@YellowProductions Calgary resident here, have been a follower for years and love your content! I found some easy to fix inaccuracies which you can fix with sticky notes: - At 1:46 NorthEast & NorthWest are tagged incorrectly on the map. - At 7:49 Banff is located west of Calgary, not east. The hotels between Calgary & Banff are on the West side of the town. I think you may have gotten confused when creating this video because we do also have tons of hotels on the east side of Calgary (opposite direction to Banff) because North East area of Calgary is the older part of Calgary where many people used to live in 1980s. As time passed more and more people moved to North West and South West. - Not a mistake but a comment: At 11:45 The towers near the Calgary Observation Tower have better views of Calgary. "Major Tom", one of Calgary's best restaurants, is on the top floor of one of those towers and offers excellent food, drinks, service and 360 degree views! :) - Small/Insignificant correction: At 11:50 , The Core USED to be Calgary's biggest mall in 2000s but it has been surpassed since 2009 by Cross Iron Mall; a MUCH bigger, newer & better mall, which is inspired by Mall of America & Edmonton Mall (2 biggest malls in the world). That being said, Cross Iron Mall is not close to downtown & is only accessible by car.
My husband and I are subscribers and love your videos. We discovered you because of your Vegas videos. We live in Calgary and were thrilled to see that you visited our city! Thanks for all you do! Oh, we visited San Diego and your tips were extremely helpful! 🌞🤠
Just a couple more things … it’s west (not east) on the way to Banff. China Town is Centre Street not Ave. And the bridges that connect all the downtown buildings are actually called the +15 Network, locals call them the Plus 15. They are called that because generally, they are 15 feet off the ground and they’re super handy, especially in bad weather as you can go from building to building downtown without ever going outside. Roads called Trails are basically our freeways.
Born and raised Calgarian here. I'm glad you enjoyed our city and it's surrounding areas. I hope you come back and get to experience the Calgary Stampede.
Wow. What an informative video. Calgary looks like a beautiful city and cool as well. If there is a Calgary tourist board, they should be proud of your video.
Hi Chris. Great info on Calgary. Very beautiful place to visit, especially with the Rookies surrounding the city. The Calgary Stampede would be a an amazing event to experience.I think it's worth it to spend about 2 days to explore the city. Thanks for sharing and take care.
Calgary is such a cool city! I went last year to the Calgary Stampede with a close friend who lives there, and it was a lot of fun! It was basically one big party! I need to go back to explore more of the city as there is a lot I have yet to see.
Neat! We'll have to go back when it's Stampede season.. but since we were on our way to Banff the hotels there were much too expensive in July. So we opted for the inexpensive May season 😀
I was in Calgary many years ago for a couple of days on the way to Banff & Lake Louise. It looks like a great city to visit, except in the winter. Great guide of the city.
Wow nice photography! I've lived my whole life in Calgary and most of what you showed is brand new. Except the Calgary Tower. Hotel you stayed in brand new. Library brand new. Peace bridge almost brand new. That cost us $25 million so I hope you enjoyed it!
Calgary has been my home for more than 20 years now and I love it! It's perpetually growing and changing, and continues to attract new people, making for a continually growing population. It has doubled in size in the time that I've lived here. I hope you don't mind that I offer a quick correction to your overview of the four quadrants that the city is divided into since this is such a key element to how people find their way around - the NW and NE quadrants are the reverse of what you've noted. Ie. NW is top left, above the SW and NE is top right, above the SE.
Spent three days there during my June,1991 Honeymoon (started there, spent three days in Edmonton, and then returned and departed from there on the Rocky Mouniaineer train to Vancouver)…Very pleasant city even back then😊
You should have taken the princess to Drumheller, a historic Dinosaur town 90 minutes NE of Calgary. As for winter, in reality it's only bone chilling cold for a few weeks, the rest of the time it's really not that bad.
I think you're sleeping on heritage park a bit. Gasoline alley if you're into cars is at minimum a 2 hour thing, and the rest of the place will take you at least 5 hours. Also the concessions are affordable. You can walk through the houses, there's a working farm, a vintage amusement park, a working steam train, a paddleboat, the place is fantastic.
@@YellowProductions Yeah I don't understand that in the least. They close at 5PM. In the summer the sun doesn't even set until 10pm. They have an extremely short season. I'm not saying stay open until 10pm but 7pm is viable.

Thanks for those corrections.. yes. I clearly need to take my compass training again. I pinned your comment to the top to serve as the "sticky note" 😊

We enjoyed it Christoph!

My older daughter was born there! She will love this video, thank you!
Hope she does!
Thanks for the great info + video!
Glad it was helpful!
Calgary born and raised. So glad you enjoyed our city 🇨🇦
Sweet!
Perfect timing! The Stampede just started today.
Amazing how that works 😀
I would love it if you did a livestream on a guide to the Marriott hotel brands; just like what you did with Hilton!

@@YellowProductions That makes sense. I was lucky that I was able to stay at my friend's house for it.

Thanks Chris. My son lives outside Calgary. I hope to visit soon.

Really nicely timed with the stampede starting today, great video! You might want to swap northeast and northwest on your map. 🤠
Doh!
Chris is enthusiastic in the videos.
Yellow productions #1!!!!!
Agreed - Best Residence Inn in North America
Glad you agree!
Lived here all my life but here we are watching tips for the city 😂😂
Awesome job chris drop a like for you
I would like to visit Canada sometime

Thanks for the dino tip for next time. I'm from San Diego. So I'm a wimp when it comes to cold weather 😀
We were there when they build this red bridge.
The day she was born it was -38 degrees Celsius 🥶🥶🥶
Brrrr.. too cold for me Gilberto!
It's a pain finding a parking spot in downtown Calgary since some roads are one way and you have to drive around all over if you missed your exit.
Thanks for the video but, your quadrants are off. NW should be NE
My bad
Best wife cake ever is at Rainbow Bakery in Chinatown!
You should come to Edmonton next time. Home of North America's largest mall (WEst edmonton mall).
I'll add it to the list 😉
Does Calgary public library allow tourist enter free without ticket? I just need to look around inside the library without borrowing books
Yup. Anybody can enter the library there's no ID check upon entry
💛🇨🇦✌🏾

I probably am sleeping on Heritage Park a bit. We got there at like 3:15 and couldn't get in cause it was too late 😀

Fun fact…Calgary served as Metropolis in 1983’s SUPERMAN 3
Neat!
The USA is Canada's Mexico 😎
