  • Hi guys, I was looking for a way to get better analog FPV video. And then I came across a video on YT that really helped me out. I don't want to say this is my idea in any way. I just want to show with this video, that his solution works. And it can help a lot of you with FPV problems as well.

    Very Very clean! I am so glad you get the same results and now enjoy such good video. Thank you very much for mentioning PropsOff in such a kind way. Nice rip too...👍🏻🍻👊🏻

      I know, sorry about that 😋. His method worked for me, and I wanted more analog pilot's to see his video. I could have just copied 'propsoffs' video, but that just doesn't feel right too me.

    Good tip I’d missed that PropsOff video. In his video his plan for cross grounding / redundant grounding seems targeted to the board design he’s got, he’s grounding between the different sections of the board. Did you do redundant grounding? I’m wondering how to apply it usefully to a smaller board.

    • @SquareOneFPV
      @SquareOneFPV  2 роки тому +1

      Well it's been a while since I did that mod, but I believe I powered the camera directly from the main lead with a voltage regulator in between. I also did redundant grounding yes, especially the vtx and the cam pad pad even tho it was unused, but because most ground are connected, I thought it could help to give that area of the board better grounding and so less noise into the system. What do you mean by "smaller board"? Like a TW board or 20x20?

      Thanks for replying! Yes, I'm looking at a 25mm Betafpv AIO. May try grounding from VTX to the ground in the VTX section of the board (it's unused as I'm trying a BEC from battery for VTX power) and see if it does anything. But that's sort of random, I'm not sure if it would be doing the same thing as what he's doing on that larger board.

      @@cw8165 You're welcome👍😃, that's a good idea. But I'd say try grounding it directly to the battery lead ground, that's the "biggest" ground you have on the board. And make the battery lead as short as possible, that's also a big noise maker.
      A small cap could also help, not sure that'll do much one a 1s.
      The best video I ever got on a TW is when I used a TBS nano vtx ( the one that goes up to 500mw)

    you know I have an old matek full size PDB on one of my 5 inchers... reason being I accidently blew the positive trace on the vbat rail doing something stupid for the camera power... had to use the PDB. Video looks really good! Just built a new drone with nearly identical parts and have a ton of noise... I wasn't sure if those mini PDBs would fit the issue but you are saying it will?

    • @SquareOneFPV
      @SquareOneFPV  2 роки тому

      I'd say yes, use a mini voltage regulator to give the vtx filtered power, and power your camera from the vtx not the main board. But I can't be sure unless I see your build...
      If the image still isn't clean enough connect the ground pad in the camera area (on the fc) to the ground pad on the vtx.
      I'm sure you know all this, try and keep the main battery lead as short as possible, and of course use a capacitor, on the board side not the xt60 side.
