I love this so much I play it on an endless loop. I’m a true Christian and there’s moments when it reaches my Soul. What fantastic a Heavenly way to become a Pope!
This music should come with an addiction warning; because it will take over your music listening! For once it can’t harm you.❤️🥰😊

Wow this is fantastic music! I didn’t hesitate buying a copy of this CD . Yes I’d spill my coffee hearing the opening. A composer of splendid music that’s never heard; why?
    I love it 🥰

I now have this music completely in my mind and I often hum it to myself doing my daily tasks and routine; especially the lovely cello obligato.

Everyday I listen this wonderful piece of art when I get one of the daily auto-"auch!" and until now, I checked the "like" icon!... The given pleasure restrained me of such mandatory duty!

Music to spill your morning coffee and drive you into serious action...serious competition to Handel and papa Bach..? Was there something in the German water to give us this music... or perhaps a creative mucical virus they all caught?? Simply heavenly... ah the duets.. can't get enough of them.. Thank you for uploading Pau!!

And let's not forget Schuetz and Scheidt on the German side and Purcell on the English side (there are passages here that remind me directly of the joy of 'Come Ye Sons of Art').

I think it so sad considering Erlebach was one of the leading composers of his time, that this music has been so woefully neglected. It's wonderful.

To think he composed over 1000 works only for most of them to be lost in a fire in 1735. Apparently only 70 works survived. My heart wept when I first discovered this loss for humanity.

    Dear friends,
isn't this opus very similar to some parts of Buxtehude's Das jüngste Gericht? Some parts are very much alike, I am afraid. Is it common knowledge for musicologists? I haven't read about the two composers' relations yet. There is nothing about Buxtehude in Erlebach's bios, nor anything about Erlebach in Buxtehude's bios. Is there anyone who could help?

I have to admit I absolutely 'cringed' almost to tears in pulling up a report sometimes ago that much of Erlebach's works were lost in a fire; same with G.Stozel& no doubt others,...jn
