Your mother has just the most beautiful and sweet spirit about her. She always has the most beautiful smile.
Yes she does. She always has a positive attitude to everything. Especially when they go shopping together and tells Laura she needs to buy this and that. 😊
Agreed! I've said before that she has the most gentle soul ❤
I totally agree!
Laura, you never cease to amaze me! Don't know where you find the energy and time to do all you do on a daily basis. I look forward to watching you everyday🥰
I learned canning from my sweet mother-in-law. She would work all day in a factory then teach me canning all late summer/fall. She’s since passed away but I never pull out that canner without thinking of how she invested in a new daughter-in-law and taught me a skill that I’m still using forty-three years later! Special memories you’re preserving as well sweet ladies! That one pot dinner looks delish! Thank you for sharing a busy day with us!
For those of us that don’t have our mothers anymore, seeing you with yours brings warm feelings and good memories to mind. My mom would can a soup she liked to make that had a mixture of tomato, zucchini, and onion in the jar. It was delicious. Thanks for sharing your mom/daughter time and for reminding me of good times with my mom.
Exactly ❤
@ritagraham. That was a beautiful comment.
Yes it heartwarming to see them together. It makes me melancholy though. 😢😊
I agree completely. I lose my mom a year ago and so many memories of us cooking together. You don’t realize the value of the moment spent until there gone.❤️
Laura, I'm 76 years old now and still remember the good times we had together canning food for our large family. It seems you have a great loving relationship with your Mom, thank you for sharing your beautiful family time.
You and your mom work so well together. She is a sweetheart. The tomatoes will be so nice to cook with this winter. Your house plants look much better. The pasta looked delicious. Today I felt like we were actually visiting in your home as you were working. Thank you and have a blessed day.
What a nice, inviting video this was! Never had the mom thing growing up yet it really warms my heart to see your relationship with yours. The food looked so good, and I know the accomplished feeling of getting your garden produce canned and on the shelf.
Nothing better than spending time canning with your mother❣️ I miss my mom so much, she passed 9 years ago and we use to can and help each other. I know you appreciate your mom, she’s such a blessing.
❤ 10 yrs for my gram
It’s coming on two years since my moms passing and I feel the same way. Miss her so much. I wish I could do all the mundane things with her still.❤
Good morning! This brought back so many wonderful memories of me & my husband canning tomatoes from our garden. Every year we would can 175 quarts of tomatoes. They lasted till almost the following canning season time for us. He’s been gone for 25 years now. Thanks for the memories. You and your Mom always bring a smile when you are together.
My husband and I also canned our garden tomatoes. Sure went more quickly with 2 of us. Nice memory, he has need gone 10 years.
I’m so jealous of how wholesome this is
Absolutely love when you and your mom get together. Her smile is infectious 😊
Laura, you were truly blessed with your mother.
And she with you.
Oh my 34 jars way to go ladies! Look at those helpful kiddos!
It’s so heartwarming to see you and your Mom together.
Coolest thing about this video? Your mom showing us that you are the way you are because of her. I know, you have made your way and all that but an encouraging mother is everything. 🥰
This video is just so ************ PRETTY ************* Moma is always so POSITIVE in every situation ~ She has a BEAUTIFUL SPIRIT to see the good ~ no matter the moment! Please let her know how Thankful and Grateful we are that she lets her LIGHT SHINE in our lives.....Bibical Principals....the apples do not fall far from the tree.....so Thank YOU Laura...you do the same for us.
Lovely comment
Yes, perfectly said!
Another very productive day at Laura’s. I love the way you and your mom get along together. It was very sweet of her to groom all your plants in the studio. You guys are very fortunate.
My goodness what a marvelous video. So heartwarming to watch you interact (as always) with your lovely mother and the kids. Canning your tomatoes or any garden produce for that matter, is so rewarding. Nothing like reaching for a jar in the middle of the winter doldrums and having a burst of summer in your mouth. Ah! Beautiful job Laura!!
I don't comment often, but just want to say I ADORE YOUR MOM. No wonder y'all are so sweet, joyful, sharp. I find your (and your mom's) enthusiasm, delight, very inspiring. Thank you!
Love seeing you and your mom together.
My mom never canned. However, my best friend and I used to spend weekends at an old neighbor lady's home, who had moved away but was like a 2nd mom to us. She canned, made jams and jellies, butchered chickens, had big gardens.... all the things! We would help her and it was so much fun. That was so many years ago.♡ My job was to blanch and remove the skins. I can still remember how hot those tomatoes would be when they came out of the water. ♡ Your dinner looked so delicious! I love quick and easy dinner recipes. I will give it a go! Have a great holiday weekend.
