- All Predator 2 Yautja Explained - The Lost Tribe
The Lost Tribe, also known as The Los Angeles Hunting-Party were a group of Predators who arrived in the city of Los Angeles sometime in 1997. They operated out of their spaceship which was hidden underground inside of a storm drain where it would remain out of sight of the local inhabitants.
The reason for their visit to Earth was for their newest member to undertake an initiation to prove himself to the rest of his tribe by stalking and killing the deadliest members of the warring Colombian and Jamaican gangs as well as officers of the city’s Police Department.
This Predator killed many members of these three factions and took their skulls as trophies for the clan, to be displayed on their large trophy wall.
But their actions caught the attention of both Detective Mike Harrigan (Danny Glover) a Lieutenant in the Police Department, as well as a CIA task force named The Other Worldly Life Forms Program, or OWLF for short. Led by Peter Keyes (Gary Busey) They were a group of agents with a top-secret mission - Investigating Alien incursions on Earth.
Their ultimate aim was to capture a live Yautja specimen for study and to gain access to their advanced weapons and technology.
The Predator killed the OWLF team, but Detective Harrigan managed to injure it, and followed it back to the ship, where they duelled in a final fight to the death, with Harrigan emerging victorious. Then the other members of the Lost Tribe appeared and carried their deceased brother away. Their leader then handed him a Flintlock pistol as a reward for managing to defeat one of their warriors, before they took off and left the Earth.

The fact that they took the time to design each and every one of these yautja is amazing! They could had just used the same design of the city hunter but instead they gave each one a slightly unique look!

These guys are so awesome I had to pick up all of the Neca Ultimates of these guys. They’re just so badass.
They should of went off one of these predators in back history of the lost tribe predator's or the elder predator the would be a great movie to see a back his on there planet more too

One theory I have is that City Hunter was a son of one of the older hunters in the clan (Specifically Greyback)
Greyback was about to send Warrior out to either bring back or kill city hunter for being a reckless psycho
@@idiot_city5244 considering Yautja culture, this still wouldn't be enough to count his theory out.
After all City was drawing a lot of attention with his killing sprees and leaving tracks, putting the clan at risk of being discovered.
Of course Greyback would order Warrior to kill him if necessary, even if he were his son.

Oh, I would like to see more of Grayback and his crew as well former members of his crew as well new members of his crew in a newer, bigger ship with newer up-to-date tech and weapons sense the last time we have seen Grayback because just like all clans they sometimes start out small before becoming bigger, and I think by now Grayback would looked a little bit older sense his last time on Earth, but still in good shape to fight and hunt anytime he wants to when he is not busy overseeing Hunts or exploring new worlds in search of new prey for the Yautja hunt.
The Lost Predator "Borg" was the first Neca figure I got. Though Battle Damaged City Hunter and Jungle Hunter are on their way. About the right size for Star Wars Black series and G.I. Joes.

Cause all the costumes were stolen after shooting the movie, therefore calling them "the lost tribe" as in "we lost the costumes"

I'd call them the Lost Tribe cause after Predator 2 every damn director, and creator decided to put there own mark on who the Predators face should look like. Sure not every Pred looks alike, hell just look at the Preds in 2 but did they have to totally move away from the classic look for the last 5 movies. Sh*t Prey went even farther away from damn near any Pred's face. All this in spite of those of us fans that keep saying stop, and bring back the classic Predator.
Sorry Edit: to be clear I'm talking about the facial design and kinda the build, because its been 30 some odd years since this type of OG Pred has been seen. Prey, well many of us voiced our want for the return of the classic and perfect design for the Pred since AvP. Thankfully it was a offshoot and the Prey director wasn't trying to change the Predator, but give us another group like the Super Preds from Predators. But when did the AvP Pred's face and bulker look become the standard. I mean it was used in Predators for the Captured Pred that was suppose to be the same type as the Jungle Hunter. This look was again used in The Predator along with that DNA Hybrid bull. So after 30+ years of every director and creator putting their own mark on the design is why I'd call them The Lost Tribe.
This is such a stupid take. The Predator is always evolving and changing, and it always will. ACTUAL fans love seeing new variants introduced like the Super Predators and the Feral Predator.
The Jungle Hunter (A.K.A. Savage) mostly just used his Plasma Caster. Now the Predators all use different unique gadgets and look unique and are easily characterized. Meanwhile the Lost Tribe mostly looks too similar to even be interesting.
You're basically a boomer but for Predator. Like a Genwunner from Pokemon who refuses to accept that the series has evolved past it's original primitive and basic designs.
Predator laid the ground work for an amazing fandom to be built off of.

I was talking about the movies directors constantly altering the Preds face. I made no mention of their gear and how yes they evolve, which movie-wise The Jungle Hunter (not Savage anything) was the known first. How I'm tired of all the variants, and movie-wise would like for them to bring back the classic original look. Since it's been 33 years, and the facial design didn't need to be constantly changed cause the director wanted to add their mark.
Which the currant look has actually got more primitive since the first 2 movies. Just look at the facial design of Preds from AvP, Predators Super Preds, The Predator and Prey's Feral. But again Feral was a different breed and a 100 some odd years ago, as well as the Supers.
Preds evolve their gear and tactics, and not what Black tried to do in his 2018 The Predator. Those of the Lost Tribe looked similar cause they were apart of the same tribe, as were the ones in AvP, Predators and if we'd seen Ferals tribe guess what... But if you couldn't see the difference in each of the characters shown to be interesting to you, than that's on you.
Not all fans like you or maybe just you liked the Feral Pred. Though I'm not a fan of the Feral Preds facial design (as I was originally talking about). Thankfully the director revealed it was a offshoot, that was from a different environment then the others. It was a good movie and ranks 4th on my list. But many of us fans were hoping for a return to a more classic Pred and voiced it for years. I never originally mentioned the Super Preds, which are a fine addition to the Pred universe.
Finally a bit of advice, next time fully read what someone actually said before going on a rant like this. Unless your just a dumba** who gets all butt hurt cause someone shared a thought that wasn't your own. That it drove you to attack me by making up things that I never said and lamely trying to insult me.
I've never cared for the Lost Tribe outside of the City Hunter (A.K.A. Ghost). They all look so similar and typical for Predators. There's nothing interesting to them.
