I am doing a review of a product I did not believe would work. It did however and this is the Blag Flag Bug Zapper from Lowes. www.lowes.com/pd/BLACK-FLAG-1...
Black Flag needs to hire you as a spokesperson for their product. I have seen lots of reviews, but this is the BEST REASON EVER to buy one....you know, cause it clearly works....LOL. that's a lot of mosquitoes.
Thank you for watching. I appreciate the vote of confidence for being a black flag spokesperson.. my units still work and they still kill mosquitoes. I recommend them.
I bought the bigger one Intertek Black Flag Type 2 Model BZ-40 and it turned out to be just a lawn light. The electrical zapping was never activated when flying insects entered the Black Flag Type 2 Model BZ-40. So don't forget it has a 5 year warranty on the big models.
We enter the house through the garage. We started keeping a bug zapper hanging in the garage near the entry door. Hardly anything comes in the house anymore. Outdoors seems a pain. Not sure if I can clear the county of bugs with something that size. Don't have to deal with the every 3 day maintenance either.
thanks for watching. that is a great idea to have this in your garage. this time of the year i always have a resident daddy long leg spider family reside in my garage and they surprisingly take care of most of the flying insects in that area.
Thanks for watching. Bug zappers really only kill bugs at night. Which may lesson them in the day when your grilling. The zapper attracts the bugs with its built in light. During the day the bugs are not attracted to the light but at night they are.
Thanks for watching. Oh yeah this thing at my house is on a timer and stays on all night. Kills hundreds... let me know if you have any other questions..
Dang dude, it's crazy to think that many mosquitoes are flying around your home... I bought one of these a few years back, I cut out a few of the plastic slots out so it could zap bigger bugs. Put your cord inlet holes facing down, to keep water out.
RedWhite&Blue 78 you have a great point about cutting a whole for bigger bugs. I really got this for mosquitos and for like flys/mats. I think it’s best for mosquitos and small moths.
thanks good video on this i just bought one live down south and weather so hot bug city down here was almost scared to buy this but glad i did after watching your video i see it works and cant wait to zap some bugs lol!!
Did you sit outside after you set it up and feel it difference? Or did you set it up and go inside and check it the next day? Just curious looking to get one for when I go hunting
Thanks for watching. I stated what I did in the video. However after the first night I checked it and saw some carnage than checked it a week later and saw it was chock full.
I bought the flowTron 1 acre model and it's awesome! The advantage of that one is the wires inside are vertical and most of the bugs fall out And don't get stuck. About every 10 days I'll take the air compressor and blow it out but it never gets clogged like yours. I can finally go in my backyard without getting chewed up by all the mosquitoes
Thank you for watching. I can see were that would be an advantage to yours. At this point I have two units, one in the back yard and one in the front of the house. I do however like the horizontal and vertical electrified wires just because I know it will ge the job done. Just like you I have noticed less insects in the air in my yard.
I dont have it plug in to an extension cord at the moment, but I do have it plugged in to the wall with a 3 plug adapter. Its so dim. How long does it take to light up? I got mine at Home Depot, but I hope I didnt get a store return since I did see one little bug stain. It did came with the instruction manual and chemical lure inside.
Never mind, it turns out its the BZ-20, which has a white uv light. The manual is for all 4 of the models. The Home Depot reviews also have some photos with blue uv lights which made it confusing.
Thank you for watching. Yeah the instructions that come with it are for multiple models. So far mine is still working good. Mine never got that bright either. I think it's like ultraviolet.

That is weird that is the real reason I purchased the unit for mosquitos. I just know during the height of summer I have a lot of mosquitos in my yard. At night the only lights on my two zappers. So they are attracted to it I guess.

Thanks for watching. This is an old video but I do recall saying that after a week or so there was a noticeable reduction of mosquitos in the back yard around the zapper.
I’m not sure 100% I put it on when I first got it and never took it off. The best attractant i e found is telling my wife to stand by the zapped the mosquitos love her…
I will be honest I have never seen a house fly in one of my zappers. They are too smart for that. If they are I. The house I recommend one of those sticky traps with some food as bait...
