awesome build, very solid car. Man there was like almost zero body roll on those runs, looks like a great set up! I love COTA..Im in San Antonio and Ive been for a few events, but never got to really track my car (stock turbo, FBO/E30). Where are you based, Dallas? Houston?
Thanks man, yeh she’s solid but I’m going even stiffer with the suspension. Believe it or not there is still too much body roll hahah And I’m located in Killeen man but Austin is closest to me
@@club.alfagt I did. I'm planning to order one when I do my clutch...if I can wait that long. I had a wavetrac in my other car but hear the mfactory works better for straight line tracing from a dig.
Nice informative video. Been road racing mustangs for the last 9 years. Thinking of buying a focus st for a new streetable track car. While i would be staying on the lower hp side (230-240 whp) what do you recommend doing to the car for tracking it from your experience?
Besides basic maintenance that comes with any modern day direct injection turbo platform (Good oil, routinely gap spark plugs 2x a month, good fuel, catch cans) Cooling is the other large factor. Anywhere in the south you will need a lower temp thermostat, intercooler and oil cooler at the LEAST to track the car with no worries. Upgraded radiator and fans obviously help as well Last thing is upgrading the brake pads. Oem are too soft for the track
I was wondering how you controlled the torqued steer so well until I saw your forearms
Hahaha!

Did you ever worry about water getting into engine bay with the vented hood?
I just ordered this same carbon hood.
Can’t wait for it to ship!
Awesome looking car
Thanks!
Great video!
what lip kit is this?!
Nice build and good choices for parts. Why did u chose the mfactory lsd?
Cheapest and most robust of the helical lsd offerings for this car. Virtually no maintenance required
@@club.alfagt I was considering one cause of price can't find many reviews of them.
@@agentk4257 have you watched my review?

A bit old but what's the wheel/tire specs
Where did you find the st2/3 headlights???
Wheel specs please??? Thanks
What wheel specs are you running to clear 265s? Looking to setup my rig for some SCCA this year.
18x9.5+35
@@club.alfagt noted! I wonder what the widest tire I can get away with on 18x8.5 ET43
Do you daily this? And if so do you use those tires year round or just track days
Yep 100% daily
What size rim and offset are you running to get the 265 size tres to sit flush with the car?
Rota kbr 18x9.5+38
Also what wheels
VIS racing ams GT hood and ROTA kbr wheels
Those tires dont scrub?
What do you mean by scrub
Like rub anywhere when turning?
@@FlaGatorL very very little just on the plastic in the wheel well on extreme turns
I really am digging those rims. Not a fan of black ones but these match the hood and car.
Thanks!!
What hood is that
