Thank you. I'm not sure I believe everything I have read on grape toxicity. We have lived here for 54 years and have always had grapes and dogs on the property. We have never had dogs with the problems that are supposed to be associated with grapes. They mostly chew on the leaves and not the grapes. I don't think there has ever been a clinical study on the subject and all of the info on the internet I have found come from people quoting other articles.
We have always had at least one Basset in our brood of doggies.Right now we have "Callie" and she is 5. We're looking to rescue another one now as a matter of fact. They are such a great and sociable animal with other dogs too. I loved your video!!! Thanks for sharing!!
chew and destroy directive, ha! momma Bullseye! Just discovered your channel, fell in love! so innocent, playful. i hope to have a basset in the coming years
I'm enjoying watching your puppies! Mysty (our basset, 9) has always avoided water....she walks around puddles, hates spring when the snow melts into slush, does NOT enjoy baths.
Neither did mine, but the Golden Retriever I had before him loved it. Swimming was her favorite thing in the world. Or better yet throw something out into the lake for her to retrieve.
You might want to keep your dogs/pups away from grapes. They can cause kidney failure. Here is a link. www.answers.com/Q/Why_do_grapes_cause_kidney_failure_in_dogs Very cute pups.
Our rescue basset acted as though he had never seen mud before when he recently encountered it for the first time. The rescue didn't know anything about his background, but I believe he must have always been on a concrete surface, based on the way he acts about grass and now mud.
i just got a 10 week old basset. when he got here i bathed him and he liked it so much....next time i bathed him, he hated it so much that i couldnt keep him in the tub.
In the movie, smokey and the bandit, there was a basset named Fred. He took a long swim in the pond in one scene. Makes me wonder if they used a different dog for that shot. My bassets will walk around a puddle lol
I have one who loves the water and one who is afraid. However, last week, the one who is afraid walked right into a big puddle to get a drink when we were walking.
if dogs eat TO MUCH of grapes or chocolate its poisonous to them but my dogs have all grown up on fruits vegetables AND chocolate and I've never had a problem with any of them.... everything in moderation.....those babies r just to precious!!!! aweaome video!!!!
I had a friend growing up whose parents owned two boxers. Lovely dogs. Her dad fed each dog an entire Hersheys chocolate bar every night. It was a ritual. They both died of renal failure, about a year apart, some four or five years after he started.
I've made this comment before and it's worth repeating. These grapes have grown on our property for over 60 years and our dogs have never had any I'll effects after eating them
Mine hated the water. I took her in a pool one time only, to see if she could swim if had to. She just bobbed like a channel buoy. She was so mad, she wouldn't look at me for an hour
My basset hates the water or getting wet. I think it’s because it makes him cold. Whenever I bathe him I always have to blow dry his ears and neck or he gets the shivers lol
I know someone who fed their dog grapes occasionally and within an hour of eating them, her dog's little legs would give out and she couldn't walk. It would last a couple hours and then the dog would be ok. It was later that she realized it was never her dog's age causing it, but the grapes! She didn't know they were toxic.
There was clearly a hoose, that's wasting water, maybe there is no draught around there but that doesn't mean that wasting water is OK only for cuteness and puppies. There are plenty of rivers or lagoons. Pd. I love bassets, but that's just to irresponsible, and just for the likes.
they're so cute. looks like you take care of your hounds well. thanks for the post.
Thank you!
man, that's the life right there, a big back yard with a gaggle of bassets....
Loved watching these beautiful babies play. And I think he knows about the grapes now so let up on that.

You have an old restoration car under that tree. Big money. Oh, and I love Bassets
The way bassets shake off water is the cutest thing on the planet.

Well its funny our bassets will cry like they are being murdered when we give them baths but they wont hesitate to roll in the muddy irrigation water!
One of my dogs is afraid as well.
I have had four bassets and none of them liked the water.
Neither did mine, but the Golden Retriever I had before him loved it. Swimming was her favorite thing in the world. Or better yet throw something out into the lake for her to retrieve.
MystyTheBasset lol my Bassett is the complete opposite
We've only had just one...but she made quite the impression on us ! Your day must be work work work, fun fun fun. 😄
Uh, dogs aren't supposed to eat grapes/raisins. Highly toxic. Cause kidney failure. But they are pretty cute. I miss my basset...
I HAVE HAD MY MORNING FIX THANK YOU FOR THIS

2:32 Made me laugh. He's like a ninja!
Omg! This is so sweet my blood sugar is up!
If I had them around, nothing else would get done!!!
When can I come and save that old truck? I'm here in Phoenix.
Once they get used to wetness going away on its own, it isn't so scary.
I have one who loves the water and one who is afraid. However, last week, the one who is afraid walked right into a big puddle to get a drink when we were walking.

Omg where is the water coming from! Did you flood your yard to make a swamp! They are absolutely adorable! I love hounds!
In the summer we flood our yard every other week like this! The dogs love it!
Don't let your dogs eat grapes! Thought everybody knew that!
I always thought that grapes were lethal for Basset Hounds. The same goes for chocolate.
No grapes!
1:25 I like how all the puppies look at the big one cross the water like "Oh my god.. How did he do that?" "Is he jesus?"
Did your adorable basset hounds found any stranded cats and rescue them from flood? Love to see them exploring the yard..💝🐶
Mine hated the water. I took her in a pool one time only, to see if she could swim if had to. She just bobbed like a channel buoy. She was so mad, she wouldn't look at me for an hour

So, you have a moat around your house?
Grapes are toxic to dogs. What are you thinking?
Clearly not about you.
Um, I think the people that own this channel know how to take care of their hounds.
@@dolandlydia They clearly don't.
You are 100% correct. Grapes are poisonous to dogs please look it up
I have 9 year old tri colour basset never liked water any one any tips on their shedding their coat my house is a mess but we love him
Is Momma Bullseye still doing well?
I'm sure her puppies have found good forever-homes.
All of Bullseye's puppies found great homes. Sadly Bullseye passed away November of 2021. She was the best puppy mom I've ever seen.
@@CopperstateBassets I'm sorry. My condolences.
The only bad part about our dogs is that they have such short lives.
Cute!
♥️
Lol did you flood you're own yard?
How much is the old car?
I want one!!! Please!
Grapes are really toxic for dogs :/
"really"" toxic is a stretch.
more like chocolate is toxic...
Not really a stretch if it causes your dog to go into kidney failure...why risk it

Grapes 4 to 6 white grapes a day isnt going to hurt them at all. Raw green beans are a great treat too.
Thanks
Super cute but grapes are SUPER bad for doggies!!! (no hate)
Grapes are poisonous for dogs.
Grapes are bad for dogs😢

I see no grapes, what the hell is everyone screaming about
Thank you for noticing. They would always just chew on the leaves or anything else anyways
My nigga, was that from flooding?
My basset lived to 16 1/2. Loved grapes and no issues because of it. Don't believe that rubbish!
Hello darling dogs my name is Stephen Lawson I've got my number but it should be on your phone earlier let me know something bye
Very cute but where did all that water come from?? We are living in times of draught, don't be irresponsible
Gondwana I don't know where the heck you are. but there is no drought around here! Don't be a negative turd troll'
Gondwana this is a channel of loving basset hounds what is the need for hate and such language please keep this for another channel
Yeah don't be such a Debbie downer!!!
Gondwana irresponsible? What they posed to drink the water off the ground.
