Hey I’m not the one to comment on videos but you should put some type of metal plate in the inside to spread the load of your outboard you’re gonna mess up the transom. Like yours videos keep them coming
Hey thanks for watching and the recommendation! Its a wood/fiberglass boat which has a pretty solid transom for the motor that we are running. Have been using it for the last month and haven't had any issues but will def keep an eye out. If I have to reinforce it, I will mostly likely glass in a 1" board of Coosa. Thanks again for your comment and for following along!
I’m thinking of getting this exact jack plate. Currently I have a cmc tilt and trim. My only question is how do you trim the motor to get it on plane with a jack plate? Do you use the holes in the motor with the pin to adjust it and keep it at one setting the entire time ?
I leave the motor all the way down and use the manual tilt latch when needed. I have my motor pin one up from the bottom which sets my motor up right. With the jack plate you can jack the motor pretty high and keep it level. Its def nice to have!

@@reelfreedomoutdoorsand does the motor bolt to that plate or does it just clamp down
@ it does both once you drill the holes for the motor bracket through the plate. I used two SS bolts for more security.
