The story about the theatre troupe has been voice acted very nicely on UA-cam somewhere, I highly recommend checking that out as well! Kindred is such a fantastic take on the concept of an embodiment of death. Edit: The version I'm thinking of is by Natures Temper.
This entire video. Is exactly why Kindred is my favorite. How the champ plays. And the lore behind them and how they work together. The quotes always get me. Ill never forget when they released.
The story Lamb telling when Wolf ask her to told him a story is their Origin !! The man in the story was the Grim Reaper of that world, his job were so lonely, so he split himself into 2 entity is Lamb (who inherit his kindness) and Wolf (who inherit his madness) !! After they're born, they continued their father's job. But now, they're not alone anymore !! "So he will always have a friend!!!"
its more than that that got shared.. seems Wolf is the emotions of the pale man, while lamb got his intellect and wisdom. This explains why Wolf always turns to lamb for knowledge and never the other way around while Lamb always sounds so detached
One thing I wish I knew about Kindred and the other personifications of death on Runeterra was how they view the Darkin. Thanks to the aspect of twilight/change, they will never die and when they possess a mortal form, the unleash carnage upon the world. I wonder how they view the Darkin's inability to die, especially how they would see Aatrox since his own death is literally his goal while taking out the rest of the world is simply to keep himself out of his prison and to attract either a more powerful host or someone who can finally end him.
Darkins aren't immortal. They can die by getting released from their prison (the weapons they're sealed into). Doing so would be stupid because the Darkins aren't nearly as strong now as they used to be, with maybe the exception of Aatrox and Xolaani. It'd be similar to fighting Kayle VS fighting Mihira. They're both insanely strong Aspect of Justice, but Mihira is in a whole other league.
I don't need to tell you this again, but i will. I absolutely ADORE your reactions to League lore! Im so happy you did this video! I am fascinated by Kindred. I find their lines so poignant and powerful.
Think this is the second video of yours I've watched. I just wanted to say how much I love and respect your decision to research these characters prior to the video so you have much needed context lol. As a league player and lore enjoyer its easy to forget how complex it can become especially with the voice lines 😂
Thanks a lot, yeah it only makes sense to react that way so at least I know what I am watching, also feels more respectful plus the universe is so awesome it'd be a shame to miss out
Some cool nuances about Kindred lore that might be a little harder to find that just in their story on universe page: - Yorick lines from the Video: Yorick is Immortal as he is partly affected by Viego's Black Mist after Ruination but also stayed alive with vial of Waters of Life ["Tell me of the beyond... in case I never make it."] he carries around his neck. He considers his mission of freeing Isles from Black Mist his basically Holy mission where goal justifies all ways he can get to it ["What I do is just. Every horrid piece of it."]. Sadly 'Ruination Event' happened and Yorick was excluded from it, and his character conflict was resolved without him basically but it is what it is :(. Point is, because Yorick can't die. He wants to but he considers it his duty to save souls trapped by Black Mist - Thats why when in video you watched he says that he *always* sees the Kindred and in his death quote that wasnt included in the video he says: ["I see the Wolf"] - he 'cheats' death so he doesn't deserve quick death of Lambs Arrow. - Champions like Swain ["L: He owes us a remainder. W: I want it all!"], Sion ["L: Come Sion, let us end this mockery"] or Gangplank ["W: Have we met before?!"] ["L: Rushing to meet us again I see."] or even Ekko ["L: We know your name, child. Woven across countless almost-lives."] are all also cheating death by some means, all of their own. - You noticed there is a lot of Shuriman champions included - this is purely by chance. Kindred were added to Legends of Runeterra (Riot's card game) in same update as at the time new Region for gameplay purposes - which was exactly Shurima. It's simply easier to coordinate champion interactions intended to be added in single update so more Shurima champions here. - And that one line: ["W: Will we ever die little Lamb?"] ["L: Perhaps, when at last our masks are forgotten"] ["W: What happens then?"] ["L: It may be that another takes us beyond"] ["W: I will fight them!"] ["L: Of course you will, dear Wolf"] hold quite a cool world-building element added also by Legends of Runeterra with release of Kindred to that game. It's implied that Spirits (like Kindred) can also die. They are basically brought to life by faith, Kindred is just the most well known depiction of the Grim Reaper in Runeterra. But with Kindred there came more cards showing more different 'deaths' just less known acorss the land. One of them, Fading Icon [ leagueoflegends.fandom.com/wiki/Fading_Icon_(Legends_of_Runeterra) ] is basically forgotten.. It's implied that they were believed by Shurimans in times of Empire's prime but since then they all died out of were granted Immortality by the sundisk (Ascended or Baccai). And who could forget their god of death by those cursed with immortality? Nobody believes in their story, their legend anymore. So thats when *'Second Death'* comes for them, personalized in other, vulture-like creature you recognised from the story yourself - The Etherfiend [ leagueoflegends.fandom.com/wiki/The_Etherfiend_(Legends_of_Runeterra) ]. Simlarly how Kindred personalize Acceptance of Death in Lamb and brutal Chase of Death after those running from it in Wolf, Etherfiend represents being forgotten by everyone - death even spirits can succumb to..
