I'm searching a lot about how to transfer files and games to the RG350 so I can do it easily when I buy it myself next month, I'm glad to see such an easy to understand and fast video to help me! Great work man, keep it up!
I had a 353 which is different in a lot of ways but this was good enough to figure it out. Ended up not working this way but ftp with an ftp program works
Hi guys u're awesome. Your things works! but I got tips for everybody who was unsuccessful on doing this : go to device manager, choose network adapters, choose USB Ethernet/RNDIS Gadget, right click on it, choose update driver, choose browse my computer for driver software, choose let me pick from a list..bla..bla..bla... choose USB Ethernet/RNDIS Gadget, click next and wait until the driver (reinstall) successfully. I tried the same ways on win 7 and win 10, those works perfectly. Happy to us all!!
Excellent information Agung, thank you for the tip! I'll add this to the troubleshooting section on the tips page. Happy you enjoy the channel and again, thank you for this.
Awesome! thank you for this! I love how over time your rg350 info list has progressively grown with tutorials for emulators and such. =D I have NO idea why I haven't subscribed... until now. ;)
Thank you for watching and subscribing! The page is growing, I have more to be added soon that I just figured out last night that I really think people are going to enjoy.
@@WagnersTechTalk NIIIICE! you gonna add the sega CD to the page? dump all bios files into .pico....something-or-other? JUST got that working last night =D Turbo Grafx CD would be nice to, haven't found out how to get that working yet ;) Keep your page goin', it's fantastic!! I'm hoping the rg350 will be a device that gets a lot of love over the next couple of years.
Glad it is helpful for you and thank you for subscribing! More RG350 coverage coming. Do check out the tips page here (lots more info): wagnerstechtalk.com/rg350tips
Thank you so much for your support! My RG350M arrived earlier this week, I'm "testing" (i.e. playing) to prepare for an upcoming video. May not be this week, but within two weeks I would guesstimate. I want to make sure I cover all the main topics. Again, thank you for subscribing, it truly means a lot. Every new subscriber makes me happy and encourages me to keep going.
@@WagnersTechTalk do you think we need a screen protector or is that unnecessary? I applied one to my RG300, made me feel safer, cos if these things get a scratch that's it for life. I've ordered the RG350 carry case anyway so I guess it won't really get marked. Just wondered what your thoughts were. I always really look after my things
@@WagnersTechTalk one issue I have with the RG350M is the placement of the L2 button. Some games use L2 to aim or look and then use the D pad or left stick for direction. I find this combination tricky. Especially L2, L or Down
I think any additional protection is a good thing. I keep mine in the RG350 case when not in use and don't have a screen protector but it is a good idea to have one.
Thinking about getting back on RacketNX in just a few min lol Maybe I'll see you there again. Thanks so much for checking out the channel. I mix in VR, Retro Gaming, Arcade, Raspberry Pi and pretty much anything that looks interesting. I'm always open to recommendations, if there is something you'd like to see :)
@@WagnersTechTalk Thanks for the link. Installing the right drivers fixed my issue. So much easier than opening it up and removing the card time and again.
In Wagner we trust! You make it all so much more simple and less stressful! Would love to see a vid of you explaining what to do if you bought the non bundle pack and have no games. Though you can't say where to go for roms etc, just step by step instructions for how to run ps1 games or mame games and explaining what to do with bios files, or how to get better performance and so on would be great for people I think. Thanks once again for more great content. I'd love to see a list of games I'm missing out on due to me accidentally not buying the bundle version, feel like my rg350 only does 10% off what it could do! Maybe 20% now that I've watched some of your videos haha. Looking forward to Commodore 64 tutorials and more vids though bud.
Haha, thank Dean! I really can't go into much detail on what your asking beyond what I did in this video: ua-cam.com/video/llQpdphFvZg/v-deo.html but some of what you're asking I probably could expand on a little bit more. I didn't buy a bundle with my RG350, mine came from China without any games so I don't have a list, etc. But, didn't need to apply any bios, etc. I've not yet made a video on the c64 *but* I have documented it here if you want to give it a go (should go pretty smoothly): wagnerstechtalk.com/rg350tips/#Commodore_64Vic-20_Emulator_VICE I will get to a video, once I document 1-2 more emulators I'm working on. I'm still frequently updating/revising this page when I can. Been sick for almost a week, so hadn't been in the right mindset. But, better now and ready to get some more RG350 stuff done! Thank you so much for following this channel, it means a lot to me to see people enjoy the content that I publish.
