- this is me talking about the short-lived hanna-barbera series, laff-a-lympics. it came out many years before my birth, so i am probably the last person who should be commentating on it, but you might like it!

This is their 2nd TV Crossover Series
The Scooby-Doobies team was always my favorite team.
Fun Fact: The line-up for the team was completely different compared to its original line-up during the early productions of the show.
It was going to have Jeannie (from the show with the same name), Alexander, Alexandra, Melody and Sebastian the Cat from Josie and The Pussycats to be members of the Scooby-Doobies team (which would've been interesting to see how that would've worked out).
But due to Archie Comics and Columbia owning both shows (so that Hanna-Barbera won't get sued by Columbia & Archie Comics and that Jeannie was technically based off I Dream of Jeannie), the idea of Alexandra, Melody, Sebastian the Cat & Alexander (from Josie and The Pussycats) and Jeannie was scrapped and replaced them with Hong Kong Phooey & Captain Caveman and the Teen Angels as the main Line-Up for the Scooby-Doobies team.
Babu (from Jeannie) was an original character that Hanna-Barbera created and he stayed on the Scooby-Doobies Team.

Laff A lympics used to come on channelFOX 5 in NYC back in 1985 in reruns. what was kooler was Yogi's treasure hunt it would come on Sundays on NBC channel 4 like 1986

I have thought this should come back but change the team names to the Hannah Barbera's, the Warner's & the Really Rotten's. This would update the show & could really incorporate both franchises plus you could get some newer characters like Dexter, Johnny Bravo & Power Puff Girls in the Hanna Barbera's, Animaniacs, Tiny Toons & Freakazoid in the Warner's & Have characters like Dick Dastardly & Muttley work alongside Wile E Coyote. I do think Tom & Jerry needs to be on the Hanna Barbera's, also Porky Pig & Huckleberry Hound would be great as the announcers for the games.

I used to love this series when it wss on here in the UK, but it has not been seen much at all since its original run. Having mnaged to spy the odd video on You Tube it hasn't aged well and whilat it is nice to see all thr old characters together in one format, the animation and loose framework don't look so good or work so well. Certainly one for the memories - very fun video 😁👍🐻

Laff-a-lympics returning in some sort of fashion this year is not too far out of the realm of possibility actually. The hbomax original Jellystone!(made by ch greenblatt) is basically going to be a hanna barbera crossover show and there will definitely be a Laff-a-lympics themed episode considering how its the mother of animated tv crossovers in general.
