- Here's my A Cappella version of Besaid Island from Final Fantasy 10! One of the chillest songs in the game, this tune always brings me back to that cozy storyline discovery I felt while playing for the first time. Also one of the most beautiful areas in any Final Fantasy game, in my opinion!

There are so many songs that I would love for him to do. Thunder Plains, Mi’ihen Highroad, Guadosalam, The Splendid Performance, Illusions, and Servants of the Mountain are my dream picks. Maybe one day we will get some of these done by him.

Man, I was just commenting, I remember the demo when the PS2 came I played the crap out of my cousin PS2 and it was when were in Highschool times were most definitely simpler.
This song was the perfect way to introduce us to such a beautiful tropical fantasy world
Possibly my all time favorite track in gaming. The baseline, the calm, meandering melody, its all so excellent. Whenever I need a nice song to relax with, besaid island is always my first choice

Masashi Hamauzu doesn't get enough credit for how good his tracks are. Uematsu and Mitsuda are still geniuses, but Hamauzu still did incredible tracks like this one. I've really grown to appreciate his style as well over the years. Great cover!

@hayatorpg3896 idk that one feels more intense. More solemn, especially given what's going on when you first hear. Same reason I don't mention Wandering Flame.
I use to fire up the game and put the controller down so I could listen to this song in the background. So calm and nostalgic.

It is a kindness to witness artist and audience grow (old) together. I know before even listening this rendition of Besaid will amaze; I listened to the theme on repeat endlessly (a tropic paradise goal for an inner city urban yoot)....

When I think about a music to chill to, Besaid Island doesn’t come to mind first and yet it’s such a beautiful song to start a nice adventure on.
