Nonsense .. all your exercise is useless if your cardiovascular system won’t take any more oxygen. you can train until the cows come home you’re not gonna get any better. There’s only so much you can take internally.
You can build fast twitch muscle growth by training outside of the pool with these dryland exercises. When you combine these drills with quality pool training to build your cardio, your body will build more power in and out of the water.

@@USMastersSwimming that is true, but some of these exercises are not the best... there are more efficient movements to build strength and power in muscle groups used while swimming for push off the walls - barbell squats to build strength and medicineball squat with jump to build power and speed... pullups / chin ups to build upper body strength... side lunges you showed are fine, I wouldn't pick kettlebell for it, but you should go deeper, not stop barely bending your knee, and accompany them with regular lunges... deadlift with kettlebell is again weird pick, but the technique is good, just don't be so keen on 8 reps, anything between 5-15 is perfectly fine for strength building and if you have dumbbells and can go lower than with kettlebell it's even better