We need more videos of your mom! She's just so sweet. I've been smiling like a creeper this whole time. 😅😅😅
Smiling like a creeper
That's hilarious
I do that too
My Mom died young, 32 years ago. I never had the opportunity to spend this kind of time with her. You are so fortunate and it’s so sweet to see.
My girlfriend does tomato juice, soup, and sauce! She used to do it with her mom. Treasure the time you spend with your parents!
Laura, You and your Mama are just something SOSO special.
Always cherish it.
I am not close with my mom, and always dreamed I could have anything close to what you and your Mom share.
It truly is beautiful to see
Sweet beautiful momma- special moments to treasure 4- ever. 🫶seeing mom on your channel every time!!!
My husband’s grandmother canned fruit. She was a great cook too. I miss her.
I love watching these videos with you and your mom. It’s a beautiful thing spending time with your mom.
Thanks for sharing. ❤
I haven’t watched your videos in a while this year. We’ve had a lot going on. My husband was diagnosed with lung cancer in January and our youngest daughter got engaged in March and we’ve been planning an October wedding. And then our oldest daughter is having baby number three in November.
Getting to watch these videos gives me peace and calms the nerves.
Thank you. God bless you and your family.
Your mom is a ray of sunshine, and it shines through you to your children, too ❤ such a fantastic video today! I love it ❤ especially since I've been canning on my own for 3 weeks. It is so much better when you can with family ❤
Love when you say, "Mom and I" today will be........Your mom is always so happy and smiling it is infectious. I enjoy when you say. Monic and I too. Have a great weekend.
Your Momma has the kindest, most beautiful smile. I love it. Thanks for sharing her with us.
Fantastic! Laura, you and your mom make canning look easy. A labor of love. All that fresh goodness for use during the winter.
Reminder me of me of my mom an I, we use to can things from her graden. Miss her so much. She in heaven know. God bless your time together Laura. ❤️
Benjamin is growing so fast! He’s such a sweetie. Samantha’s fiery spirit is hysterical! I’ve always been afraid to can but you’ve inspired me! Again!
What a special video with you and your mom! 💕 I’ve always been hesitant to can food because I was never taught how to. After watching this, I feel braver. It also looks like your sweet daughter with her Angel wings has received a haircut. She is sweet and as adorable as ever. These are blessed times you are living in. Enjoy. 💜
Seeing you, your mother, and Samantha in the same space makes me realize how much you all look like each other. Samantha is so sweet in her fairy wings!
Many hands make light work! Just love videos with your Mom, thanks for sharing her with us. Your relationship with her lights up my soul.
Wow, what a productive day! I always found it so satisfying to can produce from the garden. Love the counters chocked full of colorful jars!
The kids are growing up so fast! Especially obvious when catching up with adorable fairy princesses, Samantha Grace!!💚💚💚
You are my role model, Laura! What an enthusiastic way of getting things accomplished! God bless you and your family!
I’ve learned so much about canning from this video. You just never stop amazing!❤❤❤
My favorite things about canning and processing garden goodie’s is the quality time visiting and chatting. Wonderful memories to hold forever. The food all winter is just a bonus! What a wonderful day. 🫙🍅🫙🍅🫙🍅
Your mother is the type of mother I hope I am being for my daughter. Your relationship inspires me. Thank you for sharing. 💖
This brings back some sweet memories of my mother in law and me canning bushels of tomatoes! It was a wonderfully satisfying experience! So glad you and Samantha have this memory with your mom!
Each job seems so much more fun when you have a special someone to share it with you!! 👍👏😊🍅
Three generations of Garden Answer women...what could be more perfect. I thoroughly enjoyed this video.
You and your Mom are correct about the pineapple tomatoes. They are incredible.
I love watching you & your beautiful, sweet Mother!! This takes me back in time, canning with my late Mother in her tiny kitchen with tomatoes and other summer produce, from my grandfathers farmette. Then watching and listening for the “pop” of the lids sealing. Thanks for sharing your days. Love these sweet videos! ❤️
Quick note on the plant at 16:29: That's a Hoya Kerii Variegata. Those kinds of cuttings are usually being sold on Valentine's Day since they look like little hearts. Most of them unfortunately won't grow further since there are no other active nodes on those vines. But sometimes, if you are lucky enough, the cutting you got might have just enough tissue that will produce new leaves with time. I heard most people aren't as lucky, but there is always a chance! 🤗
Mine was a little trio of leaves on a little stem. This summer it exploded with growth and 2 new heart leaves. But I had heard if you buy the heart leaf stuck straight into soil, that's all you'll have
Laura, glad you had your Mom with you today to help with canning tomatoes and grooming all of your plants. You really do so much and you make me laugh because you say you are going to take it easy and then you show the banana bread you made & then it's time for dinner. I have a similar recipe to yours prepared with tortellini & Rao sauce but with home grown tomatoes & seasonings yours must be delicious. Nice to see your little butterfly Samantha & sweet son, Bejamin, who helped with dinner. I am sure you are enjoying evenings by the pond or sitting out on your patio. Take good care, & thanks for your video!
