Metallica continues to kick out songs at an incredibly high level. This song is probably my favorite of the singles, and it’s very fun to play on guitar!!
This song is perfect, it's classic Metallica. James voice is simply outstanding. 72 Seasons will be amazing, but I expect nothing less from the greatest band ever.

This one has grown on me hearing it several times now, my favorite so far off the new album, love to see them playing the flying v's again too
It’s hard for me to decide between this and Screaming Suicide. That song just gets me hyped. Lux Æterna left me very underwhelmed the first couple listens but it’s grown on me.

I am very happy with your reaction. Exactly as you said "try to sit still in the chair" you can't. Metallica is a touring band - this number will be amazing live. People whine and will always whine. As Lars said, "If we had listened to the fans, it would never have been Fade to Black." No matter how Metlica played, so many people would criticize her and do you know why? Because this phenomenal team attracts so many different people to you that there will never be an agreement between them. P.S. I already have tickets for the two-day concert. Time under the Metlica stage is worth every penny for me. I just love them and my love has been going on continuously since the 90's. Thanks to their music, I am who I am today.

I honestly felt like they channeled their old selves more in this song than the others they released. It's very "Hardwired" but still with elements of And Justice for All. This is their best release yet, and I'm totally gonna get the album on account of this one.

First thing is, that there is nothing more beautiful in this world that a genuine AileenSenpai smile of excitement, just heartwarming.
Secondly, I like what I hear from this new album so far. I grew up on Metallica and I never had any issues with any time periods of their career. Bands who last long like Metallica are going to mature in their music and music writing, it's a given and natural process. We could like some parts more than others but I the end we as fans are also on this growing journey with them and I think it's ALL good.

Old Metalfan here (69 years) and Metallica fan from the first moment. The latest album is so full of energy. Never get bored ofJames voice, Larse the drummer and the guitar of Kirk. And the bass line is always super.

So far this album to me is better than Death Magnetic and Hardwired, one of their best ever to me. The older they look the more awesome they sound. As far as them getting hate and criticism, they have been since the late 80s for different reasons, but they have always done what they wanted knowing they can't please everyone, so they're used to that but it never stopped them.

I got that funny feeling . We are getting a really great album . The songs we got so far are pretty sick . I know we have the “pure Metallica “ fans who don’t care for this “new” MetallicA well I’ve been a fan since 1986 I was 7 years old so I’m a life long fan and yeah some songs are better then others but that’s music with is much like art . Everyone has there opinion. For me I’m loving these track that they dropped so far lux is my favorite. It’s has that kill ‘em vibe to it . But yeah great reaction and yeah this song want you to stand at the top of a mountain scream “Wrath of Man! “ it’s awesome
I wish I could go to the tour, but like you said.. the prices are kinda insane, plus I got to see them as my first concert, which I'll never forget. This is probably my favorite of the three singles, but I can't wait to hear the whole album! 🖤🤘

I instantly loved this one the first time I watched the video some of the riffs in the song remind me of Metal Militia from Kill em all it's definitely the best one so far but a close second would be Lux Eterna which feels old school also like you I saw Metallica several years ago at Gillette Stadium before the pandemic the band puts on a great show it was my first time seeing them and they are my favorite band since I was a teenager when I heard And Justice For All hopefully I will get to see them again next year unless the ticket prices are too high

Haven't heard much from Metallica that I really care for in a while... This one is really good!
Definitely has some oldschool vibes to it. I wouldn't call it as good as their early records, but taking into account their age and how long they've been around, it's nearly impossible to rival the quality & freshness of the classic records 100%. Plus with this new record I have the feeling, the boys are finally just doing again what they like. Not triying to reinvent themself, not overthinking the music. I respect that.
Would you prefer them to jus re-release an old album or make new music? Comparing the 2 makes absolutely no sense and says a lot about your understanding of music and art as you clearly don't appreciate the evolution of music... and art...

@Mr TV Eye no I comprehended enough to see you're comparing the old music to the new, like they need to live up to that standard and/or make music that's true to their sound or first albums.... too many people live in the first album of any given band than loose their shit when the band evolves and makes simply put new music. I love this tune. Whenever you hear a title track of any album, you get what the artist want you to see. That is the idea and feel and even theme of the album. Hence title track. This is also why, in terms of structure, it becomes more carefully planned out by the artist. One of Metallica's sharpest aces up their sleeves, has always been breaking expectations. I've played guitar for 26 years, so I notice this in a different light. I love the brutal shift to the tremolo G #-section they made, right after the second chorus. My personal favorite part, though, is the F # minor to E 5-melody of the solo, at the end. Makes me tear up every damn time. Great reaction.

I really liked this track, it was good to hear something that didn't sound commercial, just like the black album. Dont get me wrong, I love that album and it broke them into the mainstream.
This sounds like they are trying to get back to the raw heavy rock music that they started with.
