He stated earlier in his testimony that he had an abusive mother and, unfortunately, cycles of abuse continue in relationships, so the judge should have displayed more sympathy IMO. Each court has a limitation with the scope of cases. If within a case there are family, civil, and criminal issues involved the judge will just pick the one solely issue that entails to their jurisdiction. Family court judge - only family issues Now some issues belongs to 1 or 2 so they have to wait and do consults. We don’t know if they have another on going case in another court so they have limitations. Law is not that simple

I'm so disappointed with Judge Milian. This is the second time I've seen her rule without having heard all of the evidence. I know tv shows have a time schedule to maintain, but that doesn't mean she has to make a rush to judgment. I mean, common sense says that nobody in their right mind would sue their accuser for attorney's fees if they had been found guilty, and if he had been, wouldn't he have been in prison about the time this episode was probably recorded? I can see suing for the fees because the attorney proved him not guilty & did so by proving she was making false statements to punish him for leaving her, but not just arbitrarily suing her because he was mad he had to hire a lawyer. Judge Milian has got to stop and listen to all the evidence and advise why she doesn't think it helps the litigants' case. This was so unfair and unjust.

That's not how small claims court work. The judge either finds in your favor or they don't. There's no "entitled to something" judgement.

That girl is straight up crazy jealous and straight up crazy. DeKalb county doesn't play. I have lived in Dekalb and the police there are ruthless. Huge county full of crime.

I would agree with him. Judge M gets too caught up in the edit for dramatic effect and doesn’t always give enough time to properly hear the case and see the evidence. True injustice!

I'm so disappointed with Judge Milian. This is the second time I've seen her rule without having heard all of the evidence. I know tv shows have a time schedule to maintain, but that doesn't mean she has to make a rush to judgment. I mean, common sense says that nobody in their right mind would sue their accuser for attorney's fees if they had been found guilty, and if he had been, wouldn't he have been in prison about the time this episode was probably recorded? I can see suing for the fees because the attorney proved him not guilty & did so by proving she was making false statements to punish him for leaving her, but not just arbitrarily suing her because he was mad he had to hire a lawyer. Judge Milian has got to stop and listen to all the evidence and advise why she doesn't think it helps the litigants' case.

Yoooo I used to be a hardcore Peoples Court fan. I loved judge M but she dropped the ball on this one. This is my last show I’ll watch unfortunately. You could see the pain in this man’s eyes. The defendant filed FALSE reports numerous times and the ones that did go to court got dismissed. I don’t like how she passed the buck and was like “y’all need to go to family court”
