AT Section Hike - EP16 Part 1 - Dalton, MA to Cheshire, MA

Mile Marker 1572.1 to Mile Marker 1580.8
Part 1 of 8 - This video part of a series of videos documenting my Section Hike that I took along the Appalachian Trail in August 2021...as I go North Bound (NoBo) on my quest to hike the 2,200 Mile long AT.
This AT Section Hike went 134 Miles from Dalton, MA to Killington, VT.
Part 1 focuses on getting to the Trail Head in Dalton, MA (Mile Marker 1572.1)...and then hiking to Cheshire, MA (Mile Marker 1580.8).
This Section Hike we hiked along the AT thru the last part of MASSACHUSETTES and 3/4 of VERMONT.
This was a hard Section to hike. We had LOTS OF RAIN and a very WET & MUDDY Trail as VT had its wettest JULY ever...followed up with moisture from 3 different Hurricanes in August - one of them while we were hiking. We did get a couple of days hiking under BLUE Skies, which is much more enjoyable then hiking in the Rain...and the Mud...and the Slop.