@@WagnersTechTalk Ah thanks, keep getting SOOOOO close with you =r instructional vids but I always seem to just fail in the end, like on the C64 emulator, got to the blue C64 screen but when I select my roms to play following your two dot instructions, it just says VICE ERROR Cannot load cartridge image. So close to playing Ghosts n Goblins and Harrier Attack! Wish I was smarter at this stuff! But thanks for your help.
That's really nice it's much faster On the gcw Zero which this is basically the same thing, using WiFi took forever If it was a bigger file like a PS1 game I use my cell phone to put apps & games on and off the rg350 I stick the rg350 card inside the SD memory card slot on my phone and transfer everything that way I use my phone as my primary internet and hotspot Be careful putting anything on your internal SD card because it becomes encrypted, if something happens to your rg350 you cannot take that internal memory card and stick it inside a computer and get the data off You'd have to plug it into another rg350 or another console that has the same operating system and then from there use this method here that Wagner showed
Dude! You're awesome! Mine shipped without Quake 2 opk on it so I added it! Sweet. I had been playing it on PS1, which is nice, but not as good. Now to try and get the damn mame thing to accept decent classic coin-ops. I'll be stunned and amazed if I ever get daphne to work. Thanks!
Very welcome, I have a bunch more information on my website if you haven't seen it already here: wagnerstechtalk.com/rg350tips It also goes into detail about getting Daphne to work. I hope this helps and thank you for your kind comments!
The only criticism is that with Windows Explorer, you cannot gain access hidden folders in the Home folder, such as SimpleMenu; that needs to be configured through WinSCP. Other than that, a great way to have quick access to your Roms & Media files. Thanks!
You're exactly right, I also added a few additional limitations here, when this video was released: wagnerstechtalk.com/rg350tips/#Easy_Way_to_Copy_Files_to_your_RG350 For a quick copy of files, this method works out pretty well for me.
@@WagnersTechTalk Ah yes, I do see the limitations noted in your tips. Your method is perfect for the quick & easy file transfers, which is mainly used after the initial program setups. Anyways thanks again for all your informative contributions for the RB350, it is extremely helpful!
I have no doubt you're going to enjoy it! Once you get it, be sure to come back here for more tips: wagnerstechtalk.com/rg350tips/ May have some more added by the time you get it :)
What do I do if I jacked it all up? I installed 1.7 no problem, but when I formatted my sd to fat32, it obviously erased all the games and now I can't reformat it since its read only. Tried ftp to transfer files, but says network not connected... Bluh. Everything was running great til I messed with it
@@andrewwolfgang7461 It's not clear what the issue is here. Which microSD card did you reformat the internal or external or both? If you know exactly what you're doing, you can reformat the microSD card using the SD Card formatter: www.sdcard.org/downloads/formatter/ and then re-image. Or better yet, hopefully you did all this on a new microSD card rather than the one that shipped with it and can simply re-install the original micro SD? If not, did you make a backup image of the microSD card as mentioned here wagnerstechtalk.com/rg350tips/#Backup_Existing_Firmware ? Aside from that, you would need to contact the manufacturer/seller for a replacement microSD card(s). Not sure if they can provide it to you or not.

I’m not very computer savvy is there anyway I can buy one of those 350 stands from you I think they’re very cool by the way great video always appreciate your help
Thank you Sir! I'm sorry, I don't sell anything on my channel/website myself. But, if you go here: www.thingiverse.com/thing:3980684 they have a link where you can click and "Order this printed". It doesn't come from me, they have a bunch of folks that print-to-order. I don't know what they charge for that service, but it's an option if you want to check it out.
Hi Wagner sir , i have RG351p has just arrived and having previously leaned through this video how to fully use the RG350m , i was shocked to discover that the 351p is completely different and i have no idea how to install ROMS as it seems entirely different , do you have one of these guides for doing this on the RG351p ? as I'm unable to find it.
Hi, the RG351p/m/v/mp are all running EmuElec from Anbernic where the RG350/p/m are running OpenDingux. So the information in this video isn't applicable to the device you have. However, you should be able to remove the microSD, locate the roms sub folder and copy your files directly to the card. My buddy MashTec also has a video on how to do it using just your phone here: ua-cam.com/video/9z9QY1HJWOw/v-deo.html
@@WagnersTechTalk Thank you sir , i really appreciate it , i used the Wifi connecter that came with the device and downloaded WINSCP , i also had to do some tinkering with the screen ratio's , total hassle , but eventually got there , thanks' again . I really miss the simple usb cable ways of the 350M .