@@GReviewz You're welcome. Do you feel like there's less mosquitoes now? I mean there's no way that one small bug zapper can killed all mosquitoes in your surroundings, I just wonder if you feel quite a difference to when you start using this thing like 3 years ago compared to now.
Wendigo good question... I’ll be honest... this summer we have been hanging around with our neighbors and my wife and I said right away they have more mosquitos in their back yard than we do. We live right next door to them. I have one unit in the front and one in the back yard at my house...
Thanks for watching. Yeah I’ve had mine two years now and going strong. I don’t leave them out year around only during bug season... for example in NC during the winter there are no bugs so I put the zappers away.
I am sure chicken or any other bird you have on the farm would like it. Fried flies...it could be used as compost I guess but you would need a lot of it.
I have one and I'm finding that it stuns, rather than kills, a lot of the flies that hit it. I'll hear a zap and then see a fly limping around underneath it.
I live in NYC And I'm in my Own CO-OP with a BALCONY We Have LOTS OF BUGS HERE I'm Gonna TRY This Out See if Can CATCH SOME ESPECIALLY WHEN IT RAINS OUT HERE I'm in The CITY we Still Get the bugs here too
holy SH#T!!!!!!!! Dude you single handedly prevented millions of irritating mosquito bites. If we dont see a dip in the mosquito population then I will be amazed
I have seen a few flies get zapped in my unit...but only a few. these zappers really work the best at night and normally house flys come out in the day light.
Lol I’m sure if the flying roach hit the electrified part yes.. I am no big man however I do t believe roaches at all are attracted to the light though!!
That is a good point however things that can’t fit normally are good insects… such as bees, moths etc. everything I want dead fits through no problem… mosquitos, flys nats…
@@GReviewz darn, lol. Another question. Do you have to leave it plugged in the whole time, or does it have a charging option? If not, does it suck a lot of electricity?
I have two of these units. One in the front and one in the back of my house..they have to be plugged in however I have them both on timers. They do not use that much juice...

Can I also use this indoors?
I wouldn’t recommend it. If you just go to amazon and type in “indoor. If zapper” you will get a big list. Thanks for watching.
@@GReviewz thanks for replying. I saw 6500 volts unit in my local store and was thinking of buying it. Nowhere on the box did I see outdoor use only, until I saw your video lol
@@DwayneBrown Those ebay indoor ones are crap. Unless you buy the flat kind as they use in food establishments.
@@Roc-Righteous Thank you!
You should put an Amazon affiliate link in the description!
Thank you for the info. Can I do that even if I didnt buy on Amazon?
@@GReviewz yes! You can link any product you recommend:)
id try it but i dont whanna be a bug collecter
Thanks for watching. For the most part it will kill flies/mosquitos/moths. That large Luna moth you saw was a rarity.
Are those safe to put inside the house?
No. Outdoor model only according to directions…
You know what you never told us? The one thing most of us want to know, how does it affect the mosquitos while you are in the back yard at night? Obviously I’m the morning there will be dead bugs, 🤷♂️
Thanks for watching. This is an old video but I do recall saying that after a week or so there was a noticeable reduction of mosquitos in the back yard around the zapper.
Weapon of mass destruction
It sure is. Does a great job!
Does the mosquito lure really work?
I’m not sure 100% I put it on when I first got it and never took it off. The best attractant i e found is telling my wife to stand by the zapped the mosquitos love her…
Does this works for house flys?
I will be honest I have never seen a house fly in one of my zappers. They are too smart for that. If they are I. The house I recommend one of those sticky traps with some food as bait...
I have a bug zapper and use an air can for electronics to keep it clean.
Canned air would work great...I just use my leaf blower! How are you liking the zapper?
Hey it's been a while, what's the mosquitoes situation in there now?
Thanks for watching. I mean the unit is still killing mosquitos...
I have one unit in the front and one in the back yard at my house...
how has it held up?
Thanks for watching. Mine have held up fine. That being said mine are only summer units. During the winter I pack them up in a box for storage..
I bought the same one. It sucks because they get stuck in it. You don't even hear them get zapped, wtf ?
Lol it’s the new liberal “eco” friendly model. Lots of death without the noise.
Holy cow.....are those mosquitos??? Yikes!!!!!
Thanks to Bill Gates, expect a new virus from his mosquito release of millions to a city near you
I love bug zappers but I gave up on them. Every name brand I have bought lasted about one year.
