There are sticker shops out there that send weekly emails about the upcoming sales. However, I learn to ignore them. Partly because all they say in their weekly email is about what sales are coming up and I don't feel they put any heart into it. When yours come to my inbox, I would actually read it in full because you talk about other things and not strictly about the sales. If one is going to send a weekly email, do it like the owners from Wonder Pens or like you do, Helen! I think you have a fan base that is big enough that you don't necessarily need to send us weekly emails. Those who complain that you don't send the emails could probably be new to your shop, and I think you must make a business decision if you want to cultivate new customers who may become more loyal to you in the future.
I agree with you and wanted to add that Wonder Pens is the only shop email I actually read!!

It honestly can be difficult to find a good balance of email marketing to send. I usually send 2-3 emails for big events, one to let people know the details and when it, one when it goes live, and one when it's about to end if it is a limited event like a preorder. But other than that I only send 1-2 emails a month. I've never had anyone complain about my email frequency and I genuinely don't think a weekly or even fortnightly email is too much if it's new information and actually useful. ❤️ Making sure the subject line is clear and descriptive is also useful so people can decide if they want to open it or not. I think people are more likely to be annoyed if a subject line is click baity and they open it and it's just another BUY MY STUFF email.
Even if she just sent emails when a new release or sales came out. I’d get rid of my fb account. I hate fb.

“Into Thin Air” is such a great book, and that Leonardo fountain pen is exquisite! I bought my first fountain pen in November due to you, and now I have four, lol. All of them were $50 or less, but now I’m looking at this one and Pelikans and Sailors! I have definitely gone down the fountain pen rabbit hole now, lol. I also got my order from your shop, and my only regret is that I didn’t buy more. Love your channel so much, and thank you for brightening my somewhat lonely Sundays. ❤

I just finished the Aftershock documentary on Netflix! WILD!! It’s been in the teens in Atlanta and that’s absurd cold but I’m also thinking about how it’s not “that cold.” 🥶 I love that you show your oops/mistakes and quick fixes. It’s so comforting as a content creator that you aren’t alone! ❤

Hi Helen ^^ I just got my first fountain pen as a birthday present and I'm super excited to use it. I also got a sample ink from sailor and omg why does it smell like that LMAO!!! maybe I should experiment with other brands. After getting my fountain pen I checked your guide videos and wanted to say thank you
The ink has a certain smell because there's an additive in there to prevent the growth of mold. All brands have some sort of anti mold additive in them. Happy birthday and enjoy your new fountain pen! What did you get?
@@bruin_tea_et_ecriture Oh, thank you so much for the info ^^ I did not wanted something fancy for my very first fountain pen so I got a Kaweco Perkeo Jungle Green with F nib. It was rather cheaper. I will consider getting a Twsbi eco in the future though.
@@hazaltsuki You're welcome. I can understand wanting to test it out before buying something more expensive. I have about 20 twsbi ecos. They are work horse pens. I love the large ink capacity and that they don't dry out after non-use. You're going to have a lot of fun!! :) Keep us posted on how you're getting along. Also, Goulet Pen Company has a fantastic youtube page with tons of beginner videos to supplement Helen's fountain pen videos. What sailor ink color did you choose?
Some ink is stinkier than others haha.
@@bruin_tea_et_ecriture I will keep that channel in mind, thank you. I got Manyo Kakitsubata from Sailor and also got one from Wearingeul. I just love green tones so I choosed The Adventures of Tom Sawyer. Both of them are 2mL samples. When my Sailor filled cartridge empties I will fill it with Wearingeul and give it a try.

I'm asking because you're doing last week's spread and not this coming week, but it sounds like you're talking about this next week. I'm just wanting to understand your timing of posting the videos... Ok, as I watch more of this video, it looks like you're filming a bit every day, and then posting all of the previous week's videos together at the end of that week (Sundays). Is this correct? Our garbage and recycling pick-ups alternate every other week!
Where I live (Portland OR) we have garbage pick up every other week for everyone. Every week is compost and recycling.