HELP ME! Whenever I connect my RG350M to my PC it goes bananas, black screen after a while. Keyboard and mouse keep turning on and of. Also got bluescreen sometimes. what the heck. And also the PC will restart sometimes. (editing post for other user if you have the same problem, I disabled avast firewall and changed USB port it seems to work now)
Haven't seen much of what you mention here, nor heard of the keyboard/mouse turning on/off. Sounds like you might want to try a powered hub connected to your RG-350, then to your PC. It could be drawing more power than what you have available and likely have a number of devices connected (or at least some that are trying to pull more power than what is available). Also, see the first bullet here: wagnerstechtalk.com/rg350tips/#Troubleshooting_FTP regarding the signed driver installation. The above should help, theoretically.
@@WagnersTechTalk Thanks for the reply. I might have an powered USB connector somewhere actually. I'll try that. Also is thinking if it can be a bad cable mayby? My laptop seems to approve with the device. But can't connect to it though. My search continues
Great video, and I subscribed! Is there a way to view hidden files? I'm trying to set up Simple Menu, but I need access to the hidden files to do so.Thanks!
Hi Jamie, thank you for watching and subscribing! You won't be able to use this method for accessing hidden files, for that you'll need a more advanced program (and free) called WinSCP. My buddy MashTec has a great video that will show you how to setup SimpleMenu using WinSCP here: ua-cam.com/video/NaNY0C7kHTE/v-deo.html
Hello! Great video & channel. Could you informe if there is a MSX emulator in this device? If not, could you make a tutorial in how to do that, plus games? Tanks a lot
Thank you Alex, I appreciate it. There is an MSX emulator, that should work though there hasn't been any development activity on it lately. You can find it under "Computer Emulators" on this page: github.com/retrogamehandheld/OpenDingux Might be best for you to give it a try, I'm not at all familiar with that system and would take me some time to research. Not that I won't someday, just that it won't be very soon. I have a backlog of about 4-5 systems I hope to make videos on.
This video was only for the RG350, not the 351 series. They are two different operating systems. Assuming you're running EmuELEC on the RG351p it will likely be faster to just copy your games to the microSD directly. Especially if they are newer generation consoles (n64/PS1/PSP).
Just remove the microSD from the 351p, put it in a microSD reader (thumbstick type or SD sleeve), pop it into your computer and copy the games directly to the roms folder.
Hi! I followed the instructions perfectly every time but always get the following error message after mapping the drive: "Windows cannot access this folder. Make sure you typed the file name correctly and that you have permission to access the folder. Details: A connection with the server could not be established". Any ideas?
See the first bullet here: wagnerstechtalk.com/rg350tips/#Troubleshooting_FTP for installing the signed drivers. At the time this video was made, it wasn't needed but since then it is. This should help you out, let me know if not.
For PSX, those files are typically huge and USB 2.0 is much slower. You would be much better off copying them direct to the microSD rather than using the USB cable. For smaller files
I have a question Wagner, please. When I do exactly what you did, going to computer, adding a net location which is also 10.1.1.2, at the very end my cpu replies "Either the server does not allow anonymous logins or the e-mail address was not accepted" Why?
Make sure that you selected Allow Login without password. Full step-by-step instructions here: wagnerstechtalk.com/rg350tips/#Create_Shortcut and a Troubleshooting section right below. Hope that helps!

I'm having a problem with mine where i connect the device and while in configure network it does show the IP address and i selected the correct settings, my PC keeps making the noise where a device is try to connect and it does it several times and eventually my PC will crash which has happened 6 times now, I tried changing my antivirus software and that did nothing, also updated my Windows and that did nothing, changed USB ports and it still does the same thing, I really need help with this cause i don't feel comfortable knowing my PC crashes each time i connect the device.

can you please help me locate my ext. sd card on my rg350m. I have it formatted to fat32 and i put roms on it but my rg350m is not detecting the sd card at all. i have it put in correctly as well.
If you've applied a disk label when you formatted it, rename the microSD by removing your disk label (Example: Instead of "somelabel123" rename it to ""). Then, re-insert into the RG350m. You should see /media/sdcard at that point when you browse to it from DinguxCmdr. Not familiar with DinguxCmdr, see this: wagnerstechtalk.com/rg350tips/#DinguxCmdr_Mini-Tutorial
Unfortunately I have tried exactly as your video says but I get “windows cannot access this folder” ie it’s not connecting. I’ve tried with FTP and WINSCP, 3 different cables, numerous USB ports but still can’t connect to this “wonderful” device. Also when I pull the internal memory card out and try to access it via a TF card reader I get “drive is not accessible. The volume does not contain a recognised file system”. Despite the card working fine and the stock software/games working fine when the int card is in the device.
