraid.
You're right I missed that when I made this video. Thanks!

Awesome that was my goal, I wanted to present as much of the info in the most succinct way without getting too complicated. Glad you liked it.

That's funny since it was sort of how I was treating it before I looked into it played around with different things. Glad this helped!
Thanks viewing all your ck3 guides.

Being Wrathful also gives natural dread, and so does Sadistic, have both, and you get a total of 55 natural dread, just for being you.
Wrathful is a *SIN* in Christian religions though, so be cautious about that
Good stuff... Thanks!
Glad it helped!
I mass executed 52 prisoners whom i captured after supressing a rebellion against my tyranny. No one ever thought of joining factions afterwards
Amazing, my last ruler died way too early due to a peasant revolt so I may have to follow in your footsteps to get these dudes in line.
So, where do I find out how much "Dread" I have? Is there a tab of a different option to see how close I am to 100?