In case you're wondering the piece of music of the voice lines is 'On the Nature of Daylight' by Max Richter, a lovely song that has been used before in media, recently more prominently in a certain chapter of The Last of Us, that made everyone cry.
Lamb and Wolf oddly enough remind me of Eddie Brock and Venom from Marvel, where Venom is always eager for the kill and a good fight but Eddie has to reel him and act as the voice of reason. Now I just want to see Kindred appear in Arcane, or at least be mentioned.😅 These two are SO CUTE!🥹
3:57 Yorick is immortal due to the tear he carries around his neck. He can see Wolf chasing him, but Wolf will never get to him until the moment he'll get rid of his necklace. That's what he's talking about here.
The kindread have my favorite voice lines along Jericoh Swain. Swain, the man "who have gained a hand to rule for an oath" have a trully great voice line. In the game he collect other people secrets. So he have a ton of really cool interactions... also he is the main actor who changed Noxus from the villains to this kingdom-ender empire who belives in strength. I suggest very much that his is the next voice line u react.
The grey man is kindred. The grey man is death, not metaphorically, or rhetorically, or poetically, or theoretically, or any other fancy way. This is why all must meet kindred. Kindred is the strongest death but there are others, the stronger belief in kindred the more kindred lives. Kindred dies when they are forgotten and replaced by another form of death that's why you see the bird.
Also, i mentioned in the call of power, the Ryze video that he is probably the mysterious mage who teleport jayce and his mom from frejord.. u can see the teletransport and his rune magic - like jayce's hextech runes.
4:17 People don't realize how important this simple "Grey man" quote is. This means that Fiddlesticks was alive before the Grey man split himself in two. He's old as fuck 🤯.
Don't confuse Thrash with Thresh the champion haha. I recommend you the Legends of Runeterra interactions. The one for Aatrox has a lot of interactions with other darkins. Also, for Regions Lore check out Noxus will Rise from Shambits gaming, he also has one video for Ionia and another for Demacia. Fun fact, Kindred is a lesser spirit, and like the rest of the Runeterra lesser spirits, they have a limit on their influence. For example, Mordekaiser never heard about the kindred when he was alive, instead, his culture taught him of the hall of bones after death. So he never met the kindred, and in the realm of death he just refused to fade away.
Watching arcane again with all the knowledge will blow you away with all of the references that aren't mentioned, such as kindred's mask being featured in the brothel scene (i guess you wouldnt know if you didn't know about kindred beforehand), it appears at about 21 seconds in this video of the couple sat on a chaise lounge: ua-cam.com/video/ZuJXdqdAL30/v-deo.html
I run a dnd game and in my setting there is a undead child that kind of acts like kindred and one of my players made a deal with them and their is a chance that they also turn into a reaper like character. They are an archer with a living shadow and they may end up becoming a kindred like character

I love the idea that Lamb is the part of death that claims those who accept it with a clean swift arrow to the heart and wolf wants them to run because he hunts down those who refuse to die and therefore delivers a painful and agonizing death. He quite literally rips them apart.
