Thanks for including and mentioning the widescreen footage of the home console release. That's definitely a very unique aspect of the game. I don't think any other Nickelodeon video games from the sixth console generation had that feature.
The Xbox version specifically of The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie has widescreen. Creature from the Krusty Krab was apparently also going to have widescreen based on early footage but was removed at the last minute.
Bruh, thnx Ssoooo much for that review. Have my old copy & the jungle WAS indeed where I get stuck at. I remember the intense platforming in jungle but DEF those roadblocks in the jungle. Like I had my, eyes glued to the map but the progression point near the end of the jungle wasn’t done well. I put down the game & never went back since. From this review, glad I didn’t. The Spyro trilogy got remade so I’ll prob pick that up on my switch
The character models seem pretty good to me, but then again I keep thinking 'at least its not Jimmy's HORRIFYING model in that later Nick Unite game' (Pan-pizza had it in a thumbnail once and it haunts me to this day 😭)
Yeah I remember playing Jet Fusion as a kid on the PS2. I will confirm that back then the game definitely got hard af back then for me. The Jungle/Volcano levels especially with some of the jumps they want you to do.
I played and beat Jet Fusion (console version) as a kid. I remember it being unforgiving and hard at some sections. I need to replay it, but I think it might have a soft spot in my heart lol.
Some licensed games are surprisingly good, some okay, some bad, some so bad they’re good, and others are depressingly wasted potential. In this video there's both the first mentioned, and the last.
Based on your review of the first three GBA Jimmy Neutron games, it sounds similar to some video game trilogies I've played. Third Time's the Charm at its finest. I'll definitely give Jet Fusion on GBA a go, especially since I do enjoy a good 'Metroidvania' game.
I haven't completely decided what I want to do after Nickelodeon Video Game History. There are still 78 games left to review, so I have plenty of time to figure it out
Considering the next few games have both a home console and handheld version, which usually takes me two weeks to get a review out, the schedule will probably look like this: Sep. 26: Mobile Mini Review Oct. 3: Tak and the Power of Juju Oct. 5/10 depending on if I get review code: Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl
@@CartoonReview well, I have the theory that you will review BFBB as a triple review: the handheld version, the console version and the Rehydrated version
I'll probably briefly mention Rehydrated, but I don't think it warrants its own video. From everything I've been told and seen the remake doesn't do enough to differentiate itself from the original and probably doesn't warrant its own video.
Also, I think the “Play Dead” mode was a reference to the show, because I saw an out of context clip from the show where another character’s dog plays dead and Goddard simply explodes.
Dude you hit the nail on the head! I remember playing and loving the game for the first halve. Yet i remember the platforming being so tedious i quit it because the mechanics were horrible with lives from the jungle level and on. I wish they did buff the combat since enemy spawns were overwhelming at times. Overall i would call it a great copout for the platform Also have fun with those next games they were my personal faves for Nick platforms.
Never seen the GBA version before until now. I been curious. It’s nice to see that it’s decent. As for the console version, I mean it’s better then Jimmy Neutron Boy Genius is it not? Lol I think the graphics are a pretty nice upgrade resembling the models closer to the show when you compared it to the games before. 😅

@@cabralanselmo5777 They do!?!?!
@@cabralanselmo5777 Very interesting. I wouldn’t have known that because I only ever owned the GameCube version of The SpongeBob Movie Game.
20:28 Am I crazy or does Godard sound like Fred from Scooby-Doo? Is that Frank Welker?
Yes, it is him.
@@cabralanselmo5777 That explains it then.

I love that the review of the game is longer than the speed run of the game itself.
10 year old me loved this game.
A metroivania rabbit hole led me to this review; I remembered GBA Jet Fusion was my first major experience.
The GBA version definitely understood what I wanted as a kid
Can't wait for attack of the twonkies
20:26 he kinda sounds like fred from Scooby Doo
That’s because Goddard is voiced by Frank Welker

Oh cool
In 2 weeks, we get battle for bikini bottom. *LET'S FUCKING GOOO!!!!*
imagine crying comparing a game thats 20 years old to a game that is brand new OF COURSE THEY ARE GOING TO FEEL MUCH DIFFERENT YOU DOPE!!!!!
The character models seem pretty good to me, but then again I keep thinking 'at least its not Jimmy's HORRIFYING model in that later Nick Unite game'
(Pan-pizza had it in a thumbnail once and it haunts me to this day 😭)
I remember that exact image Pan used for his thumbnail lmao. Why did they make Jimmy so greasy looking in that game 😭
5:01 AMOGUS
I find it odd that my TV will insist that the resolution output is at 4:3 even when I enable the widescreen for this game
The disappointment ends next Sunday, as Tak is really good. (The original Tak trilogy is excellent)
Why not split this Jimmy Newtron games into two, The Good half will be called as Jet Fusion while the Bad half will be called as Jimmy: in roboland.
Sadly, this sunday's video reviews a java phone game instead of Tak I.

YES!!!!
YOU PLAYED JET FUSION IN WIDESCREEN!!!!
now all you gotta do is play the Wii-era games in 4:3 only.
SPLIT THE HOME CONSOLE GAME INTO TWO!
Do you Know D3 Publisher?

Just another day in the life of Jimmy Nutron.
are you going to tackle other retrospective series before you tackle dc and disney content?

78!? My lord!
I know we'll get Battle for Bikini Bottom for sure, but later, what game will come next, Breaking the Rules or All Star Brawl

I had the handheld one as a kid and could not figure out this one part at the every beginning so I just never played it 😂
The gba version is hard af imo
Question about BBFB:
Are you going to talk about Rehydrated in that video, or is it gonna get it’s own video?

Not even Frank Weller can save that game.

The mine cart part looks like its stolen from tombi 2
Now all I'm waiting on is nicktoons unite....

I used to have the GBA version of Jet Fusion and hated it
Overly critical review of a 20 year old game is cool...
