I think the government needs to repeal its laws prohibiting indigenous communities from conducting their traditional fire management practices and Cal Fire should work cooperatively with indigenous peoples to help restore a more healthy and productive caretaking of the land

I’m surprised to learn that there has been work done on the forest to clean up the thousands of standing dead trees from the Dixie and Sugar fires. I live in southern Lassen County, and I can tell you that I haven’t seen any work from Hallelujah to Janesville. A little has been done in the Janesville area, but I don’t think it’s been the work of the forest service. This is disheartening to hear because it means that, once again, south county is being ignored. Any idea when, or if, our area will be addressed before these trees are fuel for another fire?
