I read your reply to the question about reading hybrid battery.. Can i run an app like Hybrid Assistant and use the Anyscan A30M dongle to read the hybrid battery?

Hi. If you have a Honda (a Japanese car), why in this video did you click on “USA”? Thank you.

Thanks for watching! This is not car manufacturer based; it is what country/region the scan tool is being used in that matters 👍

    Couple of questions..
    1) Why does the box display 12.7 whilst the unit displays 10.7
    2) Do you have to give permission to software to have access and make changes to your phone when it's downloading.
    3) Can I operate it off a laptop. If so what operating system and other hardware are required.
    4) Are there different versions of A30M. If so what is the latest
I have a 2020 Isuzu D-Max, 2020 Nissan Np200 and 2010 Opel Vivaro. Is this scanner compatible with these vehicles

Hey thanks for watching! We are reaching out to XTool on Questions 3 and 4, but can answer questions 1 and 2 now:
1: The 12.7 versus 10.7 volts are the two different battery voltages - while these are for display or promotional numbers just to show on the box or unit, The actual live number you see there is the battery voltage in the vehicle you are scanning to give you confirmation you have enough voltage 👍
2: Shortest answer on the phone software permissions is yes you do; if memory serves correct I gave access to notifications, my location, and I denied access to my contact list and media on the phone 👍
3: As long as they download the app to a laptop there should be no problem.
      4: The A30M is the latest/only version.
5: The unit should work on the Opal. It does not do HD diesel. and the Nissan is a brand new vehicle that is not yet updated in the system but should be soon.

Ah right, so you can use this app on your phone WITHOUT having Xtool poking their nose into your private business?
Another channel said that you have to give them full permissions (not happening with me!) and that was a deal-breaker for me. Otherwise I want this A30M.
Thanks for letting me know 🙂👍

Whats the difference between this and the d7

    • @FreshVintageGarage
      @FreshVintageGarage  7 місяців тому

One of the main differences is that the D7 is a standalone unit.

Can you check your hybrid battery system with this?

Unfortunately you cannot - you would need to buy an EV focused scan tool like the xTool N9EV Scan Tool for this. Thanks for watching and Subscribing we do appreciate it 😊

@@hakimalfaqih9751 I have the Xtool AD20 Pro and it's fairly amazing. It can find codes that my expensive Innova scanner can't see. As far as the tests, those usually work best on newer vehicles. Older vehicles are generally not supported.

If this tool could erase the p1745 and p0868 tcm codes by performing the line pressure variable force sensor and tooth count reset and get my 2014 dodge grand Caravan sxt 3.6l out of limp mode id buy it only one scantool can do it and is impossible to get to do it is the vident ilink400 single make scantool with the Chrysler software download.
