      I bought a new scooter brand new from a dealership and my first ride I took it out and it ran for about 30 mins and it stopped when i was riding in and now it won’t start up

    Very good video on how to adjust the valves. I had to do mine at the end of September and it was no fun at all. I didn't have that specialty tool and it took me several tries to get the gap right. Thank you for this video.

      @@adrianscoggin7212 Wait? Make no separation between the 2, even by .001? First time I have ever heard that. I obviously learned at a different school. I think your bike should tell you, but try the .004 and keep me updated.

      @@kachiskid Yeah I was told by a dude who's been doing it for years that it was .004 for both intake and exhaust valves. I thought the same thing too that it was .004 on intake and .005 on exhaust. Apparently another dude from the UA-cam channel rolling wrench said the same thing but that either .005 on both or .004 is fine.

      Man, I'm getting excited now! I can't wait until I hear, smell, and feel this engine. Right now I don't know what to expect, but I seriously doubt I will be disappointed.

    Congrats on being the only one of the 1000s of videos that understands it's the LINE underneath the 'T' that indicates TDC not the letter itself. Same with the 'F' for ignition timing, it's the line adjacent not the letter itself. Please tell all the other wannabe 'experts'. BTW that might well be my mum on that Lambretta. If that's the case it could be me in the sidecar. Thank you and goodnight.

    you abslolutly want an oil cooler thats the single best thing you can add to prolong the life of your motor. dont mess around with a small oil cooler get a big one those motors run hot to hot in my opinion. my runs 200 on the hottest day wide open throttle for 20 to 30 miles at a time.i have a 24 row cooler

    .005 - .007 is clanky on my GY6 125 that's why I always set .002-.003 as instructed by local motovloggers but I feel that it's too small. The also say that the factory tuning is .004-.007 which I'm finding very hard to believe since it's just too clanky when I go past .005. I'm tempted to try .003-.004 and see how it works. Also I always need to tune my air fuel mixture again every time I adjust valve latch.

      .003 -.004 is where it should feel pretty good.

      IN 0.8mm to 0.10mm EX 0.15mm to 0.20mm . This engine is build on metric system so use Metric measurement instead of Imperial . . more easy :)

      ​@@pattayakamagra8325 .8 mm is too huge, and it's bigger than .10 mm, maybe you're referring to .08 mm perhaps?, if you converted that to inches that would be .003 - .004 inches which I mentioned above. It's been doing fine ever since. Never needed another adjustment ever since. You EX recommendation though .15-mm.2 mm (.006-.007) is where I get the clanking sound. The widest I can set mine is only .005 in (.127mm)

      Ehi fratello, non sono sicuro che avresti bisogno di fare di nuovo un'autorizzazione così presto. Se si muovono sostituirei i bilancieri ed eventualmente la culla. Cosa stai stringendo anche i dadi della culla dei bilancieri? Specifiche della coppia?

    You have any contact for some question? I have a maddog icebear 1 generation. Dont start, just I can hear the sound of the starter spining, when I remove the pipeline of the gas from the carburator, and try some few times to start, so than start, and I put the pipeline again and run, after some hours of run, start normally, but when I let the bike overnight (long time off) , the problem back. I already changes the spark, the starter, the clutch and still the same problem, tomorrow I will change the carburator

    I have a 16 pieces feel gauge from 0.05 to 0.010, and a 50cc scooter can I use the 0.05 on the intake?. Great video straight to the point

    I believe I had the wrong valve clearance on my first kit and that's why it failed. So. I got me a 2017 tao tao 150 today. It looks oddly familiar...

    I have a 2016 Sym HD 200 (171cc) with 19k miles. Have had the valves inspected once at 7k miles and they were ok. Now at 19k miles and I'm gonna do it myself because it looks just too easy.
    Question: Now at 19k miles of mellow easy use, should I still use the .005 intake and your suggested .007 exhaust numbers?

      No problem. Yes, on your 171cc it would be fine at .005 -.007. Yes sir, adjusting your valves is very easy, just make sure that piston is at the top of the engine.

    Hi, my scooter was making noise, I did the valve clearance and it was solved, but after two days it's like before again. What could be the causes and how could I resolve it?

      Hey bro, not sure that you would need to do a clearance so soon again. If they are moving, I would replace the rocker arms and possibly the cradle. What are you tigtening the rocker cradle nuts too? Torque specs?

      @@kachiskid Hey bro, yesterday i’ve re’done the valve clearance. I'll check this week how it goes. The specs is 0.10mm for both. Its a kymco agility 125

      Let me know what happens. Kymco should be better than that, but it is a scooter. All need valve adjustments pretty regularly.

    Ive seen so many different clearances on UA-cam lol ive seen .004 for both and ive seen .004 for intake and .005 for exhaust and now .007 😂 what is right and what is wrong? Gopower sports says .004 on both somebody has to be wrong here.

      Who I learned from, taught me should be .002 between the two. .004-.006 is common. My engine ,and what I'm doing, isn't common.

      Young man, I don't know everything... but i would set yours at 0.004/0.006 and see if there is any chatter. I haven't done a lot with cams, I did like my A14 for very quick acceleration, but fell off at the top end. I have an A11 (I think) in the 180cc engine now, and just haven't run it enough. Next summer throwing in my Taida cam, so I will see.

      Sounds good. As long as the bike starts, and you hear no chattering, you should be good.

    Hiya can you help if you can thanks, have a gy6 150cc air cooled atv takes off fast then at full throttle makes a bogging noise nd loses speed only doing 20 t 25mph nd its doing my head in valves are at .004-006 camshaft if fine piston is fine no air leaks just dont no if its something to do with the auto carb feel like just putting a light to it 😂😂

      If you are absolutely certain that you are getting no air leaks, I really would swap the carb. just to see if it will make a difference. What kind of filtering system is on this ATV? I imagine it is ridden in dirty or sandy conditions?

    @Kachi's Kid....when I do this, is there a gasket and should I replace it..? First opening her up, so I'd like to be prepared. She's a 2006, low original miles under 3000...Also, do you know factory valve size..? I may upgrade the valve, seats, & springs(if needed/I want to, lol) but I'm not big boring, just the stuff I mentioned in other post, so I dont wanna go crazy

      Yeah, you could check on the health of your gasket. If it is super flat you might want to replace. The valve sizes should be on your scooter.

      some are permanently sealed . if you have a taotao vip powermax 150cc there are 2 problems i addressed in another comment
