This is my favorite I've ever made! It was so fun to cover this run and personally, It's my favorite version of the Rock. He had entertaining moments every single week and he was hilarious! What did you think of this run?
U 4got to mention the promo after Raw ended. Rock came out with 2 beers & wanted Austin to let bygones be bygones. At the moment Rock was talking, he studdered a little & a fan said "What?!" to him & Rock totally ripped into that fan by telling him "Dont say What you stupid SOB!" That fan got burned
One of my favorite heel runs ever. The Rock was an entertaining heel in 03 and even took Triple H's spot as the top heel on Raw. His disses on Toronto and Sacramento is a without a doubt some of WWE's greatest heel moments of all time. One of the best versions of Rock
Estudios ADR and in 2002 kings got robbed in game 6 in western conference finals by the refs and they played against lakers. It is most controversial game in nba history
@@jakegilpin1145 biggest reason the fans during the Rock concert booed heavily when the Rock delivered that line. One thing is hating the Lakers. Another is to remind them of the 2002 WCF. I'd be irate too if I were a Kings fan.
The Rock is my number 1 favorite wrestler ever, and I loved him going Hollywood in 2003! He was still great all around and super charismatic and entertaining! His 03 theme music with the helicopter is one of my favorite entrance themes ever!
I remember a promo Rock cut on Goldberg leading up to Backlash 2003 when he said "Back in WCW you were a big fish in a little bitty pond. But The Rock, he's a whale in a tear drop."
Hollywood Rock's 2003 Toronto promo is the best heel promo ever talk about dropping nuclear💥💥 freakin' hysterical and Jerry Lawler supporting commentary was absolute gold 💯🔥🔥🔥
His run as a heel was so fucking awesome he made fun of the crowd and they still enjoyed it only the ROCK can run his mouth like that and get away with it 😂😂😂😂
I truly believe that this was the best version of the Rock, from the unique entrance music which was awesome, to the wildly entertaining heel promos, that one in Toronto is probably one of the best in WWE history, and also character wise as well.
Rocky was rippin on my city and I still loved that promo. His rock concert and his mini feud/segments with the hurriance was epic! Even his rock concert back in 2012 was amazing! What a fkn legend!!
Hollywood Rock’s run in 2003 was absolutely fucking golden, I know it’s hard to expect the fans to ever boo him now but I’d LOVE for Rock to come back as this version if only for one feud and put over a top babyface (NOT Roman Reigns) as it’d do wonders for their career.
All about Hollywood Rock. Like u said him on here comes the pain, its so memorable as well. His suplex, samoan drop and clothesline was so arrogant it was fuckin badass. Ill never forget Hollywood Rock. He was the only one who could truly beat 316.
It made sense for Rock to be Austin's last feud and match since in kayfabe they were each other's greatest rivals, debuted around the same time, first started feuding over the Intercontinental title before Austin gave up the title to Rock. Then when they both got to the top Austin beat Rock at Wrestlemania 15, beat him again with Vince McMahon's help at Wrestlemania 17 so Austin trying to beat his greatest enemy one last time at Mania before retiring and Rock finally managing to beat Austin for once at Mania made for a great storyline.
I feel like Hollywood Rock having Booker throw him over the top rope was righting the wrongs of when Booker and Rock did their first promo together in 2001 where Booker challenged him to fight at SummerSlam but people thought Rock buried Booker too hard. I also feel like Booker's comedic feud with Stone Cold was Stone Cold giving Booker a rub before he left as well. I wish Triple H did the same for him but all he did was undo The Rock and Stone Cold's efforts with that infamous promo since Booker ended up losing the Triple H feud anyway.
I couldn't help but smile or chuckle as you went over this period in Rock's career. My favorite gimmick of his along with Corporate Rock he was just in peak form being the biggest heel but so damn entertaining and the fans who were booing him couldn't help but love him again.
I will always put the Rock over Stone Cold only because of his way to explore different characters without a dent in his popularity, and his willingness to put others over, who were much lesser in stature to him.
@Chuck Buskee I would say Steve Austin before the neck injury was more versatile 100% but after he couldn’t have the same technical wrestling matches he had pre-injury and changed his move set into more of a brawler
Corporate Rock was his best run by far. DX, Mr. McMahon, Shane McMahon, Rock, Ken Shamrock, Big Boss Man, Test, Brisco & Patterson as the cronies.. THAT was a stable!!!
