- I have been recording some feedings over the last few months, so I figured I would make a quick video with the footage I have. Hope you enjoy it!
feeding my blue tree monitor, ackie monitor, water monitor, gecko, dart frogs, chameleon. Mice and quail were frozen and thawed. Plus, a sneak peak of a custom DIY Reptile Enclosure I have been working on.
mainly insect diet for Ackie (Varanus Acanthurus) and Blue Tree Monitor (Varanus Macraei) but recorded them eating some treats or after my Ackie laid a clutch of eggs to boost her weight.

Fr, seeing the water monitor climb on his arm to feed is something I strive for some day when I get my own lizzers.
@MidszAlexxsito13 love this and I'll definitely try in future builds. I mainly make diy videos to share what I've engineered or learn from others. It's a blast watching them in a naturalistic environment doing their thjng!

@Viktor Martin thanx, he was super shy for the 1st month or so. I just kept working with him. just before I was going to post this video we had a breakthrough and now he is coming up to me for all feedings or when my hand/arm is in his enclosure he sometimes just climbing up and chillin. Glad I was able to edit him in with the trust he has now.

Honestly, I can't pick a favourite. I'm in love with the entire Varanidae family. I will say, seeing the ackie have grown since the enclosure video does bring a smile to my face. I desperately want one 😫 lol.

I live in Canada and don't want to have to ship an animal, so finding local breeders so so hard. I've found one, but haven't heard from them since November.

This video was amazing ! I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again and again lol.... your enclosure builds are out of this world ! It literally looks like you cut a chunk of the jungle out & put it into an enclosure ! It’s absolutely amazing ! You should do these enclosure builds as a side gig lol I’d hire you in a split second ! & I loved the ackie & blue tree feedings ! & was that an Asian water monitor at the very beginning ? That one has some stunning makings on it ! & can’t say I’ve ever watched a chameleon eat....so that was cool as well ! That critter sure has some vivid colors on it ! Wow !

The blue tree is a fun species to work with and his enclosure is probably my favorite ATM.
Yes it is a water monitor, Varanus Cumingi are typically a smaller water monitor with amazing color patterns.

How have I never heard of you? These enclosures are absolutely incredible! I just finished using zoomed excavating clay to make a little hill for my leopard gecko enclosure and then I stumble upon these pieces of actual living art. Extremely inspirational. Hopefully someday I can make one enclosure that looks anywhere near these.

@@bradsbioactivebuilds thanks for asking.. I'm almost complete with my 1st of 3 enclosures I'm working on, this one is 3ft tall, 28in wide, 18in deep for one of my gargoyle geckos. Made from 1/2in ply with laminate interior then the Foam/silicon/drylock method. I may post a short vid when I'm done. Next one will be my chameleon enclosure which will be very similar to yours (thanks so much for the inspiration) and then another my leaf tail gecko

Wish I had access to get sheets of PVC near by. But I think my favorites are the blue tree enclosure and the chameleon enclosure
@DanielHale try checking out a custom sign shop. I've heard of people not having access to PVC sheets at there hardware stores having luck at sign shops. Sometimes the call it expanded pvc sheets or foam pvc sheets.
I'd have to agree, so fare my blue tree is my favorite but they all have there own personalized features that makes it hard for me to decide lol. It's cool just watching the inhabitants do their thing in the most naturalistic enclosure I can provide.

You have some of the best enclosures ive seen on youtube and i know this is abit late, but i was wondering how you heat your gecko enclosures if you don't mind me asking.

Varanus Cumingi Water monitor. They typically stay a little smaller than your typical water monitor but still a large lizard lol.

@Katie I've been successful using drylok with my ackie and blue tree monitor. But my upcoming build I'm working on will be for a larger species. I'll be using Zoopoxy. For the monitor you have, I would use Zoopoxy, cement or mortar. Their nails will tare through drylok and rip up the foam.