Still my favourite Champion Lorewise and so much can extend from their lore and how they could be a red line through every champion ♥ Light - Dark Kind - Evil Gentle - Harsh and alot more things they represent when listened too
When doing these i definitely recommend also looking into the Legends of Runeterra Card interactions. The stories from the second video were from there. There are videos of them online too
Probably one of the best character design of death. An iconic dou of the lamb and the wolf. The yin and the yang. Wolf as a vicious and brutal outcome of (their) death. (such as tragedy, accidents or getting killed) Lamb as the gentle and swift death. (Like a person dying in sleep)
Kindred's voice lines are interesting, but that's not surprising to me. For some reason, I always find characters that are supposed to embody death or the circle of life to be interesting. I know there are voice line videos out there for at least most, if not all champions in League, but do you intend to react to them all? If not, what are the chances to you reacting to Neeko's voice lines and teaser trailers/videos? I honestly don't know how connected they are to the lore of Runeterra as a whole, so I'm unsure how much sense they'd make for the channel, but I always liked the more upbeat, bubbly, or innocent characters' voice lines, and for some reason Neeko always stands out to me among those. ✌🤓
Thanks for the Neeko suggestion. I am actually thinking of a Neeko/Nidalee combo reaction. Esp with the LoR update those should be entertaining for Ola for sure.😉👍
Wolf don't understand emotions but feel it, while lamb understand it but can't feel it. That's the reality of life and death. You might think you understand life while in reality you just feel it. And you might think you can feel life, but you just learning about life.
The fact that Fiddle knows who Kindred was before she splitted from the Grey man to the lamb and the Wolf it's very creepy bcs this might've been centuries upon centuries maybe milenias ago
I saw your channel video for the first time today it was Aatrox's video and I immediately thought about my personal fav character's video would be good and here I am. nice
Hopefully you will find more videos you like on Ola's playlist. And always feel free to suggest reactions you miss. Ola always has an eye on the comments 😉
5:14 Swain. He's one of the 3 leaders of the Empire of Noxus, with Darius, and the Faceless (which we all think is Leblanc who used to be a mage in Mordekaiser's inner circle; basically she's at least 1400 years old and strong enough to seal away the guy who came back from the dead twice i.e. Mordekaiser himself).
Death, represented as the swift and the severe parts. This video may be a little missleading cause the videos doesn't show the context when it triggers, and yet they add chats and interactions between lore (real) and skins (alternate universe) chats.
Kindred is not actually a "Man".. Or angel etc.. Kindred is basically appearance of death.. Everybody got wrong idea that Kindred is a death angel.. But he or she is not an angel or creature.. He/she is literally the appearance of death..
I wonder which I'd be taken by. Life is worth living, so surviving illness and injury, while it can be a struggle, is worth doing. But I'm not afraid to die, as it is inevitable. So would I be chased by Wolf because life is worth struggling or would I be greeted by Lamb, as I accept that my life will end?
While I accept Lambs arrow, I will not allow myself to simply surrender. Accept that nothing lasts forever, but fight to live and grow even in blighted soil.
Lamb and Wolf are my most interesting depiction of Death. You either choose to die peacefully, or Death will chase you and you die a horrible death. This means, if you accept Death as part of Life - you lifed an easier and maybe a happier life (At least for me). If you choose to not accepting death, every death you encounter, not just your own, feels horrible and tears you apart in a way. If someone dies and you accept it, you are maybe sad for the moments that could have been, but not because the person itself is dead, meaning you live a better life. (imo) While, they didnt gave me that view directly - After a while I learned that this depiction of Death is the most accurate. As their story stated - You live a better life when accepting it and not "running" away from it.
4:50 "The Isles will bloom again!" I suggest reading "The Ruination" novel or learning about that event in the lore (the event in the games didn't go too well… 😅). It's a huge piece of League's lore.
I've seen that you watched some vids about Darkins, but you still didn't saw "As we fall", there is great sountrack, and story about Varus, the Darkin's arrow. You should see this.
You should also try champions theme songs from their login screen. Some are awesome like kindred, Tahm Kench, Volibear, Naafiri and Aatrox just to name some of them…
He's far from immune. He's actually garanteed to meet Kindred because the prophecy states that "he will die in his sleep". His death is garanteed and so is his meeting with Kindred.
