The og characters were one of the main things that were talked about for the first five minutes of descendants 4: the rise of red. Cinderella and King Charming have two children who happen to need a parent with them at the same time so there’s no reason why they would both be with one of their children while they have two children who need a parent with them at the same time and there’s no reason to believe that there is not enough money for the actor of King Charming to be in any scene. Also, the story would not work if King Charming went to be with Chloe and Cinderella in Auradon. 15. The fact that Chad is adopted by Cinderella and King charming is obvious, does not need to be mentioned and is not a problem with the film. 16. The song love ain’t it is not a problem with the film because the descendants films are musicals and the song love ain’t it has a clear meaning about one of the main things in the film namely the queen of hearts distrust of love. 17. Not liking the title of a song doesn’t make the title of the song a problem with the film. 18. Something like security guards singing is the same as anyone else singing and the descendants films are musicals and what the security guards are communicating while singing is clear. 19. There’s nothing problematic about doing a dancing and singing routine to introduce onself and others and the song can have either a villainous context or a headmistress context so the song is not a problem with the film. 25. The reason why Red is the only student at Auradon who was introduced by Uma at Auradon is because Wonderland was cut off from the rest of the world and Uma is welcoming Wonderland back. 26. Victoria M admitted that this is not a problem. 27. Getting slayed means getting killed in this context so there is no problem. 28. If the lyrics of the song and how the song sounds are bad then that is an opinion and not a problem. 29. There doesn’t need to be a castlecoming scene in the film because the evidence that it worked is shown in how the queen of hearts changed. 67. The Auradon welcoming ceremony is still happening because the Auradon welcoming ceremony happens at the start of each school year every year. 70. The songs and dialogue was so cringe 😭

The ending was rushed and it lacked a story to me. The only thing I liked was some of the songs.

one thing that really got on my nerves is the fact that hades and maleficent went to school together 😭 if we are talking about the same guy from percy jackson and hercules then there is actually no way that he went to school with them, he didn’t even go to school in the first place so I don’t even understand where that idea came from, hades is supposed to be god of the underworld, so like how tf is he going to highschool with maleficent?? he’s like thousands of years old while high schoolers are like 16 like how did they expect that to work out 💀 this movie literally feels like it was written by a group of five year olds istg who ever came up with this movie needs to be fired asap 🫢

I know exactly how you feel and i want you to know your not alone in any way. When i was 12 i really wanted to be in the the descendants 4 as the son of the big bad wolf , but eventually it hit me that there woud never be a descendants 4 an to be honest i didn't want there to be because cameron boyce was one of my fav actors abd when he died it was depressing. So the fact that they not only tarnished the name of cameron, kenny ortega and the original cast , the even went out of there way to let us kniw that carlos is dead for promotion

one of the things no one has said or thought is that Chloe's "goody two shoes" suggestion made sense. If they told Merlin about the prank (not the time travel and all the stuff) just that they accidentally overhead the vks talking about how they're going to break in to Merlin's office to find something to humiliate Bridget, Merlin would've sent them straight to detention, not allowing them to go to castle coming, no prank, PROBLEM SOLVED. also if the villains couldn't open the book bc they'd get frozen if they were evil, how did they do it the first time? the worst part about this movie is that its not actually set in wonderland. We spent 70% on the movie on the stupid school courtyard. super boring. My mom fell asleep watching this.

Morgana is Ursula’s sister in the Disney universe. She is the villain of the Little Mermaid 2 the direct to DVD sequel. That’s why Morgie (or whatever his name is) has scales. Although it literally makes no sense how Morgana (who would be Ursula and Uliana’s sister) has a son that is the same age as Uliana… like what is the age gap between these siblings. They talk about Ursula as if she just graduated and that’s why Uliana is trying so hard to be like Ursula, but like then how would Morgana (who I believe is younger) have a son who’s 16????? They literally should’ve just put Ursula and Morgana in because they had all the other original villains. Uliana is just stupid 😭😭

this movie itself was so- like girly- like idk if u get it but D1-D3 were more dark and like had a more villainous feel to it. this movie felt like ur ordinary fairytale movie if u get what i mean? its kind of hard to explain i guess but i just generally didnt like the vibe. it was like WAY too happy. like the first movies have the constant reminders "oh we're not good enough" or "our parents dont care about us" yknow? and like the constant reminder to be perfect while this one couldnt portray a good meaning like the others.

