This morning we went to the Mitsubishi dealer but to our surprise they only had two cars on the show room floor. No need to film that...lol..Anyways Lot and I went to the new S.M. Mall they just built in San Fernando.

The new mall is close to where i have my vacation house. Nice to see it finished.

Thanks for sharing! The SM mall I used to go when I come to visit is the one in Mexico, Pampanga. Now there’s another one in San Fernando more place for people to stay cool!

They keep opening new stores, but I like the store over at Clark better.
I always wondered why no mercury pharmacy in the sm malls now I know. the Cinnabon shop looks yummy I have a bakery shop down the road from me and they make a great cinnamon roll goes well with my dark Sumatra roast coffee great video love the malls especially when it's hot out.

I am a American married to a pholipina from lagespi city, we live in Santa Monica San Simon pampanga. Was that the new mall on McArthur hwy going towards angles city? Love to meet you both sometime. We will be staying here in the Philippines for Life, love it here, I have been here over 13 years now. At present we are remodeling the house, and added off grid solar to the house. ( No more brownouts and no more high electric bills.)

My wife and I used to get electric service here in Nueva Ecija from NECO(N.E Electric Cooperative)and they would'nt even give credit for holidays,if last day of payment fell in a holiday,you better be there to pay b4 because when neco opened after said holiday they will charge a penalty,Now we get service from CELCOR(Cabanatuan electric coo)and they have such a great service that it feels like you are in another country,a big and clean payment center,bathrooms,tv and a/c with bottled cold water and coffee😨.

Nice job Philly. Really interesting that so many malls are closing here in the U.S. but in P.I. and other Asian countries business is booming. Also, when the electricity goes off (brown out) in P. I. people flood to SM for the air conditioning. Last went to SM in Carmen in Pangasinan in May. Keep up the great work. Also caught your vlog from the Toyota dealerships. Excellent information.
Orlando Caballero. In the US, Thanks to Amazon, e-bay, Wal-Mart and E-commerce. We even shop our groceries online. Malls are a thing of the past. We have an efficient delivery system. USA is transitioning to an AI community. Like it or not . US practically lives in a cyber world...It's rare for us to have a brown out. Since our power companies are reliable and affordable. We are a self sufficient energy country. We don't really rely on other countries for fuel.
The first shop he built was... ShoeMart, and was located at Recto st. Inside Divisoria Area...
Then, after his eldest son married, he closed the shop and went opening his First mall... Which is still open...
Its located in Carriedo Area near LRT-1 Carriedo station...
And it is also the Smallest SM mall...
The Biggest SM he has is at SMCebu...

I must say, the Malls in the Philippines are pretty amazing. Not what I had expected to see in a Developing Country. I visited Cebu City, Cebu back in 2004. Checked out AYALA CENTER MALL, SM MALL, GISANO COUNTRY MALL. They were HUGE ! I was Happy to see SHAKEYS PIZZA, KENNY ROGERS ROASTERS there, they are Gone in America.

Brian, Lot Lot loved those skin care products, she was like a kid in a candy store.
here in the phillippines if you don't pay your bill on the due date they will disconnect your service depending on your location then it will cost you a fee to hook back up.
We have 48 hrs to pay the electric bill after the due date. After that they will shut it off and then you will pay to have it reconnected.

Brian, I forgot to add to my suggestion list of car brands, but I suggest you also check out Suzuki. It's a sturdy Japanese brand and the prices of their new sedans just might be perfect for your budget.

.......trivia: Henry Sy lived here in our town and i know the Mercury Drug store he was talking about......it's in front of our parish church along Rizal Avenue.....also the reason why even our small town here in Manila has an SM Mall (SM San Lazaro)........his relatives are hardware store owners(their store still open)....... :)

Yes.......a quick service is exciting in the Philippines...lol. I'm 62 now and can use senior line. But I'm still shy to use it, because I don't look old and don't have a walking cane yet. But I have arthritis in my hip, so maybe soon.

Cinnabon is my favorite as well. When I was as SM Clark last year I paid only $1.34 for a large one............... not in the U.S. of A. though!

Sms, malls and more malls everywhere. I wonder what would happen to these structures once Filipinos learn that they could shop for just about anything through EBay, Amazon,etc for much cheaper. In the States malls, Sears, Macy's, are closing one by one.
A lot of those people walking do not buy. They go there to get out of the heat.
Packo_ Hubu makes sense. People would go to the malls to get away from the obscene heat. I guess the stores are making enough money to pay the rent and their employees.
For now...Amazon and Ebay postage is quite high with limited products in Philippines.

OWM As far as I know, the only way to block a SPAMMER is by reporting him for something like harassment. Then the SPAMMER's name disappears from your view.
Blue That only works on a comment by comment basis. So I just block each of his comments and label it as harassment.

Hi Brian, Your water and electricity suppliers seem to be a bit harsh. We are at Fiesta Community Tabun, near the South Tarlac Province boarder. Our water is through the Village Water Supply They read the meter on the 10th of the month and give us 9 calendar days to pay on occasions we have paid the bill 7 days late and have only been charged a late fee of 10%. The electricity bill is though Pelco_II and is issued on the 29th of the month and we are given 9 to 10 calendar days to pay on occasions the bill has been paid a week late and we have been charged a 10% and the service has never been cut off. The Internet is though Converge and they cut it of if you do not pay for 3 months. To avid a cue for the internet I pay it at My Bills on the corner of Camachiles Road and the Mac Arthur Highway opposite the SM Hypermart. My Bills used to be near the Mabalacat Bus Terminal.

😂 i love the story telling part but you know its is a very true story on how two multi national company started in the Philippines.
It's like they have cloned SM and can set a new one down anywhere. Your comment about BPI is not quite correct however where ever you see ATM machines side by side, there is always a queue at BPI but not at BDO , PNB, Metro Bank etc.
I hope they dont watch your vlogs. They may not sell you a car. Actually that may be a good thing. Lol keep the vids coming.

SM also owns Watson Drug. It is a drug store from Hong Kong that SM bought the rights to sell Watson Drug in all SM malls.

In panama they cut your elec after 2 months. Internet and cable 1 month. You can pay online thru your bank. No Lines. Jajaja.