If you're having issues, please see the Troubleshooting section here: wagnerstechtalk.com/rg350tips/#Troubleshooting_FTP For some, the first bullet point helped. Hope it helps you as well!
@@WagnersTechTalk I kept at it and tried another PC and still couldn’t get remote access. I can only think there’s an issue with the unit? I removed the external TF card and copied everything I needed to it. The internal memory card (slot on the left) only has a bunch of files in the root dir and two empty folders.. that seems at odds with other users who mention needing certain additional files on the internal TF card. Is it possible to run everything I need from the external TF card? I feel I’m getting close to knowing which way is up with this thing, thanks for your videos and response.
May be an issue with the device, but yes you can run everything you need from the right microSD. Any additional emulators, just create a sub folder off the root called "apps", place the .opk's in there and the device will recognize them once re-inserted. Also, you can copy your games, etc. into the /roms sub folder. You can always transfer files directly to the microSD without the need for this, WinSCP, FTP, etc.
@@WagnersTechTalk Thank you for your help. I found the problem.. for some reason my up to date win 10 did not have the necessary driver for the rg350 which I found here: github.com/SeongGino/RetroGame350-AppRepo/blob/master/RG350-signed_driver.zip I had previously tried safe boot with network, closing down vpn, antivirus etc but in the end it was just a tiny driver that wasnt there. For you may like to know.
I know it’s an old video but I’m scratching my head I have a rg350m and for me it’s just plug and play I don’t need to do all of that to get to my files
Cant transfer PS roms to the RG . Says FT server doesnt work and something with permission to do it . Tried it to with programs like filezilla and WinSCP
Please see this section: wagnerstechtalk.com/rg350tips/#Troubleshooting_FTP Particularly the first bullet where it says "see this possible solution". You may need to install the signed driver. In my case, I never needed it but others appear to need it.
Need Help! I got to completing he connection, but the instead of the files opening in file explorer, it's asking me to select web browsers. There's not an option to opening file explorer. What am I doing wrong?

You can also try with WinSCP/FileZilla to see if they help as well.
Can i have some instructions on changing the language completely to english? I ordered one as a gift for someone but 3/4 the language on the menu and games are chinese and the seller are now saying that i have to install some kind of firmware to change that. The handheld seems now useless since the seller wont help me with the firmware and i dont have a clue how to do that.
Try this: Use the L/R (top) buttons to navigate to the tab that looks like a set of gears (settings). Select the middle icon on the top row (GMenu2x) and press 'A'. The very first option is the language, press the d-pad left/right and select English. Once done, press the START button. May not be necessary, but press the restart button at the bottom and see if this fixes the issue.
Perhaps unplug it and re-seat it? Should show in the /media/sdcard . You can also check DinguxCmdr to see if it sees it. If you tried re-seating it, make sure it's formatted as Fat32 as well. If you're not familiar with DinguxCmdr, here's a quick tutorial to help: wagnerstechtalk.com/rg350tips/#DinguxCmdr_Mini-Tutorial
I would guess the games you're playing may be coming off the internal microSD card rather than the external one. If DinguxCmdr isn't seeing the microSD card then it seems fishy. Perhaps it's a bad microSD card.
@@WagnersTechTalk I was able to update it and get the HDMI to work, but not my resolution is all messed up. The font is too big. Anyway to change the resolution?
I've tried this. I've tried swapping usb cables. I've tried the 'have you tried this?' link you post. I've tried Filezilla. I've tried pulling out the ext. SD card it came with and reading it directly from my computer and NOTHING will let me communicate/read what this device has. Which, sucks. Cause I really wanted to like this.
Hi Kenneth, have you tried the troubleshooting section here: wagnerstechtalk.com/rg350tips/#Troubleshooting_FTP ? If that doesn't help, the cable may be suspect. If you have another USB-C to USB-A cable, give it a try and see if that corrects the problem. May be the cable.
Get the proper Windows 10 driver here: github.com/retrogamehandheld/RG-350/blob/master/drivers/windows/RG350-signed_driver.zip and update the driver of the RG350 that shows when you connect it to the PC. It worked for me!
