Listening is the first step in learning from people, it requires a lot of practice, and failure to listen leads to a lack of common vision. It teaches a lot.
    thanks

What I learn here in Canada is that they keep following the cycle and they are not observing enough that's why the economy fall down. Expanding every leader's awareness is important.
"If you keep doing the same without observing you will get the same result but if you try a different strategy there is a possibility you will get a better results."

This was great right up to the point where Simon mentioned White Privilege. Coming from a poor white background, let me tell you that it does not exist. It is just an excuse for people who are not white to explain their lack of success. I have had to work extremely hard to accomplish the little that I have accomplished. I know blacks and Hispanics who will tell you the same thing. You either work hard to get ahead, or you blame your lack of success on someone else. I have two sons who are considered to be of mixed race. When they use their Germanic surname, they have no particular advantage. However, if they self identify as Hispanic, then all sorts of opportunities are available to them. Where's the white privilege? My experience is that people who are trying to get ahead don't see others doing the same as black, white or anything else, just people willing to work hard to get ahead. It is people who are not working hard that see others as members of one race or another. Here's the dirty little secret - most of us who work hard get buy but never really get ahead.

That's a whole lot of words to say that you do not understand the concept of white privilege.

You were good until you got to privilege. Priviledge is a rich person problem, not a white person problem. Leave your bubble, get out of the airports and on the highways. You look ridiculous there. Read your Bible, go to Proverbs. Equal justice for the rich and poor. That is the less glamorous, but more true statement. That we allow God's word to he twisted to make the problem about race is a bad move on our part. We know better. Again, hop in the car and go see that there are plenty of communities falling apart, for the same reason black families fell apart in the 1960s (read Thomas Sowell, Walter E. Williams, and Reily), made up of poor white people left behind. It's rich and poor, like God said. Quit being colloquial to your bubble and make sure you're being honest.
The children's book as a leadership book is great advice. I actually find the best marriage books are business leadership books, John's are some of my favs. Fifteen years in and we are working like a clock.
