Rhythm of the Death Wolf (featuring Akai Rhythm Wolf & DOD Death Metal Distortion)

- This jam was recorded spur of the moment more to showcase how well the Rhythm Wolf plays with distortion than to jam out a kewl track. The Drums are recorded with no external fx, but with plenty of the built in distortion. The bass line is being processed by the DOD Death Metal Distortion pedal, one of the most brutal distortion units ever made. Make sure to check out my other music channel Down Zer0 / @downzer0612
Picked a rhythm wolf up recently and curious to try with my fender blender! Cool video: new sounds ♥️🤗
Beautifully played! It sounds industrial or some like that. You really know how to play Rythm Wolf stuff
+Bernardo Herrera Thank you so much!
Best Wolf vid so far!
+VJ FRANZ K You are right... so evil, so evil
Love the addition of the razor blade and the fancy cut patterns!! Very metal! Lol
Thanks a bunch!
Awesome sounds from the wolf. I just came back to listen again after I found one of these pedals dirt cheap at a pawn shop.
+Chopped Liver Great deal man! If I could only have one distortion unit in my studio, it would be the DOD Death Metal. It works on a lot of stuff, but it really can turn an acid bass into a monster. Have fun with it and share a jam!
Holy crap. Never thought the world could sound good!! Nice job man.
I really think the Wolf is getting alot of unjust hate. This vid shows that this can be an awesome little box for industrial / ebm and such. I think im gonna try and find one cheap on ebay now. Thanks!
+Jason A Another example of people hating what they don't understand. Everybody wants instant gratification, but put a little work into it and the Wolf can be a true beast. Thanks for checking out my tunes. I like your hair.
+HardtekStudios totally agree with you 👍
@@reazallykhanI managed to find one in the UK after watching bad gear, and since then been looking for my friend and the price has shot up!
I hope you picked one up and had fun and used it on our learned to love it and embrace it!
Great little unit for it's quirks, and so easy to connect with other devices through midi ♥️
Brutal! Finally got ahold of a used Death Wolf and love it! Forget the haters!
Ah , it is only a Death Wolf if you run it thru the DOD Death Metal Distortion pedal!
HardtekStudios haha yeah! Looking into one actually. Also the digitech weapon you use sounds great on there too! Cheers!
amazing!
+Gavin Shortall Thanks!
This fuggin rips 👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼
Thanks and rock on!
There is hope for the Wolf!
This music is the best in the music that made only in WOLF!
SHIN 1976 watch the acid session by mo tone, pretty cool too
yeah!
Wow first rhythm wolf demo that sounds good, I guess main problem with this machine is it has very narrow sweet spot
sounding dirty, sick,I saw one of these pedals going for £20 in my local second hand music shop, might get it
+reaz allykhan I would recommend it. The Death Metal is my favorite distortion ever!
+HardtekStudios at the moment, I've hot my wolf running thru a boss flanger rf10 and a compression cs3 pedal then straight into the audio in at the back of my tr8,I use the Wolf for layers, percussion, hats, white noise, the Wolf is a synth to me...nice clip mate
WOLF!!!
Man, this is fucking sick. Question, where'd you get those monochrome patch chords and am I right in assuming that the red one that feeds to the pedal is the bass signal and the more burgundy colored one is the drum signal path? Keep it up, I picked up the dod and the wolf solely because of this video.
+William Woche Wow, thanks a a lot, man. The patch cords are just standard TS 1/4" Hosa patch Cables. You are right, the red cable is the bass signal going to the Death Metal distortion. They are an awesome pair, unfortunately mine died recently. Gotta get another one (or two)!
HardtekStudios do so! You get some fantastic sounds from the merger. One more question, are you feeding directly into a computer or a mixer of any sort. I ask because I've only got a bass amp available but its a single input amplifier and I can't use any added distortion on the bass without affecting the drum machine as well.
+William Woche I use a mixer that has a firewire cable routing all audio in & out of my computer. I would really recommend getting a small mixer. Behringer has really affordable ones. You could use you bass amp as your loudspeaker & use a pair of headphones to check your mix.
have you tried the wolf with any filter pedals?
+matt black I recently have been running it thru the Moog MF Drive pedal that has a Moog ladder filter on it. Also has a CV in for the filter. The Wolf can sound pretty kewl thru it.
nice pedal tho
and I'm pretty sure all the rythem wolf does os either make classic analog beats plus acid ones, and this sounds like some acid synth pop. Ot looks like you need some lessons in music
It's alright, I can make by fat better beats on my rythen wolf no offense, but listen tod aphex twin analord, it really helped me understand acid analog sound.
+Eric Albrecht I don't now how true that is, but at least I can say that I am the better speller. Also, using a bass that can sound like an acid bass doesn't automatically make it an acid track.
prove it
^_^

I think you just have the wrong idea. I am not trying to make strait up Acid. I am simply demonstrating what the Wolf can do and having a good time doing it! Plus your spelling really is bad, proof is on the screen. If you are so sensitive about it, then fix it. Spell check is easy to use.