Hi. I tried many times, but I can't get it. It appears the message: "Windows cannot access this folder. Make sure you have entered the file name correctly and have permission to access the specified location. Details: A connection to the server could not be established. " Can you help me ?
Hi Rodrigo, just checking that you have seen/tried my troubleshooting guide here for the Filetransfer issues: wagnerstechtalk.com/rg350tips/#Troubleshooting_FTP I tried to add everything there, please let me know if it helps or not.
Informative, but no dice for me. I keep getting “Power surge on USB port. Unknown USB device needs more power than USB port can supply” message every time. An SD card reader is helpful at this time.
If you have a powered USB hub, connect that into your USB port on your computer. Then, the RG350 into the powered hub and let me know if that corrects the problem please.
Sorry but I followed the very simple guide (congratulations) but I can't connect my RG350M to Windows 10. I use a Samsung USB-C cable. It tells me it is impossible to establish a connection with the server. Even with Filezilla it's the same. Maybe the problem is the drivers? What should i install and how?
@@WagnersTechTalk Perfetto! I solved! For some reason, despite having Win10, I had to install the RG350 usb driver as you recommended. Thanks ! You're doing a great job on the RG350. Compliments
Please see the 5th bullet from the bottom here: wagnerstechtalk.com/rg350tips/#Interesting_Tips I unzip them into their own directory and haven't had any issues.
You could copy the firmware upgrade .OPK over to the microSD card. But if you're talking about re-flashing the microSD card then I'd remove it and flash it on a computer. That said, make sure you use a new microSD card and leave the original taped to the inside cover of the RG-350 incase you want to revert back.
@@WagnersTechTalk I don't want to have to open the console. I'd rather be able to simply upgrade it via plugging it in. If I can't, I will just leave it as it is.
You can, though if you have a lot of them to copy it will be much faster copying direct to the microSD card as PS1 games are quite large. Hope this is helpful.
Sorry, I don't yet have an RG350m for testing. You may want to ask on the RG350 subreddit for a faster response, I've only tried it with the RG350: www.reddit.com/r/RG350/
Yes, please see the first bullet here: wagnerstechtalk.com/rg350tips/#Troubleshooting_FTP You'll need to install the signed driver. It wasn't needed when this video was first created.
When you select 'Network' (under settings), you should see the IP addres: usb0: 10.1.1.2. If you don't, exit Configure Network, make sure your cable is connected and RG350 powered on and try again. You should then see 10.1.1.2 as the IP address. Then, you should be able to copy files after selecting "Allow login without password". Let me know how this works out for you.
The RG350 likely already had acquired the IP address, even though you weren't seeing it (the UI didn't refresh). Should be just fine, but it was likely that the cable was connected after you had launched the Configure Network app. Just a guess.
I have a different problem. Out of the box PSX games where running mostly fine (besides GT2 wich had the same problem as i have now with every game). After booting up the game usually the intros work fine but then I see like scan lines or like the buffor is just showing every 2/4 lines don't know how to fix that... Anyone had the same problem?
Try the most recent PCSX4All located here: github.com/SeongGino/RetroGame350-AppRepo/ (right-click and Save As), copy to your /media/apps subfolder. See if this helps. You will see two PSX icons in the Emulators tab, see if there is a difference between the two. PSX works fine on my RG350M.
Not with the base RG350, but you could install SimpleMenu to add a Favorite to launch an emulator+game. I've not used this myself, but MashTec has a great video on it here: ua-cam.com/video/NaNY0C7kHTE/v-deo.html&feature=emb_logo
I get an permission error. I didn't install any custom firmware. In the RG350 i did buy where an 32 GB SD Card included with games, but the system seems to be normal. After i did all your steps (yes, excactly, my WIn10 is in german, so the different points are translated, but they still look the same and i can after all translate from english to german). It loads a short while, than a message pops up. The message says, that the explorer cant access the folder. Also, that i should check if the name is right and all important permissions were granted. Any idea what could be wrong? My RG350 shows me IP addrs: usb0: 10.1.1.2 as IP. It did all steps three times, but every time it happens.
Only thing I can think of is a virus (or malware) scanner that's intercepting the IP communications or the "Allow login without password" wasn't set in the Network app. on the RG350. Check out my Troubleshooting section here and see if this helps: wagnerstechtalk.com/rg350tips/#Troubleshooting_FTP Let me know how it goes. I'll help as best I can.
