Shanghai Pudong International Airport is located approximately 30 kilometers east of downtown Shanghai, covering an area of about 37.8 square kilometers. As a major international aviation hub, it handles most of Shanghai's international flights, while Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport, closer to downtown, primarily services domestic flights. In 2019, Pudong Airport reached a passenger throughput of 76.15 million, ranking eighth in the world, only behind Beijing Capital International Airport. I love Asia,, feel so safe, so peaceful, no need to worry about mass shooting or be thrown into a speeding train like one particular country.... Oh did I mention super fast 300 mph trains, unlike those kiddie 60 mph trains that derail quite often...

Yes, the queue is indeed quite long. However, in my experience, the speed of going through the ticket verification gate is pretty fast, so you don't have to wait for a long time. I remember that ticket checking usually begins 10-15 minutes before the train departs.😊
15:41 - Scenery of Suzhou and Suzhou North Station. The location featuring many tall buildings captured in the video is Suzhoubei Railway Station, located in Xiangcheng District, Suzhou City, Jiangsu Province, China. It's a first-class station under the jurisdiction of China Railway Shanghai Group Co., Ltd., and it is an important transportation hub in the Suzhou area.
Suzhou is an ancient city with an officially recognized history of over 2500 years, making it one of the oldest existing cities in China. The area with many high-rise buildings that you see is a newly planned area near the Suzhou North Railway Station.
I think this area is part of the new development plan. Compared to the city center, the land here is cheaper, so there's no need to build the houses so tall and densely packed.
LOL why would you need check-in and boarding gates at a train station? Just so that we can have the worst parts of air travel? I thought you guys were smarter
As a passenger, I believe that the introduction of ticket checking at train stations like Shanghai Hongqiao is a measure to prevent passengers from boarding the wrong trains. It also serves as a method to help passengers accurately and promptly find their respective trains in situations with high passenger flow and multiple train departures.
Cos huge station like Hongqiao have mutiple lines of train, so you need gates lead the people to their own train, other hand, a check-in is needed cos that can make sure nobody have wrong stuff like explosive ones on board the train.
To the best of my knowledge, the primary contributors to the technology are German Siemens, French Alstom, and Canadian companies. Japan's Kawasaki Heavy Industries does not have a high percentage of involvement.

so clean so cool I love China
Seeing your comment made me realize, it's not easy to maintain such cleanliness in a place with such a high daily foot traffic.
Yep a communist state can make faster and more reliable train system than our democratic Swedish state can
Comparable to New York’s Penn Station in terms of crowd. One key difference is that you don’t see any aimless people wandering around.

That`s wired cos I had heard that India got crazy improvement on economy in past few years why the gov don`t invest on public infrastructure?
I will take the train to Xiangyang there soon. Thank you, this helps me visualize.

我是中国人,我认为中国最繁忙的火车站是广州南站,是中国第一也是世界第一,非常多人

Nice station, but is it close to city center?
Our govt was sleeping since 70 years & China was working till late night so the result:
Where do you come from, mate?
It's quieter than our bloody Gare de Lyon in France....!
