I just kept working with him. just before I was going to post this video we had a breakthrough and now he is coming up to me for all feedings or when my hand/arm is in his enclosure he sometimes just climbing up and chillin. Honestly, I can't pick a favourite. I'm in love with the entire Varanidae family. I will say, seeing the ackie have grown since the enclosure video does bring a smile to my face. I desperately want one 😫 lol.

Made from 1/2in ply with laminate interior then the Foam/silicon/drylock method. I may post a short vid when I'm done. Next one will be my chameleon enclosure which will be very similar to yours (thanks so much for the inspiration) and then another my leaf tail gecko

How have I never heard of you? These enclosures are absolutely incredible! I just finished using zoomed excavating clay to make a little hill for my leopard gecko enclosure and then I stumble upon these pieces of actual living art. Extremely inspirational. Hopefully someday I can make one enclosure that looks anywhere near these.

@DanielHale try checking out a custom sign shop. I've heard of people not having access to PVC sheets at there hardware stores having luck at sign shops. Sometimes the call it expanded pvc sheets or foam pvc sheets. I'd have to agree, so fare my blue tree is my favorite but they all have there own personalized features that makes it hard for me to decide lol. It literally looks like you cut a chunk of the jungle out & put it into an enclosure ! It’s absolutely amazing ! You should do these enclosure builds as a side gig lol I’d hire you in a split second ! & I loved the ackie & blue tree feedings ! & was that an Asian water monitor at the very beginning ? That one has some stunning makings on it ! & can’t say I’ve ever watched a chameleon eat....so that was cool as well ! That critter sure has some vivid colors on it ! Wow !

@Katie I've been successful using drylok with my ackie and blue tree monitor. But my upcoming build I'm working on will be for a larger species. I'll be using Zoopoxy. For the monitor you have, I would use Zoopoxy, cement or mortar. Their nails will tare through drylok and rip up the foam. Hope you have fun with your build! 🤘💯🦎🐸🐍🐢
Why not leave live insects in your reptiles’ enclosures and allow them to catch them more naturally? Relationship building? Not saying from outside, of course.
@nelsojr1423 great question, I do let a few insects free roam for some natural hunting and enrichment depending on the animal. But a good way to socialize is to tongs feed.

Wish I had access to get sheets of PVC near by. But I think my favorites are the blue tree enclosure and the chameleon enclosure

Varanus Cumingi Water monitor. They typically stay a little smaller than your typical water monitor but still a large lizard lol.
