    I was ten years old when i heard this for the first time, i'm 41 old man
    now.
    Do you believe me if i tell you that i never heard anymore this music,
    until now, and all is like in my remembers, every sound, every note,
    everything ...
    I'm a composer and musician, i really think that this music (with
    others) pushed me to make music.
    Thank you for letting me listening it again ^^

      1977? Like me ;) Search Gem'X title theme tune by Chris Huelsbeck. If you don't know the tune. Then check this out: ua-cam.com/video/XNQvm-q__tQ/v-deo.html ;)

      I know exactly where you are coming from...37 years old now....i still remember being at my cousins when i was 9 or 10...loading these games just to hear the music...The music has stayed with me since then, its part of me as stupid as that sounds...Every single note, i can still remember. Glad this music made you a composer :) Martin Galway and Olof Gustafsson...the music they created defines me as an adult...Puts a never ending smile on my face whenever i hear or think about this music x x

    Ocean Loader 2 is my favourite of them all - slightly more refined than #1 but not as overblown as 3,4 and 5. Galway rocks!

    I have listened to C64 music on top of volcanoes in East Asia, just to make sure the magnificence of the C64 reaches the most unusual places.
    C64 forever.....there is not 1 day that passes without the C64 being part of it :)

      Or more likely the reason to start the game was to see this loading intro and listen. The gaming was just the secondary.

    I loved Arkanoid. And the music to Rambo was AWESOME... Summer Games 2, Paradroid, Track and Field.. so many games I loved Rescue on Fractalis and The Eidolon. Gunship, Wasteland (the disk version for C64 was brilliant) MULE.. Brilliant Goiung to grab C64 forever right now and get some classic gaming going, :)

    • @sisterofslaanesh666

      well alot of c64 music is influenced by Jean Michel Jarre, and they often just covered his songs for it, theres a video about how they kinda mix together, called sidelogie

    • @Eclipse2582
      @Eclipse2582 7 років тому +4

      +HΣSPΣRΛXΛ That isn't what I was getting at.
      It reminds me of the Imagine port of Yie-Ar Kung Fu precisely because the exact same piece of music is used. It is called the Ocean Loader and it was originally composed by Martin Galway - nothing to do with Jean-Michel Jarre at all.

  • @AmigaBoingBlog
    @AmigaBoingBlog 2 роки тому

    The music is kinda timed with the drawing of the graphics - slightly off at the beginning, but as it nears the end, it almost fits perfectly, the tempo changes as it reaches the end
    I think that was the intention originally, to have it start at the same time as the music, as each new line is drawn, the music slightly changes, to signal the new line, it is more or less in rhythm with the music throughout till the graphics are drawn in full, then bursts into the tune..

    I like the loading sound of this computer...but i prefer the mantras of the bits of the spectrum loaders...I could identify the game only by the sound...AND kNOW WHEN THE LOADING FINISH FEW SECONDS BEFORE!! The king of the keyboard.

    come on peeps you're gonna make me cry any second now! I've just hit the big 5-O and I love this stuff more than ever - This stuff preempts things like trance (don't get me wrong the golden age of trance was about 1999 - 2001 ish and I love it!) but this stuff was 10 years ahead of it's time and I still listen to it now! - In the future when people talk about musicians/composers it wont just be Bach and Beethoven it will include Rob Hubbard & Martin Galway!
