Hello. I am very interested in doing this for 2 bikes. Can you kindly provide us with a complete list of items you used to fully construct this snazzy bike rack? Thanks so much!!!!
This is the absolute smartest way to store bikes. Nothing comes close. You just have to figure a way of anchoring that rope a little faster. I'm sure it wouldn't be hard. Some sort of lever/clamp thing. Its so great to see people not follow the herd and start fresh and do it much better.
young minds are genius! I'm over here trying to nail all kinds of 4x4's to the corners of my house, and across the ceiling, termites flying out of their homes from all my ruckus.
Awesome. Thanks for the ingenuous idea. One thing: it might save winding/unwinding time if you added another cleat at some distance to the left or right. Just a thought.
Is there a way maybe to have a rope lock on the rope when pulling to not have it fall back down as you are strapping the rope? Thanks for the post, love it.
I just thought of this idea for my garage and started searching to see if others have done it. The tire side is obvious, but still not sure how to support the seat end.... your idea is okay, but I'm thinking chain and rubber hook around frame since I can screw in to my ceiling joists. Be mainly storage through winter.
+Krzysiek Derkowski yeah, I think the majority of the burden is on that center eyehook. just use a stout one and make sure you hit stud. 50 lb rated pulleys should be fine. I like that this idea gets the bikes up and parallel to the ceiling, unlike those bike hoists.
Hello would you be interested in hosting a link in your video description to our garage organization products in return for a free system or a commission on sales?
Genius!!!! Great job!! I found this googling how to hang ours under the top our back porch! Thank you!!
We've used this idea at two apt addresses now. Thank you!
Thanks! Just made mine after watching this video and it has changed my room completely! Thanks again!
Can you list all the equipment used to make this? Like amount of screws, hooks, type of wood etc
Possibly the greatest youtube ever. Thanks!
Got mine built in my garage! Works awesome thanks for the inspiration!

Oh my goodness. This solves all of my problems! Great idea, thanks for sharing

Awesome idea. Are you going to paint the hanging boats white? That would blend in even nicer.
Genius! I’m tired of hitting my head on our bikes when I forget there there
Love the “boss” pose at the end!
This is a great idea.
I have made something similar but not as neat in my garage.
Have you put up a parts list anywhere ?
Cool ideas of storing or parking the bikes indoor.
Just gotta make sure it's positioned 90 degrees to the seat post since there's little swing like the pulley shown here.

yeah, pay attention to what the hell you're doing. not everything in life is idiot proof.

I like this concept. way better than those bike hoists
can u give us supply list
Wood ,hooks, rope, screws
Great stuff! Looking at doing something similar. We don’t ride every day and I’d like to do something like that above my work bench in the garage!
My thoughts exactly. How did yours turn out?
Hi - Any new ideas or videos or directions on how to store the bike flat on the ceiling
Very cool idea. I have a huge garage, but still no room for 3 bikes, with all the other crap I have in it. This may be just the ticket!
Would this be a problem to hydraulic brakes ??
Спасибо!
Голову сломала, как уместить 2 велосипеда. Ваш способ самый крутой. Все сумею сделать Сама!
ABSOLUTELY LOVE!!!!!!!!! this idea. Thanks for the video.
why do you have only one hook on the back wheel and 2 hooks on the front?
+amos cruz Most likely because the front wheel pivots whereas the rear does not. Two hooks eliminate the front wheel's tendency to turn.
Nice, did you use any pulleys? I can't tell from the video?
Yes , you can hear the pulleys turning when he pulls the rope.
I dont think he used a pulley, I think that he used an Eyelet with a rope going through it
Great idea! A. step by step would be great for me
Got a list of supplies needed?
this is
EXACTLY
what I need!
thanx dudes
solar panel in the window ebike charger?
Thats sick bro!!gave me some ideas for my new garage..
Wow I love this how did you make this
Clever and resourceful, nice job!
just what i needed! thanks!
Brilliant. Thanks for sharing.
This is a great idea best space saver..
That is incredibly clever
how tall is your ceiling?
What a great idea - having 9 bikes I need this....off to buy timber :)
Where are you now :(
Great idea, but if that rope gets loose pow ,!!!! how about a a latch that mounts to ceiling , then swings down and latches in a lock position?
or just install a screw eye and tie a carabiner or something like it on the end of the rope at the right height. Clip in and done
Really cool ! But thinking your not getting your deposit back .
You smart sons of guns!
I'm gonna do this.
Best space saver! !
Great idea! Thank you
Brilliant! I am going to do this in my garage!
that is a great idea!
It looks practical but it would take a few days before I stopped feeling like the bike will fall on my head.

Very nice but I assume you're not renting? Otherwise that'll be ~$40 plus your security deposit!
Thanks dude.Means a lot.
You are a genius. And your contraption is very cheap to build.
please make a video when the rope fails and the bike goes through the window. haha! jp, good innovation
Good man, just what I need. 👍
Love it !! Thanks for the idea ! :D
Great idea, just make sure your bikes don't have hydraulic brakes. You'll want to keep those upright to avoid any problems.
+Jesus A Covarrubias how do you figure? if they are bled and there is no air in the system, it shouldn't matter.
Have to agree with Ultrakool, the break system is a sealed system so it wont matter.
Monetize this idea bro. Just don't be to greedy.
Te quedo muy chingón Bro.
Really good idea!
Ingenious!
MUY BUENO, MUY CREATIVO Y PRACTICO
Thanks for the upload
Sweet idea.

sweet idea.

Super!
Genius
Superb. However, not very practical, if at all, for a 35-40 pound cruiser type bike...
"Copy & Paste" in my bethroom, thanks!!
until it swings out too far and busts out the window
Its good but, very dangerous
+Rodri Segura It's only dangerous if they're not mounted securely...which they seem like they are.
@gnc ....
nice hack.
I’ve had bikes hanging like that for 25 years...
You're not getting your security deposit back!
That's dumb yes he will. derp
Good way to damage your spokes and rim.
There are better parts at Lowe's. Home Depot sucks
