- In this video, I get you the 2021 Nissan X-Terra review. This latest generation looks identical to the Patrol but can it be off-road like a Nissan Patrol?
The Nissan X-Terra 2021 is currently offered exclusively in the Middle East. This Nissan SUV been completely redesigned and takes a curvy design instead of the boxy version which was last updated in 2015.
The new Nissan X-Terra is powered by a 2.5-Litre, 4-cylinder, DOHC engine that produces 165HP and 241Nm of torque. It is mated to a 7-speed automatic gearbox and has a four wheel drive (4WD) system. It has a rigid rear wheel axle and has a reinforced ladder on frame chassis design giving greater rigidity. The 2021 X-Terra has an approach angle of 32.2 degrees and a departure angle of 26.6 degrees.
The interior of the new X-terra 2021 has also been completely redesigned and the X-Terra 2021 now comes with a 9-inch Nissan infotainment system and 8-speaker Bose music system. For the rear passengers, there is an 11-inch rear display mounted on the roof.
The Nissan X-Terra is offered in three variants: X-Terra SE, X-Terra Titanium and the X-Terra Platinum. While the SE and Titanium are offered in two drive options: 2WD and 4WD.

The new Xterra has 'Body on Frame' same as the Patrol and Land cruisers. That is all the difference you need for an off road car. Sure the numbers of power and torque are less but definitely beats the pajeros, fortuners, etc in its class.
Not the v6 fortuner tho...
Definitely doesnt beat a pajero. Torque is very important for cars and x-terra has none.

Congrats, I'm planning to buy it too as my family is growing. Do u mind me asking do u feel it's really underpowered engine wise as a lot of people seem to complain abt that. I know it's a family vehicle and is not supposed to be very powerful or fast but are u facing any issues overtaking on highways or for long trips etc. Because if the underpowered engine. Would really appreciate ur feedback on this. Thanks...

Amazing reviews. I just like the in depth description you carry out. I have shortlisted one of these cars to buy. pls let me know if Xterra is better or Hyundai SantaFe 2022(7 seater). Safety is my priority and better value for money.
Thank you for watching! I would suggest a SantaFe over the X-Terra. The X terra feels super cheaped out when it comes to the quality of plastic and the fit & finish. Even SantaFe does have lots of plastic but it's still nicer comparatively.
The safety on the SantaFe is better compared to X-Terra. Hope you this helps you with your decision.

"ONly the four wheel system"??? What more do you want, an eight wheel system? Sixteen wheel version?
If Nissan puts in their 3.8L V6 from the Frontier, this will be the sales leader of it's segment.
Yeah but it's not happening anymore. With this engine option, the future models are sure to have this only.

Xterra titanium or mondera sport mid option which is good option
Normal ride no off road requirements
Imagine they put the real Xterra engine. The 4.0 tank motor, Would’ve taken the market with a blink of an eye.
Hi I saw you mentioning that fortuner is a still better option. However, fortuner doesn’t come with any of the safety features nissan is offering such as adaptive cruise, emergency braking, blind spot, etc.
Considering features and off road capability which will be a better option?.
Yes, it doesn't, but the build quality and the material quality of the Fortuner is far better than the X-Terra. Even the engine is far superior.
Hence, the Fortuner is a much better off roader than the X-Terra.
I wish there was a sun roof…

Hi hope you are doing good. Quick question do you recommend MG cars here in UAE and also how abt the resale value.
If you ask me personally, I wouldn't recommend the MGs since their engines feel very underpowered and a good resale value is still a big question.

You need to connect something through hdmi via the port near the last third row seats. Something like an amazon firestick would do. Hope this helps

Hi Any idea about fuel economy and how is the car for daily use?
Where do you rate this compared with Fortuner or 2.7 V4 prado?
Fuel economy is somewhere around 8 to 9kmpl. The problem being Nissan has put quite frankly a pretty tiny engine on a car this big.
Toyota's inline 4-cylinders are better. Plus, the interior quality is pretty average on the X-Terra. Though the Fortuner and Prado both have plastic interior, but their quality and fit & finish is much better compared to X-Terra.
X-Terra's 3rd row of seats are pretty pointless and the floor is quite raised up. It's better to fold them up and utilise the space for luggage. The X-Terra on a day to day use is gonna feel quite under powered.

Mazda CX-5 is a comfortable choice but it lacks the better infotainment system which you get in the CR-V. RAV4 offers you the strong looks but it still feels pretty average compared to the other two. Plus the interior on it feels pretty dated.
If you are not concerned too much about the infotainment system then the Mazda CX5 is an overall pick since it aces the dynamic part with brilliant ride handling and comfort. Second choice will be the CR-V.

There are better options available. Should consider them first and then if you still want a Nissan then you can go for this one.

Kindky guide how is the vehicle as its completely new with new engine. Compared to fortuner..which is the best choice
I would suggest the Fortuner over the X Terra. The 4 cylinder engine on the X Terra feels really underpowered while the Fortuner still manages to offer a decent V6.
In terms of the quality, again the Fortuner has an upper hand compared to the X Terra. The plastics on the X Terra just aren't upto the standards and fit & finish is slightly dodgy in certain places.

The Fortuner is a better bet for sure though the interiors on it is also plastic but it's more rugged.
I will try to get the Changan too.
