Ah bleach, the Chargers fans choice for a drink to relieve pain. Acid and liquor was a close second.
The Chargers have been cursed by Ami, as one of the most infamous plays in Chargers history in the "Holy Roller" happened on the exact same day as Ami's birthday: September 10th, 1978. They lost that game 21-20 to the Oakland Raiders because of the play.
This doesn't have a happy ending. Though the Chargers rebounded to finish with a decent 9-7 record, they finished 4th in the AFC West and missed the playoffs entirely. The division winner was 10-6. Three teams finished with 9-7 records in the AFC West in '78.
The worst part though? The Chargers last championship was in 1963... for the defunct American Football League. That's the third longest championship drought behind Detroit and Arizona.
Ami has cursed this already cursed franchise. She is ruthless and merciless behind her innocent and caring self.
