Literally 2/3 century ago my family and close friends stayed in these cabins, traveling 2 hours from the Akron OH area, for several summer vacations. We kids would explore Tom's Run for hours. Our friends were enthusiastic hikers so they took us on several of the park's short trail hikes, including one if I remember correctly that went up Tom's Run into a rare patch of preserved old growth forest.