I would highly recommend checking out Arelion Sol's lore and cinematics when you get the chance. For contextual purposes (depending on which you inevitably end up watching/reading first), Aurelion Sol is a cosmic dragon born from the very birth of the universe. He can and is responsible for creating countless, if not all of the stars in the entire universe, crafting them with such care and tenderness that he compares them to works of art that should be revered for untold eons. As a result, he's rather pompous and narcissistic - but he has a right to be, since his stars allow a significant amount of life in the universe to even exist. This means that Aurelion Sol has a somewhat low opinion of mortal creatures, barely regarding them as little more than specks of cosmic dust that cower, worship, and beg at the mere sight of him or his actions. One day however, the Targonians and the Aspects - the faction to which Leona and Diana belong to - and their empire catch his attention and he decides to reveal himself to them, like a god before their subjects. They present him with a crown of celestial jewels as an offering and gift and, being the egotistical space lizard he is, he gladly accepts it. He quickly comes to realize however, that the crown is no gift. Instead, it is a means for the Targonians and Aspects to control him and fight their enemies for him; if he refuses, one of his stars is destroyed as punishment. These guys quite literally put a leash on a god and then force him to squish anything or anyone they don't like. As you can imagine, Aurelion Sol is less than pleased at being told what to do and harbors a deep grudge against them that has lasted for the thousands of years that the crown has kept him under their control. Until recently, that is. For whatever reason, the crown's magic is starting to weaken and he finds he can resist their commands for longer than he originally could. It's only a matter of time when the crown fails entirely and Aurelion Sol will be able to unleash his full fury and wrath against the Targonians and Aspects for their impudence. And if there's one thing you absolutely don't want to get on the bad side of, it's a cosmic dragon that snuffs out stars like mere candles. That's no joke either. In the first cinematic, he quite literally makes a brand new star in the palm of his hand and crushes it just a second later: ua-cam.com/video/CAAnY_L4Pp4/v-deo.html Second Cinematic: ua-cam.com/video/i_ujOtLDQco/v-deo.html Quotes/Voice Lines: ua-cam.com/video/YSqCEidqc0M/v-deo.html

She is very important and mysterious character and pretty much every major event in Runeterra is connected to her. Her interactions in Legends of Runterra are awesome and the stories are too. Watch whichever one you want My opinion: Everytime people keep trying to get reactors to not use "just another nobody." When will people realize that his videos are a way better introduction then a systematic break-down of every line with in-depth subtitles when you're not that deep into the lore yet. The music, atmosphere, and lines displayed are a excellent summary for a champion without too much filler. Skinspotlight and others are better after you've seen his or once you have knowledge of the roster, some in-game items, towers, champions, etc.

Many regions have had different representation of Death but the Lamb & the Wolf are the most common ones nowadays. For example, Demacians prefer to accept death with grace, to embrace the Lamb, while Noxians take pride in facing the Wolf and fight until the end.
for me the extra interestign part is.. what the hell would Olaf meet, He wants death and would gladly embrace it but would likely refuse to go down without a fight... so which aspect of Kindred would he meet? Both?
@@thorveim1174 oh, that's an interesting thing to think about.. considering trynd in the Still Here cinematic. Cause Olafs prophecy is supposed to be absolute. Maybe in reality it would be of old age, but considering seeing kindred is a perspective thing from the about to die being, mayhaps he would still get his wish by getting to fight wolf in his head so to speak.
@@thorveim1174 he tries and tries to find wolf but wolf never finds him and thus ends finding lamb in his bed of old age
i always loved the line they say when they use their ultimate (wich makes EVERITHING unable to die in an area) "Not here! Not now!" "Shine once more before the end"
Never one.
Without the other.
Never one.
Without the other.
Kindred Fiddlesticks and Xayah+Rakan are my favourite voice lines. Your reactions were great
Aw thanks a lot :)
@@StopMeOh@DweebGaming The gray man/pale man, as Ovečka herself says, is the first death. He was alone since the end of existence, and since he was the one who transfers people to the other world when they take their last breath, no one liked him.
Because he, as a separate death, represented the loss of a loved one.
So that he wouldn't use the ax {"sword blades"} himself, with one cut he divided his entity into two Aspects of death, a direct and almost painless death of a Sheep & a slow & bloody death of a Wolf.

