The Mandalorian Season 2 Episode 5 (2020)
Ahsoka Tano vs Morgan Elsbeth
I cropped clips to avoid a copyright claim but I'll just pretend like it was intentional to use 4:3 aspect ratio.

gosh, this edit makes the fight that much more gorgeous. it feels like im watching a fight in a classic samurai film
that was the inspiration
You can't tell me this fight wasn't heavily inspired by old Japanese films.
the Magistrate was Bruce Lee's Goddaughter. I think that's cool

¨ONCE UPON A TIME IN ¨MANDALORE¨....
This fight wasn't heavily inspired by old Japanese films.
Akira Kurosawa approves.
Everything about this is gorgeous.
Hello there
I love the way what you did with aspect ratio. Really feels like old samurai film like Seven Samurai(1954)
The sound of clashing lightsabers and beskar sounds so good
Not a single word, beautiful.
That's a Kurosawa reference! ☝️😯
Ashoka was alot less vicious in clone wars in this she hacks up a bunch of people
Yeah, she seemed more like a soldier, not a "keeper of peace"
To be fair it’s after all her friends are murdered or turn to the dark side
Ikr she was slicing and dicing all of those guys
Because they were trying to kill her - at one point she disarms a guy and lets him go
Ahsoka*
UGH THE ASPECT RATIO! YESSS!!!
Such a creative edit, another fantastic video!! Keep up the quality content :)
Looks like old Akira Kurasava films
Shades of Kurosawa films
This fight is so good
Lord Porg, amazing once again
Like an amazing samurai film 40 years ago. (The lightsaber looks like newer than in The Originals, but amazing work.)
Wow.. Didn't know i needed this. Only seen one old samurai film, but this instantly brought me back to it!
I remember when I first saw her in clone wars. Now… this.. it’s amazing.
Looks straight out of a 1930’s Japanese samurai film
Looks like a movie made somewhere during 1800 but with sounds
This was awesome
the fucking atmosphere
Oh that’s so cool. It’s filmed in A24 style Noice! 👀👏
This is actually better holy shit!
Had a lady Snowblood vibes right here
Can you please do a Boba Fett video? Your work is truly astounding as always bro! Keep up the amazing work!
Ahsoka definitely let herself get disarmed so Elsbeth would get more aggressive and be easier to beat.
Definitely but I wish it was more obvious for casuals
Ghost of Tsushima called this: "Kurosawa Mode."
Some of the action direction in this episode was a little weak, but holy shit this scene made up for it. The Samurai style duel offset by Mando's western style shootout was incredible and basically everything great about Star Wars down to a tee.
STAR WARS directed by Akira Kurosawa
a spear vs 2 swords
thats fair
Akira Kurosawa loved this
Can you edit all times maul was in sw in order of the story line, I would love to see his action in sw but can't find a good video of this and I know it would look great if u made it
Oh fuck yeah
This is amazing. Where did you get the original footage?
The mandalorian season 2 episode 5
Beautiful, but I'm confused at how the lightsaber doesn't cut through metal... unless I'm missing some vaguely specific piece of lore.
It's Beskar, the strongest metal in Star Wars. It's found on mandalore and they (Mandalorians) used it for their armor and weapons to fight against the jedi because it's able to withstand lightsabers. Then the empire rose to power and they basically destroyed all of Mandalore and started mining Beskar themselves which is why it's so rare.
It was an ok fight....
Kill bill vibes anyone?
Lol it’s just like ep 1 in visions
So this is the same ashoka that fought Darth Vadar and maul but almost lost to her
Ahsoka*
She was holding back because she desired information, not to kill her.
What is Star Wars without grandiose over designed fights? Also ya she wasn't trying to kill the Magistrate, you see how she started to fight seriously and won almost instantly when she reversed her grip?
What is the lore reason for why the metal doesn't heat up enough to be too hot to hold?
Yeah its a spear made out of beskar which is a metal found on Mandalore. It is renown for having properities like not even being fucked by blasters point blank or lightsabers.
@@oswaldito1949 that explains it's durability. But even if Tungsten is just as durable at 500 degrees, that doesn't mean you can hold it.
@@legendsofmichael4315 Its not tungsten its a fictional metal known for it s high durability like vibranium in marvel. I mean obviously it can't hold on for long time but its a disservice to say it isn't lhigly resistant
*kurosava* *mode* *online*
Why is Thrawn a part of the Mandalorian?
Who else thought that this was a terrible duel? Not dissing porg, just the duel
5/10 footage not grainy enough.
give us griveus pls
You remember the video vith kilo ren and dart Vader, make an ader van again, darck side îs stronger in you
Jedi? Where? As usual the fandom is the dumbest ever...
Chapter 13 is literally called “The Jedi”. I think that’s where the title comes from. It refers to either Ahsoka or Grogu or perhaps both. You could say Ahsoka is “the Jedi”. And I’m not talking about the Jedi in a technical sense. Yes, she is no longer part of the Jedi Order. But Ahsoka is shown to be more Jedi-like than the most of the Jedi by being selfless and always trying to help others. She represents what a Jedi is supposed to be. That’s why people see her as a true Jedi. C’mon, it’s not hard to understand. But I guess you are right. The fandom is dumb.
She isn't of the Jedi order, but she is a light sided force wielder.... so ya Jedi
How do you always manage to make an already epic scene more epic?
Ahsoka gets disarmed far too often lol
And electrocuted and killed
She learned it from Anakin who learned it from Obi-Wan.
If you wielded a spear like that you would disarmed literally.
She was Bruce Lee's Goddaughter
Deleted scene from the seven samurai
Delicious finally some good fucking content
Amazing work you have made the best scense in the starwars life even better, keep up the hard work man it is greatly appriciated❤
personally was hoping ahsoka would just die already
It’s like a spaghetti western (with the howling wind lack of music and two equally trained opponents clashing), and a classic samurai (the camera angles, the black and white film, and obviously the martial art style of weapon fighting with the very notable Japanese aesthetics of the background).
hey do you happen to be thecloakedclone on tiktok? That person is posting all of your videos and claiming them as their own.
You should make a tribute to Ezra Bridger
Well done, loved it!
I loved this scene inspo kurosawa
Awesome
One day, my foe will know my name.
Вспомнил фильм "Харакири"
This is great.

