    Nice job! This looks very similar to what I did to 6mt swap my 2008 H6 outback, minus the canbus work.

    i did a very similar project on my '05 OBXT Limited. I got a parts legacy wagon for 600 cad and swapped the suspensions between vehicles. I painted everything and pressed in new poly bushings.
    now im considering a 6 spd swap and essentially building and outback spec b

      That's a good deal on the parts car. The 6 speed is definitely a game changer if you are willing to put in the time and money. Good luck on your build!

    A lot of work, but well worth it in the end. Good job on torquing everything properly as it should be.

    @swspeed what year Spec B did you order the axles from? Sedan/wagon? I am looking these videos more and more! Keep up the great work and videos.

      Thank you!! The spec b only came in sedan and were made from 2007 to 2009 so any from those 3 years will work.

    I'll be watching this VERY closely and as always I'll have lots of questions, so let's begin, shall we? What's the hardware you're, those oval plates, using in place of the oem rear alignment bolts? I've got the KTA124 (and the adjustable camber bushings) setup on the rear but the rear alignment never stays put once I drive it from the alignment shop. Oh, and what's the label/transmission code on your new 6 speed?

    • @SWSpeedCo
      @SWSpeedCo  Рік тому

      The hardware that is used on the inside of the rear control arms is from whiteline. It's a toe adjustment lockout bolt so the alignment doesn't move from that mounting point. The transmission code for the 6 speed is TY856WW8MD. Thanks for watching and keep the questions coming!

    @SW Speed, dude what grill is that?? I'm looking to replace my 08 OBXT stock grill with a mess grill!

    • @SWSpeedCo
      @SWSpeedCo  Рік тому +1

      It just some no-name grill I bought off ebay years ago. Thanks for watching!

      Just realized mesh was autocorrected to mess, didn't mean to imply anything was a mess! Dope OB!@@SWSpeedCo

      Thanks haha! I didn't even notice, I read it as mesh.

      @@SWSpeedCo what axles did you have to go with the mate the the existing hubs?

    • @SWSpeedCo
      @SWSpeedCo  8 місяців тому

      I used legacy gt spec b rear axles because they come with the r180 diff and legacy hubs so they work perfect. The front axles are the original outback/legacy 5mt axles.

    What subframe bushings did you use? @3:05

    • @SWSpeedCo
      @SWSpeedCo  8 місяців тому

      If you are talking about the transmission crossmember bushings that are energy suspension I believe. The rear differential bushings that are in the subframe are from whiteline

    • @meatheadgarage3380
      @meatheadgarage3380 8 місяців тому

      @@SWSpeedCo Oh boy, how did you get those Whiteline rear diff bushings pressed in? The C-clamp in the Autozone kit isn't big enough to get around the subframe. Did you just use some bolts and washers and crank down on that to press the new bushings in?

    • @SWSpeedCo
      @SWSpeedCo  8 місяців тому +1

      Yeah I used the bolt and washer trick. I wasn't able to press them all the way in until I dropped the subframe.