The story about the theatre troupe has been voice acted very nicely on UA-cam somewhere, I highly recommend checking that out as well! Kindred is such a fantastic take on the concept of an embodiment of death.
Edit: The version I'm thinking of is by Natures Temper.
Necrit did voice it, so on his channel perhaps.
I imagine they feel quite sorry for them
Darkins aren't immortal.
Thanks again, I really appreciate it :)
Omg that Wolf voice actor is so creepy! I love it!!
Thanks so much Ola🥰Hope you're having a wonderful vacation!🤗
Think this is the second video of yours I've watched. I just wanted to say how much I love and respect your decision to research these characters prior to the video so you have much needed context lol. As a league player and lore enjoyer its easy to forget how complex it can become especially with the voice lines 😂
Thanks a lot, yeah it only makes sense to react that way so at least I know what I am watching, also feels more respectful plus the universe is so awesome it'd be a shame to miss out
I physically cannot listen to Lamb's Voice Line video, or even theme without silently crying, not weeping, just tears falling as i watch
Honestly Kindred is one of my favorite idea's for an aspect of death. To be the yin yang makes it feel more grounded.
oh i loved that you also had runeterra interactions, they really add a ton of extra lore
I absolutely love the kindred because of how they are, If you accept your death, Lamb takes you peacefully, if not, Wolf will chase.
Some cool nuances about Kindred lore that might be a little harder to find that just in their story on universe page:
- Yorick lines from the Video: Yorick is Immortal as he is partly affected by Viego's Black Mist after Ruination but also stayed alive with vial of Waters of Life ["Tell me of the beyond... in case I never make it."] he carries around his neck.
- And that one line:
["W: Will we ever die little Lamb?"]
["L: Perhaps, when at last our masks are forgotten"]
["W: What happens then?"]
["L: It may be that another takes us beyond"]
["W: I will fight them!"]
["L: Of course you will, dear Wolf"]
hold quite a cool world-building element added also by Legends of Runeterra with release of Kindred to that game.
Thanks a lot for all of this!
Fun Fact. The Young man Mel's mom hooks up with was wearing a Kindred mask in the brothel Caitlyn and Vi went too.
Lamb and wolf are mysterious and spine chilling but I can't explain it they are so unique, I am very invested in their story
its kinda sad yet hopeful which is kinda what they are they are death/the pale man split in 2 either embrace death or run for it and meet the wolf.
In case you're wondering the piece of music of the voice lines is 'On the Nature of Daylight' by Max Richter, a lovely song that has been used before in media, recently more prominently in a certain chapter of The Last of Us, that made everyone cry.
Oh yeah for sure I love that piece and loved it in TLOU too!
Kindred is by FAR my favorite champion in Leagues lore.
Been waiting for Kindred’s voicelines for so long! 😍
He is on the list already, but not as the next one. The reaction comes for sure. 👍
Lamb: we finish eachother's...
Wolf: sandwiches!
4:17 People don't realize how important this simple "Grey man" quote is. This means that Fiddlesticks was alive before the Grey man split himself in two. He's old as fuck 🤯.
Why Fiddle starts telling the story is because he feeds of the fear and the fear of Kindred is being lonely again (grey man)
also litle fun fact, the wolf wears the mask of lamb and lamb wears the mask of wolf
I get chills every time i hear Wolf and Lamb say, "So he could always have a friend"
@@S9staryu SAME!!
Some of them are skins which is why god fist Lee sin is unfamiliar.
Also yes it is a story gankplank died, best event in league history ngl.
My favorite interaction. Poor Wolf, they killed her, they killed them all, and he can't let go of his anger until they're all dead.
I run a dnd game and in my setting there is a undead child that kind of acts like kindred and one of my players made a deal with them and their is a chance that they also turn into a reaper like character. They are an archer with a living shadow and they may end up becoming a kindred like character
I'm glad I started watching your content after I played Life Is Strange.
Weirdly, you don't even know me but seeing your content always feels like a group watch at home.
