I think people are severely undervaluing wallace atm. Investing is scipio prime is just a mistake for new players these days because he's never getting another good skill damage pairing.
I gotta agree. I mean, yeah, scipio is still powerful.... but the meta for inf seem to have shifted to smite damage. Is guan/scipio still good? Yeah... but it's 2nd inf march meta. I personally think its just better to stick with the new smite meta going forward, starting with LC. If you have Alex or scipio, you can probably skip ww FOR NOW.... But it's looking inevitable, smite meta is coming in fast and hard. Backwards investing in inf is just a bad idea.
Since this is mainly about openfield, why not change Huo's position on the tier list? Or does he still belong in the "Niche Role" tier for openfield? Also great video!
Hi Chisgule, i would like to suggest some changes to this tier list. i would add a new tier between niche and low priority, for 6 more commanders for a second march of any troop type. and another tier for only rally/garrison. then you have like 1 at the top (lets say liu for inf), one at mid prio (scipi P) and two at low prio (Guan/wallace), so you can build a "meta" lineup with 2/2/1 Then niche role would be commanders that you could use for a 3rd pair of each troop type (Inf Sargon, Tariq) Also cool would be a new series where you only talk about rally/garrison prio with top, low, niche role, counterrally etc. cheers Bony
The funny thing about this tier list is for low spenders, by the time you have all the gold heads for one of the top priority commanders… they are probably in low priority
The overwhelming majority of the highest ranking commanders have been consistent. You can see this by looking at my older tier lists which are visible to all
My only beef with huo is his weird expertise. It almost seems like a downgrade, oddly. I mean, I'd rather stay at a 1500 healing factor and keep all my buffs, debuffs, and rage than reset all that and jump to a 3000 healing factor, which you have to kill the target for anyways. With nev, it's straight forward and a constant increase in power. He still slaps pretty hard as well, all these years later. That's not to say I don't like huo, he slaps hard as hell. But I think I like the un-expertised model more than the expertised.
So as a new player entering kvk 3 would I get WW /Liu or ScipioP / Liu there’s always a possibility of new skill damage infantry commanders releasing ?

in kvk 1 1. use belisarius and farm kill all day and pick off kills. 2. use sun tzu + YSG as a solid march 3. baibars + pelagius/aeth kvk 2 1. dont invest in anything, not even saladin. 2. acknowledge you will be weak for the entire kvk 3. wait for SOC and invest in the best cav pair and demolish everyone. for now work on gear

I am about to enter kvk 2. Have about 620 gold head, vip 12. I skipped YSG so now I only have Bjorn Sun Tzu . Should I invest in Alex or wait for kvk 3? I feel like I will do very badly with Bjorn Sun tzu alone.
Had same situation, I'd say it depends on how actively you want to participate in kvk 2. Because Bjorn Sun Tzu is indeed focused quite fast in kvk 2. Alex is really great (no pun intended) and he technically can be used even in SoC (I at least plan to make support march out of Trajan and Exp Alex). Basically, if your kingdom does the DKP and tracks your kills - I'd recommend Alex an then combining him with Liu Che. If not, you technically can skip him and try to get Scipio/Liu or WW (William Wallace)/Liu

I guess William Liuche - Guan Scipio, but honestly he seems like a very small upgrade and I wouldn't put 690 on him
If you have max Alex, go for Liu-Alex & Guan-Scipio.. but if you don't have Alex, then go for WW-Liu & Guan-Scipio.
