Yes, we’ve been doing that for a while now! Maybe a year? Who knows, because I’m so bad with timeframes. The exception is the recent Coral review because that wasn’t a typical review for us since we only stayed 3 nights. I think it works better, glad you think so too! 😊
Love y’all’s review. I def like this resort. In regards to the upsales… I know y’all tend to do a lot of higher end resorts. When you do mid tier or budget friendly properties there tend to be more upsells bc it’s a way to get more cash cash money money out of the guest bc they are trapped. I do a lot of these mid tier and budget resorts for my channel so I witness this a lot more than y’all do.
I hear you on the towels. That is my biggest pet peeve. Also when you get questioned about needing more towels?! Like, why do you even care. lol

Great review! Really appreciate you guys making these vlogs...know it's a LOT of hard work. Upcharging - totally agree with you. It's ALL INCLUSIVE! Either include it in the price or don't offer it! I mean, I get upgraded liquor I guess, but coconut water and then get all excited with treats by the pool to find out you have to pay for them? Nah. Kevin: 24hr bar/11hr lounge LOL!
He couldn’t get past that. You have no idea how many clips I cut out of him saying it wasn’t a 24 hour bar 😂

I enjoyed your review. I stayed here for my honeymoon in 2010 when it was The Royal. It was nice but we haven’t returned.

Just to share since Atelier is also now a website vs. their app, so you'll need it there - at least on iPhone, you can save any website to your home screen as an "app" icon - from the website, choose the middle share button and scroll down and you'll see - "Add to Home Screen" and that's it! I can't remember if you are an iPhone or Android user, but I would assume Android offers the same!
Great Review- I felt like I agreed with much of what you said just from watching the series when it came to pros/cons. The constant nickel diming upcharge stuff would frustrate me greatly.

Every meal was excellent. Even the thick fried chips and salsa. Way better than Dominican resorts

Wouldn’t recommend this resort really. There was a cockroach in our room and it was very very musky like a swamp. Then they moved us to a room that was so noisy. Lots of moving chairs above us and a very strong chemical smell. They food at times was not good…
Like your videos in general! The comment about “locals” enjoying the beach in their own country was…..interesting.
Sorry you found it interesting. It’s a fact, and many people wouldn’t expect to have people set up shop for the day directly in front of their beach chair. Some beaches that never happens on, and some it happens without fail. You can take it as an insult to the locals if you’d like but that is not the case.
@@MemoriesandMojitosTravel is this the type of nonsense you deal with on a daily basis? Unbelievable! I had no idea that when I went to Secrets Akumal I'd have a family open an umbrella in front of my cabana which blocked my view. I had never experienced that at Secrets Maroma or Secrets Playa Mujeres. I FULLY understood what you were saying about location matters..
Imagine going to Mexico and having Mexicans exist in a capacity other than of one that is in service to you! The gall of them to enjoy themselves at the expense of your view! I’m sure it really threw you for a loop, Kassie!
@@kassieklein5348 That's odd, and that didn't happen for us at Akumal last year, though there we did have a few non-hotel guests walk by, but that was infrequent. We were at Maroma a few weeks ago, I feel like there was a few people from Catalonia next door who might (again, infrequent) stroll by to the abandoned resort on the other side and back, but we did not have anyone set up anywhere near the beach chairs/palapas at either of those Secrets.
