    There I was in a ritzy nightclub in Beijing. Knowing better, I traveled with two CS darts taped to my ankles. Having been drugged by two escorts, I began to be harassed by two members of the local Chinese Triad. After refusing to pay my
    exorbitant bill, I found myself in a deadly street fight in the alley. I swiftly pulled my two darts, landing blow after blow. Luckily, I had my grappling hook and climbed out of the alley unscaved. Thank you Cold Steel for another awesome product!

      hey bro I was the shorter Triad thug!! I tried to shoot at you with a rusty tokarev but you threw one of the delta darts down the barrel and the pistol exploded in my hand! I had to get 2 fingers sewn back on ya jerk...

    *_When the Cardboard-Uprising occurred in 2070, Humanity had no chance. A war followed which exterminated over 80% of Earth's population - and the Cardboard began to infiltrate every last Human bastion that existed. At last the war between Man and his greatest foe, Cardboard, had come to a head - then came the Grivory™-Warriors - men whose skill with a plastic blade was matched only by the size of their gut. It was then that the tide of the war against the Cardboard had finally shifted. And thus ended the Dark Times - and Humanity stepped into the age of a new Dawn... a Grivory™-Dawn._*

      The plastic blade alone won't do it, even against appliance cardboard. You need to be a massive meat head too, that way you have the half a ton of force behind you to take out that cardboard...

    I've owned 2 of these knives: sai pan and tanto and was shocked at how great they are for only $15 knives. I've read the other comments and let me try to help. They are ment for 2 purposes: 1.. No metal detectors can read them (for that reason, carrying one is illegal in some cities) and #2 they are very very light and great for personal protection at home. When it comes to needed a knife that you hope you'll never need to use: this couldn't be better .. Lighter knife means less fatigue for your arm in a fight; its strong enough to last when you need it most and it's super sharp. This wouldn't be used as a utility, hunting, or camping knife but would be great under your pillow or in your glove box. Only flaw .. Blade is exposed as nothing is sold to cover it.. Probably why it's only $15.

    Dear ***** i have been a fan-addict (fanatic) since late 2013. Your amazing proof videos are what first attracted me to your company and shortly after i purchased my first product (5.5 vaquero plain edge) And $800+ later i still cant get enough and doubt i ever will, i have completely abandoned all other companies since and have been solely carrying CS, my only regret is not discovering mr thompsons company earlier, im very excited about 2015s line up but it would be amazing if you guys would produce the delta and jungle darts and the battle ring in a steel version even if it was only 4116 krupp i have no doubt in my mind they would sell, if you could simply mention this to mr thompson i would be eternally grateful (because the knife would probably last for an eternity haha)
    Thank you mr camera man and to every employee at every cold steel factory.
    Best wishes from another satisfied consumer

    Hi, I have a question:
    I am a security guard.
    I want a very small knife (maybe 4 inches overall length) that is undetectable by metal detectors (even concealed somehow if possible). Preferably with some case I can pull it out from fast or having a clip.
    1) What do you suggest?
    2) Are the cases of undetectable knives also undetectable (logically yes I say, otherwise what the point right?) or is it possible that a manufacturer overlooks this (sounds stupid, but you never know)?
    Thank you for your time.

    • @fatkido1369
      @fatkido1369 6 років тому

      outofthebox7 these are 100% undetectable no metal parts other than a removable “key ring” you can take off. I carry the delta dart when I go
      To concerts or other places that prohibit knives. They don’t come with sheaths but you can order a sheath separately
      For just a few bucks. They are outstanding especially for the price

    not only that but I notice after rewatching the video that pretty much stab and slice if from a position of power-meaning its the best base senario for you-stabbing straight down when most likely you will be facing a standing and moving opponent (unless you knock them out first then stab them...which is murder.) so you are looking at forward jabs and side to side swipes. But they are last ditch effort knives, so if you get disarmed the first time maybe you will have better luck the 2nd time.

    @mojothemigo like i said you don't know me or my accomplishments. survival has been my life since before i could ride a bike, i agree that there is a difference between an experienced outdoors-man and a survival expert, whether its Alaska, Utah, California, Texas, Florida, etc. urban or wilderness, i am completely self reliant, i have proven myself in almost every primitive fire making method i've heard of and many other skills, i will be getting wilderness medicine certified soon enough.

    @PandaMagicFTW i dont remember the system's name, but in alot of airports they use in nowaday they arent metal detectors. they like, take a type of photo that can see every item, down to each pube lol. the security then goes all over your virtual body pic and through your bags without actually going through anything. i've seen people try this actually. well, one person anyways. didnt work, not saying it couldnt work. just not for that guy i suppose

  • @PandaMagicFTW
    @PandaMagicFTW 13 років тому

    @kingmigget They obviously can't market it for that. But, that's one of the main reasons why people buy plastic knives. It's because metal detectors can't detect them. Why not just buy metal ones then? They stab better and cut WAY better. Of if you wanted it to be lightweight then why not high grade aluminum? So it can actually cut. These plastic ones can be taken through security.

  • @kingmigget
    @kingmigget 13 років тому

    there's a reason most states ban these btw, mostly because they bypass metal detectors. (including airports) and the description even says they can be tucked or taped anywhere. who needs to tape a weapon exept someone who is hiding it? the ONLY real reason i can think of for having one of these, is loop-holes in the current law system, hence only criminals or those with criminal intents will have these.

