The Lake Shore Cottages are probably the most unique homes in The Villages, FL and, in some cases, the most expensive. It is very rare one of the Lake Shore Cottages will come up for sale. Take a tour of these great homes and see how you can receive a $1,000 credit towards your closing costs paid by me.

I have been trying to buy one of these since the day I saw them. I have called The Villages, I have called several MLS realtors and I have had my lawyer contact all of the owners saying I will pay cash for one. Nobody wants to sell over in Lake Shore.
Fascinating. They are truly desirable. I find these homes to be so much more appealing than most of the cookie cutter homes found throughout The Villages.
These houses look amazing. I wish they were for sale.
Gary, great video. Assuming that a home in this neighborhood is going to be unobtainable, what would be a second or third choice where one might look to buy a home in The Villages?
That is a hard question to answer. Do you value golf more? The Town Squares? Shopping? Restaurants? Close to I75 and/or the Turnpike? Want to be on a lake? House size? Price range?
You’ve got to be super Duper rich to live in Florida these days especially in the villages
The Villages aren't any more expensive than most retirement communities. Sure, we have some $3M+ homes but we also have some $150,000 homes and everything in between.
@@garymcadamsthevillagesrealtor you should highlight these elusive $150k homes.
@@monkusbee The Mobile Homes in the Historical Section of The Villages, which is where The Villages Founding Father, Harold Schwartz, lived, has plenty of them for sale in the $150,000 range.
Odd that the driveways of various types extend all the way to the street. The driveway aprons should be consistent with the concrete sidewalks. A pedestrian walking down the street on the sidewalk should have a consistent surface. This is a safety issue, specially for elders and the disabled.
I agree 100%.
Interesting that this is the only village with sidewalks.
I never noticed that but you are 100% right.
What Village is this in within The Villages?
The Villages as a whole consists of many different "Villages". They are usually a little bigger than a "Neighborhood" but not as big as a Subdivision. I live in the "Village of Chatham". On one side of Chatham is the Village of Piedmont. On the other side is the Village of Calumet Grove. You will usually just hear them referred to as Chatham, Piedmont, Calumet Grove and over 100 others but they are individual Villages.
Why don’t they build more communities like this one.
That is a question that can only be answered by the Administration Powers To Be of The Villages.
My personal opinion is it is a lot faster, easier and cost effective to build a row of identical or like type homes in a row. For the most part, the homes on each street in The Villages are very similar. It costs a lot less to buy building materials whey they are buying to build 10,000 similar houses and have one (1) architectural drawing to build all 10,000 homes. The homes at Lake Shore Cottages are all different and each one is built with its own architectural drawing.