Thanks for watching. Yeah I’ve had mine two years now and going strong. I don’t leave them out year around only during bug season... for example in NC during the winter there are no bugs so I put the zappers away.
That is still 364days 23 hours and 54.5 minutes longer than i last.
Or as a chicken feeder in a barn... free flies and bugs... in addition to helping them not get bugged by the bugs.
I am sure chicken or any other bird you have on the farm would like it. Fried flies...it could be used as compost I guess but you would need a lot of it.
Does this work with flys as well ?
Thanks for watching. I can’t promise anything but anything that is attracted to light and will fit through the grating.
I have one and I'm finding that it stuns, rather than kills, a lot of the flies that hit it. I'll hear a zap and then see a fly limping around underneath it.
I live in NYC And I'm in my Own CO-OP with a BALCONY We Have LOTS OF BUGS HERE I'm Gonna TRY This Out See if Can CATCH SOME ESPECIALLY WHEN IT RAINS OUT HERE I'm in The CITY we Still Get the bugs here too
Thanks for watching. You live in New York City and have bugs? Who knew! This zapped it really for mosquitos and flies etc.
How the hell did you clean the bulb?!?!
Thanks for watching. I just use my leaf blower and blow everything out of it.. but you can actually remove the bulb and clean it if you want..
Can this one be used indoors? I need one for my basement.
Got my answer in the thread. Thank you.
I mean it really is an outdoor zapper. Is your basement furnished?
What do you have down there that needs to be zapped?
@@GReviewz mosquitoes that get in when I open the door. I found an indoor one with great reviews. Thank you.
I would use compressed air in a can to clean
Thanks for watching. Yeah compressed air would work just fine..I use that or a leaf blower..
Great band.
Thanks for watching.
Where are you?
Near the raleigh Area. Thank you for watching.
holy SH#T!!!!!!!! Dude you single handedly prevented millions of irritating mosquito bites. If we dont see a dip in the mosquito population then I will be amazed
That is insane
Thanks for watching...what the amount of bugs it got?
Nice
Thanks for watching. Happy zapping!!
Thats the fire hazard! It'll blow up
Lol hasn’t caught fire or blown up yet....
@@GReviewz making a content loud electric noise and will not stop ? Want to know how to repair????
Looks like you need many more units
Thanks for watching.. lol I have a total of 2 units and they work well. I might look crazy if I had like 8 units all around my house.
Does it work for flys
I have seen a few flies get zapped in my unit...but only a few. these zappers really work the best at night and normally house flys come out in the day light.
I'm getting this for indoors, for Gnats
Thanks for watching. Just be careful it states in the instructions “not for inside use”
Now these little gnats know my plans
Lol they can’t resist the light…
Yeah, but will it kill Flying Roaches?
Lol I’m sure if the flying roach hit the electrified part yes.. I am no big man however I do t believe roaches at all are attracted to the light though!!
@@GReviewz They sure are Attracted to my TV/Computer Screen. Only Light on in the House and they seem to Love it. Specially at night.
I use a flowering, it kills a lot of em.
A flowering?
i was expecting you to put all the mosquitoes on the floor and then squash them
Lol after a week or so the bugs are so crispy they almost disintegrate....
So how do u clean it
I just use compressed air or just a leaf blower. Works like a charm...
@@GReviewz i have one, had it for a while in the box.. I'll b using now
I wonder if this really helps sick of damn flies geting house
This unit is an outdoor model. It may work just keep in mind it may cause a fire.
the large bugs who cant make it through the cracks will survive. then theyll reproduce, youll be left with large bugs
That is a good point however things that can’t fit normally are good insects… such as bees, moths etc. everything I want dead fits through no problem… mosquitos, flys nats…
would it attract and kill roaches too?
Thanks for watching. Sorry roaches are too smart for the up light bug zapper. These are only good for flying insects that are attracted to light.
@@GReviewz oh, ok. that means I would need to use an extension cord to use this cause I don't have electrical outlets outside my house. or the alternative is to use it in one of the rooms in my house to kill mosquitos. Would that be ok, or must it be for outdoor use only?
That is crazy
Thanks for watching. Lol what is crazy?