Which editing software do you use?
DaVinci Resolve
@@DarthPorg for all your videos or just this one

@@DarthPorg thanks man, you are a real one for replying
Wow I didn't expect to be this early
Probably my all-time favorite episode of The Mandalorian. I love how you’re really able to feel that western/samurai influence
A lot of people I know say Asoka is way more vicious but she lived through two wars and lost lots of important people Friends, mentors, and in someway her only family but she is still completely in control and besides they didn’t give her much of a choice
Yep
Plo koon- killed during order 66
Anakin Skywalker- became a sith
Obi wan- said he was killed during order 66 by bail organa
Rex - unknown
Bail organa- killed on alderaan
Kanan- killed by pryce
Ezra- unknown
Sabine- unknown
@@something7641 Sabine is alive she’s coming back in the Ashoka series
That's a great editing
Yeah that scene was good. But Ahsoka took way too long to defeat her, like she faced Vader and Maul. Also I hope we see Boba next episode.
in my mind it was because they were paying homage to old movie samurai fights. they are always slow until the final move which they kinda did here. also she's in her 40s now, give her a break shes an old lady lol
I feel she was toying with her in some way, Ahsoka could have defeated her in an instant but because that wouldn't have been very entertaining, they had the fight go on longer.
CT 7567 Yeah your probably right
Smoggy Fogbottom Lol yeah perhaps that was the plan
Reason being that she is a Nightsister who survived the raid on Dathomir. She probably had some training back then and when you add that Ahsoka was trying not to kill her and played with her at the beginning, it feels right.
Seems that someone doesn't understand
how lightsabers work
It is just fight from "Mandalorian"