Seeing the black canner on the stove took me back to my childhood, canning with my mother. She passed away last year 😢 Thank you for sharing these precious moments 💜
Oh my! I can almost smell the process of the tomato canning. My mom, gone 13 years now, used to can everything too for a spell. Thank you for stirring up some fond memories.
I love starting off my mornings as a stay at home mom drinking my coffee with you guys! And Aaron sounded like my husband about the red sauce haha. Love you guys ❤
Lovely times spent with your mom with the kids running around... so sweet for you to share those with us. Thanks! And putting the baking sheet under your cutting board- genius! Never thought of that but a great way to keep that mess contained! ~Cassandra
Oh, your video sure brought back good memories of canning with my Mom. An all day job that we didn't appreciate quite so much for the family time together until Mom was gone.
Canning salsa with my mom is priceless! Thank you for sharing your life with us. One way to make your work a lot easier & faster is to use a longer knife. Money spent on a few good knives was a game changer for me. Enjoy! 🍅
It's always nice getting to spend time with you and your mom. I remember standing on a chair watching my mom can when I was little. You have a beautiful family! Thank you so much for filming the process. :)
That was a cool kind of "day in the life" video. Very enjoyable, always like seeing the family together. 😊
Laura + her Mom + Samantha's giggle and song + Benjamin taking care his girls with a meal = 💗 Thanks for taking us thru the preserving process.
I had a smile the whole time I was watching this video. Samantha singing Happy Birthday made me laugh out loud. I see such a resemblance between Susan and Samantha.💞
Hi Laura🌺 . Beautiful video of your mother and you working together and your mother's smile is beautiful. lovet . Great tomato recipe and also the meal . Have anice day .🦋🌺🦋
Good morning, Laura & Susan ☕️How productive! 🍅 🙌🏻 So envious of your time together. Have a Blessed Day 😊🐈
Your mom is beautiful and am very lucky to have a picture of us.
My Mom has been gone about 30 years...I'm 75 .this brings back so many memories of canning with my sweet Mom.
Treasure every moment you have with your sweet Momma.I still miss mine.❤
I have wonderful memories of canning with my mother in law in the fall. It was some thing that my mom-in-law and I enjoyed doing together. She passed away in April and I’m not sure if I’m going to
be able to can without her. I enjoy watching your videos that include your mom! Six years ago when we moved to the mountains, I harvested 32 different varieties of tomato 🍅 plants. We had more jars of tomatoes that year than ever!
I so enjoyed watching you and your Mom canning tomatoes, it brought back so many memories. My dad always planted a large patch of tomatoes when he was alive. I would spend lots of days canning tomatoes each summer. I would use them all winter long, they tasted just like Sunshine In A Jar. Now I only plant 2 plants each summer for us to eat from. I don’t have enough to can but they are so much better than any you buy. Enjoy your tomatoes this winter.
Three generations of love and happiness! Oh and tomatoes! ❤
Canning tomatoes sure brought back memories from harvesting produce in our large family garden. Great eating all winter. Now I only grow a few vegetables in 2 raised beds but still enjoy fresh vegetables for dinners in the summer..
What an abundant harvest! We can’t wait to see the meals you create with these wonderful tomatoes! Thanks again for your inspiration, and all you do!
Your mom is so awesome! The Apple didn’t fall far from the tree, Laura.
Always SO fun to see you working alongside your Mom. Lee Valley has a tomato press that will change your life. It separates the juice from the skin and seeds. Made in Italy 😊
Hey Laura, regarding the variegated Hoya Kerrii, it depends on how it was propagated. Often times they are propagated as a single leaf for gifts around Valentine’s Day and they often times do not get part of the stem and a node. In that case, it will grow roots but will not grow new leaves. If they did get some stem and a node , then it should be able to grow for you. You’ll have to pull it out and see.
That’s interesting thanks for posting
Miss my mom. you are lucky yours is so close and always seems willing. My mom taught me to can but I don't cut my Romas, pack them in tight with basil leaves and a little salt. No citrus needed. Like the old Italian method of canning for centuries. Tnx for the video and the little peek at Samantha. Always loves seeing your kiddos.
I love watching you work together with your Mom. I spent the day yesterday, canning with our daughter in law. ❤
I loved seeing you ladies canning your tomatoes and cooking from veggies your garden. I look forward to more of these videos in the future. Thank you!
Hermoso tiempo con tu mamá. Y qué ricos tomates. Y qué orgullo poder decir... ,Son de mi cosecha,!
Verdad. Super lindo.
That was fun! I always love seeing you and your Mom working and spending time together. Good refresher for canning for me too.