  • @comingviking
    @comingviking 13 років тому

    Goes without saying that a blade made from resin can not be honed to the same kind of cutting edge as high quality steel. The demonstrations only serve to show that they will tolerate that they are useful for some cutting and stabbing action even so. The big thing about this kind of knife, is that it does not show up on scans as metal. Basically a pretty rotten idea, securitywise.

  • @fireball676
    @fireball676 13 років тому

    i do not purchase cold steel knives anymore due to 2 reasons #1 i received a broken tipped tanto spike directly from the front counter of a store, which means it was shipped from the company as such, #2 they have a shitty warranty, #3 the spike i ended up with had the physical edge completely break off and also #4 cold steel prices are shitty for the steel quality you get...way to advertise to people that know nothing about cutlery steel. ill stick with SOG and Ka Bar

  • @cheyamil
    @cheyamil 14 років тому

    if they are all none metal they cant be detected in an airport, and they are available to the public so its easy to hijack a plane and crash it to your favorite location. i mean that is one scary thought, maybe i am just worrying like some people when the glock came out, but still this makes it possible for me to go to the airport go through security and into the plain and once there well you know the rest.

    the one things that worried and interested me.
    the last tai pan demo where he does a hammer fist into ply wood, you see the pointed pommel as he focuses his strike, when they show the bottom it has been flattened, im wondering if the grivory would deform under extreme pressure such as that. i would be carying one of these as a non leathal weapon source, and dont want to risk that happening to mine...

  • @TheShotgunman0067

    I may reconsider. But i have read a lot of negative reviews on places like amazon and other sites. I bought a steel Gerber instead which is fairly light but I haven't been carrying it. But a few weeks ago a dog nearly attacked me (so much for leash laws-and I won't feel bad about leaving fluffy dead in the road with my hands or a knife if it lunges at me).

    You guys need to understand that these weapons are basically made of plastic (pretty amazing), so they are lightweight and can also pass through metal detectors. You can't expect even the strongest mixture of plastic and fiberglass to be more durable than metal. So, for future reference, research about something before you you make rash conclusions.

  • @fireball676

  • @Scratchpk
    @Scratchpk 11 років тому

    A tool is something for a specific purpose. A weapon is merely a tool used to kill, injure or maim. The purpose of these is self defense, thus actually, they are undeniably weapons. As such they shouldn't ever be used for anything other than making videos like this and actual self defense! ;)

  • @mojothemigo

    Some of these would make badass looking letter / package openers, But if your looking for something to defend yourself with, spend the extra few bucks and buy something made of steel.

    @comingviking If i remember correctly they are made with a small metal cylinder in the handle area to keep them from being illegal and brought into airports and courthouses and the like.

    It's lighter than metal, will never rust, might pass through a metal detector,
    -But it will never achieve the sharpness of any metal knife, and isn't *as* strong as metal

    That the knives can pierce is cool and all, but besides for letter opening, realistically what can you expect to be able to do slashing wise with, say, the Tai Pan?

    lol if you really think about it we are watching grown men stab cardboard with plastic knives to rock music. haha but they are nice quality and they are cool. :) 5 stars

    Whyd he nail a knife into a piece of wood with a hammer? When would i ever desire to do such? As well as stab card board..... i broke tile before sevral times by accident. Its easy to do. So the guy useing the butt of the knife as blunt impact to break a few brittle pieces of tile doesnt impress me. Screw that...... and bending the knife to prove it wont break? Nice. But now you have a freakin bent knife! Why would you spend all that money on one of theres and do that. Bad marketing video.

    I'm getting the Skean Dhu for self defense :D I always wanted a Skean Dhu, since i am very interrested in the history of the knife. But the ones you can buy with all the decorations on, is really low quality :(. But then i saw this :D Can you please post a video with the Brave Heart, or the Nightshade Skean Dhu in a video for it self? Would really like to see more of what this knife can do :D

    Are the blade and handle made of the same material, is it all one solid peice? and how well does the blade keep an edge? I'm assuming the tanto comes very sharp from what I've seen, I'm simply curious to how long it stays that way. I have no experiance with plastic or ceramic blades but I like the looks of this series and I own several cold steel knifes so I like em. I want the tanto, anyone know of any good sheaths for it? I'd hate to carry it around in my pocket.

    I'm definitely getting the karambit just for that purpose. The only problem is opening the box to get to the box opener... Nah, but I'm still gonna buy it.

  • @docnightfall

    LOL at all the effort that went into opening a box. Any decent steel knife would have done the job in a third of the time. Those are purely weapons, not tools.

  • @wyldediver

    And what is REALLY great about carrying all of these, if you actually had to use it for defense, you get to explain to the world that these "things" don't fit the part of a "weapon with intent". The lawyers will have a field day with you. I'll stick to a plain looking knife instead of some crazy mall ninja looking thingie...

    Well, these little guys have been around before 9/11 and all they took with them were box cutters, so I'm not worried about that.
    Cold steel has purposely said they are defensive knives that can be bought cheap and stored in humid climates for potential SD situations. Frankly, I kind of like the idea of knife that doesn't cost much being hidden away for a rainy day.

    Just saying, you should never carry any sharp/fixed objects in your pocket without a sheath. You can probably custom make one for this particular knife
