You and I seem to share a taste in inks! I always go toward the Sailor shading inks. I’ve bought and loved samples of 173, Seki and Kobe 54. 173 made lovely washes but was too light for me to write with, so I might try Arizona next time! I also want Ayame now.
What type of tool are you using for the ink swatches? It looks like a type of calligraphy nib but I have never seen one like it. It lays down the ink beautifully!
It's an automatic pen. I love it. I got a few of them at a small art store back home years ago and use them for all my swatching. They are more commonly found in the UK but there's a great shop based out of Nashville that carries them. www.paperinkarts.com/automaticpens.html
It’s from Dromgooles - its Cosmo air light. But you can buy a Nebula from Coloverse as well. I have them linked in my amazon storefront (Amazon storefront link is in the description box).
The haha is my fav. It’s on my list.
It's so perfect!
I love this! I feel like the universe is telling me to buy a Sailor pen, but my toddler says I should NOT
I love my Sailor pens. Their nibs are phenomenal!

I think Arizona would definitely be worth a try. It’s so pretty as definitely darker for writing. You’ve got great taste 😉
173 looks like a match to a Pentel pastel highlighter. I could be wrong.
Love that Arizona!
It's really striking. I wasn't taken by many of the state inks but Arizona was just perfect!

@@JustScribble Thank you so much for explaining and sharing the link! I look forward to buying one.
Happy to help!
O.o never knew they held virtual pen shows
It’s a new thing since Covid. It was fun!
Where did you get the spiral bound journal?

@@JustScribble Thank you!
Are you doing the ink show this year?
Not this year. I have so much ink and they don’t have too many new ones. I’ll probably do it again next year - aim for every other year 🤓
@@JustScribble - That's a good strategy! I'll be king tomorrow for the first time. Any tips? I already have a spreadsheet. 😅
@@PlanBudgetDisney I just had a list and enjoyed the process. Ask questions and to see samples. They are super helpful.
Your swatches turned out gorgeous!
Didn't know Sailor had a virtual pen show! Did they sell pens too?!
Thank you! These inks are so pretty! No just inks at the virtual show. It’s fun though!