@@WagnersTechTalk Well, theres only the Window Defender, i shut him down, didnt help. I even stopped the firewall for one try and closes some applications like an driver-updater and such stuff. The Allow login without password-option is set. I guess my handheld propably already has a slightley altered firmware and that may be the problem. Sighs... In a few days i meet a friend who has a SD-card adapter from me. Once i get him, i can go the other way, but still would prefering the easier way instead of using a screwdriver each time i want to add a new application. O.o
I cant get ps1 games on mine, iv now deleted my ps1 off my rg350 whilst trying... I downloaded roms but couldnt get them to work on my emulator... Now deleted it. Any help please
I think you're asking for the PS1 emulator itself, if that's the case you can find it here: rs97.bitgala.xyz/RG-350/localpack/default_emulators/ scroll down for pcsx4all-rg350-191112.opk, right-click and Save As (very important otherwise you'll get gibberish). Then copy it to a folder on your external microSD called "apps" (off the root). When you go into emulators, you should see it again. Hope that helps! ps. If that's not your question, search this page : wagnerstechtalk.com/rg350tips/ (lots of stuff there)
Any chance you could show how you download a ps1 game then transfer to rg350. Showing which files to move from where. A video else where was showing them being slid over from dinguxcmdr?? But urmt wasnt too clear
I can't show the actual download of PS1 games, for obvious reasons. But once you find them, just unzip and then use this information: wagnerstechtalk.com/rg350tips/#Installing_ROMs For PS1 games, since they are so large, you'll likely want to remove your external microSD from the RG350, insert in your computer and transfer that way (much faster). Then, when you launch the PS emulator, select the /media/sdcard/ROMS/PS sub folder (or whatever you called it) and launch the game. That's about it!
Going back over comments and I forgot to mention I do have a mini-tutorial on how to use DinguxCmdr. Sorry, should have mentioned that to you the other day, but you can find it here: wagnerstechtalk.com/rg350tips/#DinguxCmdr_Mini-Tutorial It will be helpful in learning this handy tool. Hope it's helpful to you!
So this is how you copy any game you want onto your console? I struggle so much with adding my own games and updating software etc incase I screw it up! Thanks
This is how I personally copy files. You can also use WinSCP, FileZilla, or just remove the microSD, copy your files and then use DinguxCmdr to copy files between the internal/external microSD cards. In this video ua-cam.com/video/XG5QSV8HiDQ/v-deo.html I show copying some games to the microSD, then using DinguxCmdr to copy them from the external microSD to the internal card. Lots of different ways to do it. Also, have a tutorial on how to use DinguxCmdr (handy tool to use): wagnerstechtalk.com/rg350tips/#DinguxCmdr_Mini-Tutorial
I got the RG350 and windows 11 and this doesnt work it will not connect and i followed the instructions perfectly, have any ideas? Cancel Comment GabensonTV Pinned by Wagner's TechTalk GabensonTV 2 years ago
Yep, a few months after this video there was a Windows update which now required a driver. See the first point here stating "see this possible solution": wagnerstechtalk.com/rg350tips/#Troubleshooting_FTP After installing that driver, should work.
Worked last time I tried it (a year ago). Now I connect my RG350M and it just refuses to connect at all. These things are so maddening. I guess at least I can pop out the SD card and do it that way.
See the very first bullet here: wagnerstechtalk.com/rg350tips/#Troubleshooting_FTP , you'll need the signed driver. At the time of making this video, it wasn't needed but it is needed on the RG350 today.
See the first item in the Troubleshooting section here: wagnerstechtalk.com/rg350tips/#Easy_Way_to_Copy_Files_to_your_RG350 (which points here github.com/retrogamehandheld/OpenDingux/wiki/Connecting-from-your-PC ). After this video was released, an update to Windows occurred that required this driver.
That's not good, please see the first bullet here: wagnerstechtalk.com/rg350tips/#Troubleshooting_FTP You may need to install the network driver. I didn't need it, but others have.
Please see the link on the 1st bullet here: wagnerstechtalk.com/rg350tips/#Troubleshooting_FTP At the time, this was not necessary to install the signed driver but now it is (this video is a bit old). Direct link to the driver: github.com/retrogamehandheld/RG-350/blob/master/drivers/windows/RG350-signed_driver.zip Extract the ZIP file, right click on the .inf files, and select "Install."
See the first bullet here: wagnerstechtalk.com/rg350tips/#Troubleshooting_FTP You'll need to install the driver for it to work. At the time of this video, it wasn't necessary but it is now.
The RG-350 already has a PS1 emulator pre-installed. If you're talking about games, the fastest method would be to copy directly to your microSD card since the files are typically several hundred MB. But yes, you can use this method to copy any files (.opk's, roms, etc.) Hope this helps!
