If the Game Grumps broke up over a disagreement over the fucking Ninja Turtles, i'd fucking believe it and respect it.
Why do you think JonTron left...
The only argument that would break these two up is if arin started an online hate-campaign against stegosauruses.
I'd be done with the internet.
Still better than most band breakups too
@@WilliamAndrews0 you mean Dan doesn't know yet that arin is secretly the leader of Christians against dinosaurs on facebook

@@astolfofansunny4047 They were arguing over which turtle was the leader in the TMNT 80's movies. Arin is arguing that Leonardo was the leader. Dan is arguing that Raphael was. However, they agree that Leonardo was the leader in the cartoon and should be. Dan's evidence is the song (which, despite being the official theme song, is incorrect) while Arin's is that Leonardo was in the cartoon. They're arguing over whether or not something they both disagree with is factual, using either credible yet incorrect evidence or opinion as evidence. Love how heavily aware they are about how dumb their (Arin’s) argument is
One of the biggest arguments between these two is one where they completely agree.
I feel like most Game Grumps "arguments" are just Dan stating a point and then Arin loudly and angrily arguing the exact same point back at him.

I have a sudden urge to take the 2020 presidential debates, mute their squawking, and layer over Arin & Dan arguing who the true leader of the Turtles was 😁
No-one knows who ACTUALLY leads the turtles. They're both wrong and the answer is really obvious!
It's Courage, the cowardly dog.
"Raphael is the leader" ...do they mean *protagonist* ?
no, they mean the leader of the group
I think that Dan means protagonist and Arin means leader
Dan and Arin are both correct!
Leonardo IS the leader, BUT in the recent Nickelodeon reboot, Raphael is the leader. That's the only time Raphael was the leader!
The nickelodeon reboot is also crap so it shouldn't count.
What? Why? I thought the entire implication behind it (watched the 00s version) was that strength of will and thought was stronger than physical might. So even though Raphael was a hot head who sounded more intimidating, Leo was the leader thanks to being a better thinker. Rapheal may be more intimidating and fierce, Leo was more respectable and dependable. Why the hell would they go back on that and make the hot head the leader?
I have no idea
@@bennitori4 because in the new version, raph isn’t a hothead. He’s still incredibly impulsive and rough, but they recontextualized each character’s roles in a way that gave it a really cool dynamic! Raph is now the oldest of the group, then leo, then donnie then mikey. It’s really interesting to see how the writing team developed these characters keeping the cores of the characters but not making them copy-pastes of all the past tmnts. Even tho Leo’s not the de facto leader in ROTTMNT, he still shows a lot of leader qualities among his brothers, and it’s shown over and over again how perceptive, decisive, and strategic he is. A LOT of people don’t give this show a chance because of the change, and I get it, change can be a jarring, but unlike a lot of other reboots to classic shows- ROTTMNT has so much hard work a pure heart and skill put into it. It’s truly a wonderful show even if you’re not looking for plot, it’s still something nice to watch because the animation is INCREDIBLE.
Sadly though, besides the movie coming out this summer it seems to be “on pause”. The recent Nickelodeon merger with Viacom completely wrecked the production, and they even cut half the episodes off of season two and made the crew make 4 finale episodes in less than 6 months (writing 1 episode along could take up to 11 weeks, btw) and they still turned out fantastic.
I’ve been a long time TMNT fan as well, and honestly? This is definitely my favorite. Give it a chance if you can- the first five episodes are free on UA-cam, past that though there’s Amazon you can buy it off of. But if you don’t have the money then PunchChowder.com is where I watch em
The argument should've ended at 1:10 1:17, because that was literally everything Dan was talking about: That specific song points Raphael as the leader incorrectly.
I cant even understand why the person who wrote "Turtle Power" would fuck up something so badly. Leonardo was obviously the leader in the movie. Hell Raphael even pointed it out in the scene where they were arguing.
I actually listened to it recently. I'm wondering it was a miscommunication. Like it was continuing off with talking about leo but it was misunderstood as talking about Rafael.
I haven’t heard an argument this strong since we were discussing our favorite pizza in the TF to voice chat
"Timmy what was your favourite episode of game grumps"

They should upload the other clip of them having the exact same argument later, but use the exact same title and thumbnail.
Well this is it. The argument that ends game grumps. Good game everyone. Good game.