The tomatoes are so beautiful! Perfect time to can them! Love when you are with your mom and precious Samantha, little butterfly. Dinner looks delicious!💕
Thank for sharing your day with us! So wonderful to see you and your mom working side by side. I lost my mom this February and I miss her every day. Thank you for the blessing today!
Good morning Laura and Mom! What a fun day! It sure looked like Aaron was appreciative of that delicious meal. He was smiling so big! Hugs from N.C ..❤
.
Watching you with your mom & daughter, makes my heart smile! Three generations of wonderful women! 🥰❤️🥰❤🥰
I love your relationship with your mom! Reminds me of my moms and I relationship ❤❤❤
yes^ very good!!! i am too.... cooking so tomato... only without salt....only tomato
I never canned with my mom but we did bake tons of bread every Sunday. I loved every moment I spent with her. I'm so happy to we you and your mom enjoying time together with the kids. So sweet! Brings such fond memories back.
Oh, this video brought back so many precious memories with my mom.😊 Having your mom,Benjamin, and Samantha in your video is such a treat to watch. You are always making sweet memories in your videos.❤😊 The tomato juice is so pretty!
Blessings abound and overflow into dry vessels-by his grace❤rejoice for you are chosen
Isn't it fun to do a project like this with a partner! Love watching you and your mom doing most anything, but this made me so jealous. Neither my Mom or MIL are available/cognizant enough to do this with. And although my Mom would sit with me and watch, which is also a boon, she is far away. Anyway, thank you for taking us along. Cherish these memories. And with Samantha and Benjamin, three generations. Lovely!!!
I am with your mother, I love houseplants and grooming them, etc.! Good job with the tomato canning! Your mother is always delightful!😊
Something that we use the most and is super easy to can is tomato juice! You don’t have to cook or take off the skin of the tomatoes. You do need a Victorio strainer or kitchen aide attachment to put the tomatoes through, but really only takes a couple hours. We use it in soups and stovetop dishes! 😊
So great to see you canning with your mom. I miss mine so much. I know you treasure yours. I don't seed my tomatoes and never noticed any bitterness. No need to reheat the tomatoes...yes, they would have been mush. Just use the jars with more liquid in soups. Thank you for sharing this special time with us!
I am canning my third harvest of San Marzano tomatoes today, so it was fun to see this video! So easy to do and so much better tasting than store bought.
Hi I've been trying to catch up on your videos. Your daughter is so gown up. She's beautiful, what a doll. Both your children are. Etc.😊 I enjoy as always. 👍🥰🇨🇦
What a nice change of pace. Would love to see more of this type of videos.. Just like your shopping trips. You do have a life outside the garden... 😉
What a beautiful video with of canning and plant grooming your Mom. You can take us along anytime with whatever you do with your Mom. My Mom has passed away many years ago now and this is so heartwarming to watch.
I’m canning tomatoes too! It’s wonderful to see a mother and daughter working together. You make a great team.
Love these types of videos! Your mom is precious!
Ok, and this is why we like you - you are so relate-able! Everyone has appliance issues from time to time! I remember us having to change out the heating element in the oven the day before Thanksgiving... life happens.
Your mom is so sweet 🎂
You all are awesome! Aaron you are just as amazing to watch as Laura! Thank you guys for always adding joy to my days. Been following you all since the pandemic and I can’t get enough!
Your mom makes me so happy. Just the way she Carrie’s herself just warms me up.
Making a half size lasagna with butternut squash and crushed tomatoes. Slow cooking to just simmer the lasagna noodles...and keep kitchen cool.
Tomatoes are so good as soup with salad and sandwich combo...🍅
Good morning Laura and family and Sue,,
Oh my brought back😢 memories, when my mom would do her canning, it all looks delicious. Thank you Laura and Sue for the great memories. Have a great rest of the day and weekend 👋 🙂 🍅 🍅
Good morning. Love to see that Aaron is a good eater!! Hardworking men need to eat! Looks like a simple yet tasty meal. Always enjoy the visits with your mom. 😊
Love seeing what you do with your produce, and how to do it! Love love loved this video! Love your mama and babies mixed in once in a while.
Wish we could have seen Aaron's reaction to first bite ofthe dinner🤣.
Canning tomatoes is a most satisfying exercise...one gets a genuine satisfaction to see all the jars filled with tomatoes and lined up on the counter! I did this when my mother was alive and when I was "younger!" We usually canned 19-20 quarts late summer.
Hi Laura! That was a great tomato harvest for canning, and will be so nice having them on hand. It's always fun seeing your Mom in your videos, and seeing Benjamin and Samantha Grace enjoying themselves while you both work in the kitchen. The tortellini dish looks delicious! It looked like Aaron was ready for dinner. ;-) It was sweet of your Mom to groom all of those houseplants for you. They look so much better now. Thank you so much for sharing!