Hi. Do I have to click "SELECT" or something else after putting the bar on "Allow login without password" or just leave it there while doing the other stuff? Because I can't connect. There is the RG350-Folder but when I click on it I get the message that I can't access this folder. I shall check if the name is right and that I have the rights to access it. But I did everything right and the IP-address is identical and also filled in correctly. Thanx for help.
I tried connecting so many times, I'm now to the point where I want to break stuff! I have read your troubleshooting and nothing works. Latest version of Windows 10, disabled all firewalls and antivirus. So I went to take out my SD card and put it into my computer....but apparently the SD card slot is TOO BIG and I almost lost the SD card! I REALLY do not want to break this gaming device or throw it away but if my computer (which SHOULD BE SMART ENOUGH TO RECOGNIZE THIS DAMNED DEVICE) won't connect to it, I'm going to consider it utter horse crap and toss it!
When you bought your microSD card it should have come with an adapter (sleeve) that the microSD card slides in to turn it into an SD-size card which will fit in your SD slot on your computer. If it didn't come with one, you'll likely want to get a card that does. I always buy Samsung SD cards, they include the SD card adapters. This would at least give you a way to copy files to your external microSD card which is what I think I understand you're trying to do here.
@@WagnersTechTalk Oh, looks like I need to by a sleeve for it. I just bought the game unit and it came with the Micro SD card. Thanks for the tip and the swift reply!
No problem. At the bottom of the RG350 is a small slot, this is typically where you would install a microSD that contains your games. Not everyone does it that way, but it's the easiest way IMO. If you're not sure what card to get, or need any info. I have a whole page dedicated to the RG350, lots of info. to check out: wagnerstechtalk.com/rg350tips/#Will_a_256GB_or_512GB_microSD_work
@@WagnersTechTalk Yeah that slot came with a 32GB micro SD card in it. I just need to get the sleeve for it, OR I did a little looking and found a SD to USB that looks promising as well.
Yes, those will work also. I didn't realize you already had a card in the external slot. I just received 2 of these today, working good so far: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06ZYXR7DL/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Yes, I used the cable that came with the RG350. Please see these trouble shooting steps and see if it helps: wagnerstechtalk.com/rg350tips/#Troubleshooting_FTP
CPU still won't be able to handle it, sorry. If you want to get the opinion of others, please post the question here: www.reddit.com/r/RG350/ Hope this helps.
The RG350 shouldn't lock-up, you should be able to exit the connection. Be sure to go over these instructions: wagnerstechtalk.com/rg350tips/#Easy_Way_to_Copy_Files_to_your_RG350 if you have difficulty after that, see the troubleshooting section below. This should help!
If you created an image backup of your firmware you can restore it. I have instructions for both backup+restore here: wagnerstechtalk.com/rg350tips/#Backup_Existing_Firmware
@@WagnersTechTalk i will try to flash the original firmware , if you know some site that you truste and can recommend it would be awesome. Anyway, thanks for all your support
Hi Mash Tech, enjoy your channel! You can use the root user when creating the shortcut, then when you go to the /media folder you'll have access to more (but not all folders). This method isn't perfect, but for quick file copy operations it can be useful. I recently updated my instruction page with the known limitations here: wagnerstechtalk.com/rg350tips/#Easy_Way_to_Copy_Files_to_your_RG350 As noted, I'm experimenting with this option and for 90-95% of the time I use this method.
Wagner's TechTalk Thanks for your replay dude. Your channel is a great source for RG350 users. I‘m happy you‘re with us :) I still prefer WinSCP, but ftp connection via windows shortcut is a great alternative for copy roms e.g. Keep going. I subbed you :)
Thank you Mash Tec, ditto here! I would love to add some of your videos to my tips page if you're ok with that? I would like to add a section on Frontends (ES and RetroArch) and show your videos there. Let me know if it's ok and it will happen soon. Subbed you as well :)
Happy New Year! Just wanted to let you know that I've added a few of your videos to the WTT Tips page here and link to your channel for more info: wagnerstechtalk.com/rg350tips/#Front_Ends
Hmmm, are you running Windows 10? Please see the trouble shooting section here and let me know if it does/doesn't help: wagnerstechtalk.com/rg350tips/#Troubleshooting_FTP
I'm totally computer illiterate. Just got mine today and all I want is metal gear solid added to it. Is there a simple way I can do this? Maybe through my phone?