I wanted Castlecoming to be like the Cotillion thing in D2 where they have the party on the boat/yacht whatever. it would've been a really good callback to the first trilogy and would've made the movie so much better in my opinion. and if they wanted to have a main group of Vks from the past why didn't they do Jafar, Maleficent, Evil Queen, and Cruella, heck even Hades and Ursula to make things feel more familiar. I did not know who Morgana was when Morgie was first introduced. the only Morgana I knew was Ursula's sister from The Little Mermaid 2 and why didn't they use her instead of Uliana and Gaston instead of Morgie? it doesn't make sense. and why didn't they add Dizzy, Celia, and the Smee twins to the welcoming ceremony? they were the first Vks after the Main 4 to be welcomed to Auradon Prep during the third movie so where are they now? did they already have a welcoming ceremony? how many years have passed since D3 and the rise of red? where are they now?

OMG I literally agree with every point!!! But on another note you should definitely try to pursue acting because it’s never too late to follow your dreams and your just as pretty as everyone in rise of red! Hopefully you take this advice and I can see you on the big screen because it seems like you still have the same passion as you did as a child

I think there's also one huge problem most people don't seem see and that is the backstories/fairytales. It's like they decided to change or even throw away their fairytales. As I remember in the first movies they said that the auradon prep became a real school only with the beast being king, in the new movie it is already a real school without the beast being king. Also the best example for a Descendants 4 movie thrown away fairytale is Maleficent. In the first movie she was actually based on her backstory/fairytale but now in the past we see her as a student while in the first movie she mentioned that she already took over several kingdoms in that age. The new maleficent is like:"I'm evil because I'm supposed to". It's also kinda like they copied ever after high, because ever after high is a school where students follow their fairytale destiny, in the old Merlin school there are also fairytale characters going to school to as I understood follow their destiny. (I hope I explained it well)

I feel like the plot, music, and dancing (except for the jaldin part) could’ve been a good movie on its own but it just sits wrong with me because of how much weight it has to live up to and without the og cast it isn’t the same

I think an easy fix with Morgie being Morgana’s son and the whole mix up having to do with her sharing a name with Ursula’s sister in the second Little Mermaid movie would be to have Morgie being Madam Mim’s grandson I know that he’s Morgana La Fey’s son because it connects to Merlin but these are supposed to be references to the movies not the stories that they are based off of And in that case Morgana La Fey was not part of the Disney movie which is another reason why this change makes sense

Another person probably comments on this but Morgie isn’t from a Disney movie he is an OC son of Morgan le Fay/Morgana. Personally I feel if they were going to lean in Arthurian folklore they could have at least made named him Mordred instead who is also in Arthurian lore.

I feel like the reason why Maleficent was in that mini villain group was because she likes to be a part of stuff, This is the same lady who cursed baby Aurora all because she didn't get invited to the baby shower, Hades was just in the group because he likes Maleficent

i liked the movie although out but one thing i will say is even though this is a film with a new franchise at the beginning the og characters are still so it takes place in the same timeline no hate to any of the cast they we're pretty good but if it takes place then why isn't maleficent the leader of the gang she says in the first film to EQ (evil queen) that by the time she was her age she was cursing entire kingdoms i understand that is a different version but if you going to have these characters be in the film please at least make have some form of connection to the og films. (sorry if it seems like I'm ranting here but this is one thing that bothers me about this film) overall i think as it's own film i liked it but this is one point of the film that makes me question what they we're thinking while making this film