2003 Rock is my favorite Rock. The Hollywood full of himself coward charismatic amazing theme song fantastic personality as always cranked up to 10 with his wonderful cowardly attitude with amazing hilarious jokes Rock. No punctuation needed... Im glad someone else likes him as much as me. When i think of him. I think WWE '14 when i was first introduced to all the classic wrestlers and different versions of them. Hollywood Hogan, Word Life Cena, Purple Dead Man Undertaker, Kane 1998, so many more but the Rock 2003 was my favorite because I really liked his theme and his look. Over the years i discovered more and I love this Rock the most. People argue with me and say 2000-2002 Rock is best, I honestly find him bland when comparing him to the 1997-1999 Rock and 2003 Rock. Rock vs Austin 3 is also my favorite of the trilogy. I don't like Goldberg one little bit so... Screw him I wish he lost to the Rock. It just came out recently he refused to lose to Bray so now I dislike him more! I wish this Rock semi returned in 2011 since he was an even bigger Hollywood Star by then but whatever. With Games like Here comes the Pain, WWE '14 and 2k16 he is there. Great video for my favorite Rock!
This why heel rock my fav and thing I thought was the coolest besides the hurricane stuff (hurricane saying scorpion king had tiny digalig the face rock made was priceless) was the way he made the fans feel like they were part of his feuds always messing with them the only way the rock can 😎🤟
Heel Batista in late 2009-2010 was awesome. I still remember him beating the piss out of Rey after they lost that tag team title match. Then of course the promo on Cena "kissing babies and hugging fat girls" lol
This guy main evented two of the three ppvs that he was in without being a world champion/wwe champion. And it was rumored to have main evented wrestlemaina xix but austin wasn't feeling well. Hollywood Rock/2003 Rock/ Black leather vest Rock whatever names that was given to him he was Such an awesome heel.
My Grandpa was like mimicing the Rocks catchphrases to me when I was a kid it was funny I didn't know until recently I watched the Rocks concert that that's where he got it from but man that concert was so funny
Hollywood Rock i feel is his best version the way that instead of keep trying to be the good guy he played it up being a heel great. it's what WWE should have did with Cena in 06 and Reigns in 2016
maaaaan how can you not include his promo before facing goldberg, it’s one of my absolute favorites. “goldberg , the rock ain’t next, you’re next.. you whisker biscuit bald headed BITCH!” ooof
There are two runs i'm passionate for as a fan & admirer of both stars because their the reason why i'm into lifting/made my love for wwe grow more than it was. The Rock's 2003 Hollywood Heel Run- His mic work was phenomenal due to acting & was more sharper with his promos. He entertained so good you had to love him as a hollywood know it all. Batista's 2005 Face Run- He was the best thing to happen to the company. He had the looks, the tattoos, and the crowd went nuts everywhere he went. From the slow face turn on raw & doing the elimination chamber, to raw/smackdown survivor series match. Nothing but magic.
@@angryoldhead7034 Because heel Stone Cold Steve Austin never suited his character. When people saw Austin, they believed he was one of their own, a working class man who would work his a** off to make his life better and drink beers in the free time and never bow down to corporate loonies. Austin's character was anti-corporatist, anti-elitism and a rule-breaker. Him shaking hands with McMahon destroyed his character. While, the Rock, even during his face run had an elitist look, he was like one of those guys from a rich family who understood the people's concerns. Coming out in glasses, shirts and trousers actually had an elite look even if he was the people's champ. It was easier for the fans to turn on the Rock. But, not for Austin. Many people stopped watching wrestling after WrestleMania X7 and fall of WCW. WWE never gained the hardcore WCW fans either.
Hollywood rock was a fitting way to end Dwayne's full time WWE career and really it came full circle..when he started out he was a hated face that turned to a beloved heel and the same thing played out in his transition to Hollywood Rock.
The Rocks Greatest run was actually blocked when they turned him heel and joined the Corporation to go against Stone Cold. That's why Rock is the greatest to me. Wrestlers like Stone Cold, Cena, Goldberg, Hogan, Lesnar depended on winning fake matches for their character to thrive. Rock never needed that and that's what makes him so great. Even when Rock was a face he mostly gets beat up during his matches anyway.

I love his run as Hollywood heel he had it all with this wish it lasted til the whole year and had a run with it

The rock always speaks in 3rd person so WrestlingPremier has no option but to laterally quote everything the rock says while narrating 😂
The Rock's Hollywood gimmick from end of January 2003 to early June 2003 was AMAZINGLY entertaining.
If only we had characters as awesome as Hollywood Rock nowadays.