Another way: Create a directory on the microSD card (from your computer) called "ROMS", copy/paste the game there. Then, plug it back into the RG350, launch the emulator and select the /media/sdcard/ROMS folder where you installed this one game. That's about as easy as it gets.
Thank you, I do mention in the video these instructions are for Windows 10 and no drivers needed for it. But, I did clarify that in the description as well.
I'm massively struggling. I'm not yech savey and just wanna play. Mine arrived the other day. Came with a load of games but only a couple ps1 games including a faulty resi 3. Is there somewhere I can just pay by someone to send me an SD card I can simply replace with the one it came with that has some good PS1 games on? Primarily looking for metal gear solid, resi series, ff8 etc Just wanna play the good PS1 games and SNES games like donkey Kongs and marios. So, in short, can I PayPal someone just to send me an SD card with these on (tested, so games actually run) that I can just pop the one out it came with and put new one in? Thanks in advance 😊

That's really nice it's much faster
On the gcw Zero which this is basically the same thing, using WiFi took forever
If it was a bigger file like a PS1 game
I use my cell phone to put apps & games on and off the rg350
I stick the rg350 card inside the SD memory card slot on my phone and transfer everything that way
I use my phone as my primary internet and hotspot
Be careful putting anything on your internal SD card because it becomes encrypted, if something happens to your rg350 you cannot take that internal memory card and stick it inside a computer and get the data off
You'd have to plug it into another rg350 or another console that has the same operating system and then from there use this method here that Wagner showed
Thanks!

The above should help, theoretically.

ive just tried this on the RG351P and i keep getting a ftp folder error (a conncetion with the server couldnt be established). Any idea?
This video was only for the RG350, not the 351 series. They are two different operating systems. Assuming you're running EmuELEC on the RG351p it will likely be faster to just copy your games to the microSD directly. Especially if they are newer generation consoles (n64/PS1/PSP).
@@WagnersTechTalk I just want more N64 games and I can't seem to do it.
Just remove the microSD from the 351p, put it in a microSD reader (thumbstick type or SD sleeve), pop it into your computer and copy the games directly to the roms folder.
Hi! I followed the instructions perfectly every time but always get the following error message after mapping the drive:

If you've applied a disk label when you formatted it, rename the microSD by removing your disk label (Example: Instead of "somelabel123" rename it to ""). Then, re-insert into the RG350m. You should see /media/sdcard at that point when you browse to it from DinguxCmdr. Not familiar with DinguxCmdr, see this: wagnerstechtalk.com/rg350tips/#DinguxCmdr_Mini-Tutorial
Whats best wierd pad for emulater like super comper x and rg351p
I found the problem.. for some reason my up to date win 10 did not have the necessary driver for the rg350 which I found here:

I had previously tried safe boot with network, closing down vpn, antivirus etc but in the end it was just a tiny driver that wasnt there. For you may like to know.
I know it’s an old video but I’m scratching my head I have a rg350m and for me it’s just plug and play I don’t need to do all of that to get to my files
It's yet another way to transfer files tofrom the device without having to remove the microSD card.

I can't see my SD card when I plug in the RG350 into the computer. I can see the internal card but not the SD card. Any ideas?
Perhaps unplug it and re-seat it? Should show in the /media/sdcard . You can also check DinguxCmdr to see if it sees it. If you tried re-seating it, make sure it's formatted as Fat32 as well. @@WagnersTechTalk It's formatted to FAT32, DinguxCmdr does not see it. I can play games no problem from it so I can't seem to figure out the problem.
I would guess the games you're playing may be coming off the internal microSD card rather than the external one. If DinguxCmdr isn't seeing the microSD card then it seems fishy. Perhaps it's a bad microSD card.

Ok so I do not the the network configuration app any way I can get it some how?
Can the network feature be used to update the firmware?

@@WagnersTechTalk its weird, even though it doesnt show, I was able to map the network connection and copy files.

And then to psx4all?
I bought an RG350 for myself and my younger sibling. Is there a way of adding ps1/snes games icons to the "Games" tab just for easier access?

Not everyone does it that way, but it's the easiest way IMO. oh dude thanks thanks THAAAAAAAAAAAAANKS
You're very welcome, happy you found it helpful!
There is driver to be installed if it's Windows 7. I'm sorry but I'm not going to teach you how to install driver.
Thank you, I do mention in the video these instructions are for Windows 10 and no drivers needed for it. But, I did clarify that in the description as well.
Thanks!!!
You bet!