Aww fellow LiS fan, that's so nice of you to say, thank you
I love the idea that Lamb is the part of death that claims those who accept it with a clean swift arrow to the heart and wolf wants them to run because he hunts down those who refuse to die and therefore delivers a painful and agonizing death. He quite literally rips them apart.
Still my favourite Champion Lorewise and so much can extend from their lore and how they could be a red line through every champion ♥
Light - Dark
Kind - Evil
Gentle - Harsh
and alot more things they represent when listened too
When doing these i definitely recommend also looking into the Legends of Runeterra Card interactions. The stories from the second video were from there. There are videos of them online too
Stop Me Oh Amazing Video Today!!😎🙏❤️
Lamb's voice actress gives me the feels.
Probably one of the best character design of death.
An iconic dou of the lamb and the wolf. The yin and the yang.
Wolf as a vicious and brutal outcome of (their) death. (such as tragedy, accidents or getting killed)
Lamb as the gentle and swift death. (Like a person dying in sleep)
Among my favourite of champion from league lore. Really wish to see more of them, in some capacity
By the way, that first video included voicelines from some skins. Yeah, sometimes they make voicelines for some skins which is neat.
Hey there!, Mordekaiser has interesting interactions.
Mordekaiser is noted.👍 Thanks for the suggestion.😊
Fiddlesticks repeats due to using people's fears against them.
Has anyone noticed how Lamb is wearing the Wolf mask and wolf is wearing the lamb mask?
I just cant watch that one last video without tearing up
Death, represented as the swift and the severe parts.
(imo)
While, they didnt gave me that view directly - After a while I learned that this depiction of Death is the most accurate. As their story stated - You live a better life when accepting it and not "running" away from it.
Yes, I really was hoping you'd react to this one...
Beauty fades. That is why it is beautiful.
4:50 "The Isles will bloom again!"
I suggest reading "The Ruination" novel or learning about that event in the lore (the event in the games didn't go too well… 😅). It's a huge piece of League's lore.
I've seen that you watched some vids about Darkins, but you still didn't saw "As we fall", there is great sountrack, and story about Varus, the Darkin's arrow. You should see this.
I have seen it! It's on the playlist

Wolf represents terror in death. Lamb represents peace in death.
They are two sides of the same coin of death.
8:38 dude that was the cutest giggle ever
Is that New Vegas Ulysses voicing Nasus in runeterra?
Read Olaf's lore he is the only one technically immune to kindred because of pride and technicality.
He's far from immune. He's actually garanteed to meet Kindred because the prophecy states that "he will die in his sleep". His death is garanteed and so is his meeting with Kindred.
you should do Pyke next his lines are good.
Pyke is on our list now.👍 Hopefully not the other way around...😂
The day you react to Evelynn ,will be very interesting one .

In the first cinematic, he quite literally makes a brand new star in the palm of his hand and crushes it just a second later: ua-cam.com/video/CAAnY_L4Pp4/v-deo.html
Second Cinematic: ua-cam.com/video/i_ujOtLDQco/v-deo.html

Quick! Someone call Aatrox stat! Maybe the Kindred can grant his eternal wish for death...
But perhaps... Even though he races towards his finale, he may never meet it...
Hi! Thanks for your reactions. I would also recommend to check out Leblanc in your free time or for the video, to get more full view of Runeterra. She is very important and mysterious character and pretty much every major event in Runeterra is connected to her. Her interactions in Legends of Runterra are awesome and the stories are too. It seems that Lamb is incapable of feelings, and Wolf is incapable of memories. Because the implication is that Lamb and Wolf were once one being, when they decided to split, each of them got different aspects of the original.

Watch whichever one you want
My opinion:
Everytime people keep trying to get reactors to not use "just another nobody." When will people realize that his videos are a way better introduction then a systematic break-down of every line with in-depth subtitles when you're not that deep into the lore yet.
The music, atmosphere, and lines displayed are a excellent summary for a champion without too much filler. Skinspotlight and others are better after you've seen his or once you have knowledge of the roster, some in-game items, towers, champions, etc.
That is exactly what I think, justanothernobody captures the essence iml, no need to analyse every single line for someone not as familiar with it all
Can anyone tell me where to read champion stories, i read some somewhere but can not remember where😅
They're all on the league of legends universe website!
