Stories involving Earth 1 and 2 existed LONG before this cartoon was even drawn. So no, this is not the first story about the multiverse, at least in DC. We already had a hint of it here
Yeah - it’s a bit clueless in regard to comics history, especially DC comics history. I believe the parallel earth concept in comics started with “The Flash of Two Worlds”.
@@andrewbaron808 there was an episode of the super friends where an evil superman came into the justice league universe and they had to defeat him and figure a way to get the good superman back from the alternate universe where he was taken prisoner by the evil super friends (so from an animation point of view that would be the first multiverse DCU animated story). it was super friends season 4 episode 5 named Universe of Evil. The Episode aired on Oct 20, 1979. Well before this one. Its more mirror mirror/syndicate like but still an alternate reality in the shows.
Yeah, this episode was tragic as heck. Even as a kid I understood that while the kid did trap everyone in an illusion, his mutation happened while he was a young and that had to have messed him up. So two teams of League jumped a kid who just wanted to fix the world or at least give the illusion of a fixed world.
DC was doing Earth 1 & 2 stories back in the 1960s, with the Justice Society on E1 and Justice League on E2 , they also had Old Batman and Superman in the JSA until the first Crisis of Infinent Earths stories where the combined E1 &E2 into one world. And had only 1 Batman & Superman of JLA, still had the JSA as the heros fighting in WW2 but not duplicate heros.
From an animation point of view the first DC show to do this was super friends season 4 episode 5 named Universe of Evil. The Episode aired on Oct 20, 1979. Superman was swaped with an evil version of himself from a mirror universe similar to the mirror mirror universe depicted in star trek. In the other reality he was taken prisoner and had to figure out how to get home. The Super Friends didn't get off Scott free either, they had to deal with an EVIL superman.... in the end they where able to get them to swap back, but that was the first instance I can recall of, in animation at least, that there was alternate universes involved
I didn't blame green lantern for falling for hawkgirl, she was pretty hot despite just being a cartoon character, hell if she was a flesh and blood woman I'd date her myself 😍
7:00 This makes me think in the Ringed city of Dark Souls 3, by the prospect that both places that were seemingly prosperous, were actually an illusions created by some beings. And when this beings stopped their power, it was revealed the true state from this places; a barren and destroyed cities.
A liga não devastou aquela terra e sim revelou que ela já estava destruída. Era apenas uma ilusão de um vilão de lá que fazia parecer que a sociedade lá ainda estava intacta.
Loved the video but this isn't the "very first story to suggest parallel worlds in the world of comics" by a milestone, before this there have been a lot of stories on both Marvel and DC touching on the multiverse
you really dont do much research do you....there have been countless alternate world in comics going back decades....and to give this solely to DC is an injustice to hundreds or writers and dreamers who have done this story. please research more before giving false credit.
That’s comics, this is referring to TV, and in terms of DC pretty sure that would be correct, as marvel had the whole thing of serval spider-men teaming up years prior in that Spider-Man tv show with madame web played by Stan lee’s wife
I want to learn more about this bootleg Doctor freeze? I've never heard of Doctor freeze in any of the multi verses, Horrible AI recap please tell me more or should I go ask meta?
Nope. Wandavision was based on House of M comic storyline. By the way this is a bad AI generated summary and you should just have watched the episode instead.
00:02: MARVEL: DC, we would like to have a word with you about that robot design. DC: What about it? MARVEL: It's Ultron. DC: No it isn't. MARVEL: [lifts eyebrow] DC: How about we do an episode that's a tribute to The Defenders and we can pretend this never happened? MARVEL: [sigh] Fine...
Crisis on Infinite Earths predates this by a decade and came long after the multiverse and was their attempt to streamline all the various timelines. This isn't even close to being the first multiverse story.

@@andrewbaron808 AMEN!!!!
DC's Multiverse began in the 1960's with that story!
No.
@@andrewbaron808Yes, in “Flash” #123 in 1961.

You forgot the best dialogue : We've died once for this land, we can die again.
Doubtlessly, one of the greatest series on TV
This episode was messed up. And one of the best!
The Justice League didn't destroy the Earth. Even the citizens claim that.
This was a two parter called “Legends” in Justice League’s first season in 2001.
This is far, far away from being the first story of parallel worlds in comic universes. Good grief.
The giant robot looks like EVA
I remember this episode, classic super heroes that inspired John Stewart which he read from comics who were living in an illusion.
I didn't blame green lantern for falling for hawkgirl, she was pretty hot despite just being a cartoon character, hell if she was a flesh and blood woman I'd date her myself 😍
Way out of your league, Bro.
It's the wings right? Chicks with wings, can't go wrong!
Good show. Good stories.
Glad you enjoyed it
Martian Manhunter getting dissed as usual in this show. Just thrown into a building and forgotten lmao

One of my favorite episodes.
The lex robot almost looked like Ultron
On e a Martian feinted in my loft. It did not occur to me to offer him cookies.
marvel did the muti-verse long time ago.
DC introduced it at least in Flash of Two Worlds in 1961,
well..that was another crap Ai recap of a good episode with a clickbait title that was utterly inaccurate.
May I recommend the Shady Dorag video about the episode instead.
@@Left4Cake I agree with this recommendation. Shady always makes awesome stuff that actually has a point beyond just recaps.
Crisis on Infinite Earths 1985.
Green Lantern was acting like a wimp throughout the entire story...
Flash could've just ran them back to their world...
A liga não devastou aquela terra e sim revelou que ela já estava destruída. Era apenas uma ilusão de um vilão de lá que fazia parecer que a sociedade lá ainda estava intacta.
Marvel literally lifted this story for Scarlett Witch
Lol 😂 no. Wandavision came from a story line from marvel comics which started in 1985 and ended in 2005.
Same story, except she's the hero instead of the villain.
Another Wanda simp I see 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
The DC Multiverse was established in the 1960's by Flash comics....
There is also Wonder#59 from 1953.
Perfect ❤
I downloaded this episode
The title doesn't make any sense. Next time do the analysis and don't rely too much on the AI.

Lol.
What can Catman do?
Ha, DC setting the grounds for the MCU ha

Nah, it's green, has four eyes and is giant-sized. Ultron is silver, has two eyes and is human-sized.
@@SeanWheeler100 That's why DC only had to do one tribute episode.
They are not the justice league, I know they killed that poor kid. Super-Man should through them all into the phantom zone for murdering a child!

Justice league is actually main villain in DC..
