for those struggling to find him/her, you have to have a snowstorm (not snowing, which was my mistake) and you need to beat 3 gyms, then go to hammerlock or whatever its called, once you have actually entered hammerlock for the first time, you can now time travel to get the snowstorm (different icon to snowing)

Unfortunately i had to run because i was at a low catcher level and my team still lower than this lvl 60 lucario. But i did get a riolu as a surprise trade from Japan. Still hunting around for my own to rename.
For people who have trouble finding riolu for hours make sure you make it to hammerlock first then do this method in the video and if you can’t find riolu then what you wanna do is keep leaving giants cap area then go back in as quickly as possible with your bike to respawn the Pokémon and make sure to not only look for riolu but listen out for him as well and eventually you’ll find him, like I did within a few minutes I’ve tried this 👍
I found a riolu so I saved so that I can go back to that save when I fail and after 14 attempts of trying to catch it with an ultra ball I did a little bit of damage to it and brought it down to 70 hp and accidentally threw a great ball and got it
I got mine from a max raid battle, threw a friend ball and bred it after beating the game. I now have competitive riolu eggs that evolve quickly. They are to trade too si if you catch a trainer by the name of Mike trading eggs take them and hatch them.

I ran into him, knowing nothing about the game, "The pokemon won't let it's guard down!". Too low of a level 😭 Couldn't catch, couldn't run. I had to kill it. I've never been more sad in this game. Thank goodness it wasn't shiny.
Catching Riolu is straight up HELL.. When i found one i was SO HAPPY, but then... It used.... SACRIFICE. I had to search another one.. And another one... And then at the 12th one i think I finally catched it..
The soothe bell helps with friendship level, have any pokemon you want to have a higher friendship level at the head of your team, then camp and play with them for a bit, after playing cook curry it raises their friendship level a lot. :) P.S SaberVoid

I fought a lucario that never attacked me and I got it to one hit and "Its guard was up" so I was never able to use a pokeball
It took about 10 minutes to find for me, and it was shiny too on the first encounter! Thanks bro!
