Kims whole thing is that she likes older stuff. Thats why she uses and old CD player and listens to older music. So her level 3 music makes sense. She was never gonna be into WuTang etc
Kim listens to a cassette player and speaking of Wutang, their first few albums were released on cassette tape. And of course there are older hip-hop albums from the 80s that were on cassette. Kim listening to hip-hop wasn't out of the question tbh

I don’t think someone like wutang would be of Kim interest imo but if it it came to be that would be cool! I think her theme suits her and sounds like music she’d listen to and I think her level 3 suits her but it doesn’t suit her as much as it does with the lyrics! The lyrics with the song screams Kimberly to me

Stingrays110 must be the smartest Ken I've seen. Most great Kens in SF6 are just unending avalaches, unstoppable but not very creative. Maybe I'm wrong and they are doing super brainy stuff I'm not keen enough to notice, but with Stingray you can actually see how he is adapting and baking new strategies right on the spot. Truly fun to watch.
They put a Benny the butcher song in the game but gave Kimberly game show music

On top of all that she needs to land 2-3 hit/command grabs before you even feel close to threatened by it.

It feels kinda weird that people would just assume someone has to like hip-hop because of where they're from and what they look like. Meanwhile, I know someone who's like 50 years old, white, from Minnesota country and loves gangster rap, and people would probably think that doesn't make sense or even seem possible for some reason.
Brian spitting facts.. music from sf6 is un catchy and low intensity, i know it supuse to be "street" like but hip hop is not the only one, especially when u go around all the globe.

The SF6 soundtrack could have been 100% hip-hop it wouldn't have mattered as long as it was good. (Most of the soundtrack isn't hip-hop btw, outside of some trap style drums and arbitrary record scratches on tracks. This soundtrack is largely EDM)
Blaming the quality of SF6's music on the entire hip-hop genre is a ridiculous argument. Edit: I mean the character themes literally "go all around the globe". Juri's theme sounds like K-Pop, Blanka's theme is rooted in Brazilian funk, etc.
People hated the music in sf3 until 3rd strike, and even then, they hated it when it first came out. History is just repeating itself. When SF8 comes out, the new generation will love sf6's music and mechanics. 😂
I personally really like all the character themes, aside of Dee Jay's theme, but I agree they most of them don't have enough intensity until is too late.
That said, I would say that calling SF6's ost boring is the most basic ass take.
Except for Jamie, they saved all the good songs for the menus. Everything else is forgettable.
Since you don't listen to the game music do you listen to other music or just game sounds?
Brian plays with just the game sounds, so the recordings come out with no music. That way the youtube videos can have other music added over them.
Kim is an 80's obsessed, straight A nerd/track field college star, that threw away everything to become a ninja.
Expecting her to have a conventional taste in music is what's misguided Brian.

I would agree to hating SF6 music, if I could remember any of them. I seriously can't remember any themes besides Zangief's and character select screen music.
