      @@sertank735Its not really to much of a difference from the 29. But overall i do agree the glock 20 is just better to have. Its more of a gun to tame some of that recoil. The barrel size isn't significant enough from the 29. Your losing maybe 100 fps to 150 fps max. But that isnt significant enough when its 10mm anyways. Yeah man id still go with the glock 20. i have both but the glock 20 overall is better.

      @@sertank735 it’s not earth shattering over the 20, but it does help it you have to poke out a little further, and they didn’t have a g20MOS when I bought mine. Stepdad picked up a 20 and now I’m looking to do the same. You can always buy a longer barrel for your 20 and have the best of both

    Have a Glock 20. 10mm is honestly my favorite handgun cartridge of all time! Easily the most versatile handgun cartridge!
    You want something for self-defense against criminals? Civil Defense 60 grain hollow-points. 2,400 FPS out of my G20!
    You want something for Bears and other big animals? 200 grain hardcast round going 1,200 FPS!
    Having the power of a 357 Magnum Revolver but with 2.5x the capacity! That is simply hard to beat!

      @Bangers4Fun I guess that would intend on it's purpose. I guess if I could inly pick one of the 3, I would go straight down the middle and go with the Vlock 20. That being said, if you are going to EDC, the 29 certainly would fill that bill better. What I can day though is that you can't go wrong with any one of them!

  • @j.anders6895

    Buy the extended mag spacers. Use the g20 mags, changes the whole experience. Also keep the pinky extensions, thats how to cc this gun. But if you are conceal carrying, Glock 29 is the way to go if you want a 10 mm. The mag extension is the x-grip, not the pierce extension you see in his video here. The xgrip slides over the g20 mag and makes the 20mags part of the 29 grip so you get a full purchase which you will need for 10mm. The base plate pinky extensions I use for cc. They dont add rounds, but just add enough space for your pinky and doesn't and any length to the grip really. So I have 29 and 20 mags.

    Personally I'm going to go with the xdm 3.8 10mm. I was going to wait for a 10mm echelon but let's be honest we'll probably be waiting another 3 years for a compact 10mm echelon to hit the market. So far only the xdm and glock have been reliable polymer 10mm pistols so go knows if the echelon will even be reliable with the 10mm. I don't live around bears but I've always dreamed of traveling out west to see the wilderness so I'm going to need one 😃.

    The only thing I worry about when it comes to carrying 10mm is the legal implications. In other states, you're probably fine but, here in California I could totally see caliber-choice being used against you along with everything else. I can already see the prosecutor's argument: "THIS GUY USED A CALIBER COMMON FOR BEAR DEFENSE AND HUNTING HOGS! MURDERER! HE DOESN'T EVEN LIVE IN NEAR BEARS... etc."

      Any caliber can make them go after you. I myself have a Glock 29sf, looking to get my CCW this year when I get the chance to start the process. I worry in the back of my mind that if I ever had to use it in self defense where my life was in danger, they'd throw me in prison for just that. California cares more about throwing the victim behind bars than taking care of these criminals

    • @Jesse-sz6fp
      @Jesse-sz6fp 4 місяці тому

      @@thewanderingpnut1685 I'm just saying man, just because we live in CA doesn't mean we should completely resign ourselves to prison if we ever have to actually use our firearms in self defense. There are some choices we can make to help our case if it ever happens. Is it bullshit we even have to think about it? Yeah. But, think about it. I would rather be on trial for self defense with a small gun in stock configuration. Remember whos judging you: 12 randoms from your county that likely don't know jack-shit about guns. Anything that seems military/hunting/competition/overkill IS going to negatively effect your case. I wouldn't even rock night-sights unless they came STOCK on the gun. I've heard cases have been made where night sights are viewed as an OFFENSIVE accessory. Lunacy but, that's California right now.

    • @Jesse-sz6fp
      @Jesse-sz6fp 3 місяці тому

      @@handlehandleton People worry about what the prosecutor will say because it will be said to a Jury. In all likelihood, your jury will be biased against guns, and the people who own/use them (YOU) because you live in CALIFORNIA. California and most of its residents are anti-gun. You are likely walking into court at a disadvantage for this reason alone. You don't want MORE factors working against you when prison time is on the line.

    .40 s&w does everything the 10mm can do. Police don’t carry the 10mm. They will use that in court against you.

      No , The Glock 29 SF is a Gen 3. Both of the Gen 3s & Gen 4s have finger groves and rails.

    I've been carrying a G30SF (basically same pistol as the 29SF) for about 50% of the year for 7-8 years. Never one issue of any kind.
    I can cloverleaf a ten-round group on a good day. Smooth recoil. Stock everything. This is an EDC concealed carry handgun by which all others can be measured. The only thing I don't like is the stupid lack of any external safety on Glocks except the trigger.
    Is it the absolute best? Maybe not, but it's the 95% mark.
    My Glock 33 is a tad under it, just because of the small size giving less grip. Maybe it's the 94% gun.
    And a SIG P229 in 357 SIG is maybe the 97% level.
    To get better, you pretty much have to start looking at customized pistols around the $2k and up price range. That's a lot of money for one pistol, especially if it goes in an evidence locker and never comes back.