This is they type of silly argument to get into with a drunk friend to mess with them. Just keep saying that Raphael is the leader of TMNT.
One thing I've noticed about the promotional material from the movie overseas (as well as some bootleg merch), is that Rafael is the one that's been portrayed the most. Since he's the main one they use, it makes sense that he'd mistakenly be the "leader of the group"
Can't wait for the sequel video!
GameGrumps + Ninja Turtles makes me also think of "All of the Teenage Mutant [Ninja] Turtles are blue... except for three of them... and there are four. I'm blue."
"My favourite Bloodbourne moment is where Arin and Dan argue about TMNT for a loooooong time"
There's one clip I'd really like, not because it's funnny but because it is pure wisdom. But you're offering ourself as an option as the nice person you are"
Best damned advice I ever got applying for jobs. It took off so much pressure and made me braver. I didn't avoid stuff anymore because people might see me as pushy, no, I was just being nice making them pay attention to me as a choice

i knew somehow without clicking that this was the disagreement
Watching this in a time where there is a cartoon that has Raph as the leader is amusing.
"Oh so ...thats the plan...from our great leader huh? Just sit here on our butts!" - Raphael
I love that they had this argument almost word for word TWICE.
A debate so intense, it's brought up a second time.
If I remember correctly Raphael was the leader in one of the black and white comic books back when he used to use tonfas AKA nightsticks that might be where they got the mistake from and apparently they used that in Rise of the Ninja Turtles where he's also the leader
What's funny is in the Most recent Nickelodeon Cartoon series, Raphael actually IS the leader and Leonardo took on the leader role ONCE the entire series
Dan's "hE's NoT tHe LeAdEr!" Killed me 🤣🤣
I remember being irritated by the lyrics too, but only 13 years later when I got the soundtrack in a thrift store.
"I'm gonna politely meditate about how hard I'm gonna party when I finish building the Turtle Van" -Raphael
The song was a profecy for the newest show on Nick.
Rottmmt? That show has great voice acting and animation
It happened at least twice since even Megan Fox was saying Raphael was the leader in some interviews.
Which considering how the turtles in the original comics were, it kind of makes sense for him to probably be considered the leader since he still retains some of the original incarnations stuff; like wearing the red bandana they used to all wear and how they were all prone to immediate violence & anger.
We need a compilation of every time Arin and Dan fight about this specific topic
Can we get the one where Dan continuously dies in Shovel Knight while Arin is trying to progress to the point where Arin just loses it and says "NO!!!!!.... WE'RE GOING TO THE LEEEEEFT!!!!!."? I think it's in part 18 "Something Funny" but the point Arin loses it I think is further down the line of Danny blowing lives lol.
Well I hate being that guy but in the original black and white comics,Raphael was the leader of the teenage mutant ninja turtles.... sooooo???
But didn’t they also look exactly the same? Like same bodies and all red masks?
@@cobaltprime9467 yeah, it’s actually more accurate to real shinobi. There’s a really good video by gaijin goombah about it if you are interested. The general jist of the same mask thing is that it confuses the opponent of with one is the real on and it can give the affect of moving extremely fast (like the Pokémon move double team) weird trivia over
@@cobaltprime9467 they also had tails, completely unrelated but it fucks with me
Ehhhh, not really. Leo isn't exactly the leader, but he is usually the one to take charge, and I can only recall one time he was ever actually stated to be the leader, but it was still a statement. He's more or less just the main character of the comics, and the most serious, which most likely lead to him being seen as the leader. So he kinda is, but it's difficult to say if he really takes up that role.
HOWEVER, Raphael, I don't recall them ever calling the leader, and he's usually the one to throw others out of the way. He is definitely the loner of the group, which does not gel well with the leader archetype to ever actually be called the leader.
@@fellowspacemarine really?? I have a turtle so I guess it’s not that weird for me to imagine the ninja turtles with tails
