Holy crud, I'd be like. "hey dad I'm gonna go clear the driveway" and he be like "ok" and all you would hear is is vrooooooom crunch. And I would come in and be like it's done and so is your car. Looks like ur walking to work :)
Interestingly enough, I think this is the first snowblower i have seen, that looks like it was meant to be used as a snow blower, from day one. Most other blowers / plows are addons tools to existing platforms, like trucks, tractors, buldozers and motorgraders. This on the other hand, looks purpose build for the task. I like it. :)
Look out for the awesome snow blowers they use the clear the Großglockner mountain route in Austria each spring. Not as big as this one, but way older.
Great video! That's some serious power strapped onto that thing. The four wheel steering is pretty neat, too. Keeps the auger at the right angle and probably makes for some pretty exciting cornering.
In terms of self driven snow blowers to the best of my knowledge the Swiss made ROLBA R10.000 still is the largest snow blower with 3000 hp and 10.000 tons/hour capacity.
In Ottawa, Canada they used to use the dedicated rigs like the last one. In the last 10 years or so, they have changed to the type you had at the beginning. The kind that mount to the end of a front end loader. Makes sense since it can be removed and another type of attachement put on. They move snow just as well as the dedicated units at a much lower cost.
wrong the 1966 Union Pacific Rotary Snowplow. The #900081 is truly an awesome beast. It's the heaviest of it's kind and it's powered by a massive GM/EMD 16 Cylinder Turbo Diesel that cranks out 3000 horsepower. All the power from it's massive engine goes to power the 12 foot diameter rotary blades. and is the largest snow blower in the world
I'm searching for the vehicle they used in the Norwegian movie 'In order of disappearance'. That thing was fantastic and quick too. 2000hp, 4,000 tons an hour and comfy inside.
Putting the driver on top of the madly rotating steel structure is not as safe as the manufacturer thinks. Also, there's a lot of vibrations in the cabin. I see absolutely no reason why the cab couldn't be behind the blower mechanism.
Hey guys if you've seen bigger guess again cause the intake height is large enough to to in your average SUV and still have space and btw that snow was only average for that area and It is deep enough to trap a tank inside
@marius2202 I agree. It was the first one I was talking about. The other blower you have on here is HUGE! Thanks for sharing......... that was really cool! LITERALLY!
nice piece of kit to be sure. Canadian Airforce had one with a 16 cylinder avco-lycoming aircraft engine to power the bankhead. full width 8 ft deep drifts at 15-20 mph
Sorry this is NOT the worlds largest snowblower. The second one is pretty big but the first one is actually small. But you accomplished what you set out to do... get me to the video. Congrats.
I think that it would probably blow your head off, considering the 1973 version of this that my grandpa just bought will do just that if you stood in front of the blower shoot. It ate an elk at night and they didn't realize it. (They, as in the previous owner)
I found my little 6 Hp Craftsman residential snowblower watching this video today with the eyes of a lovesick school boy.
Snow blower pr0n.
Sweet! Makes the Rolba I run look like a toy!
We could most certainly use this in Buffalo NY! We are buried under feet of snow!

Rocks can indeed be a real danger with snowblowers.

Do you have a link for that ?

Yeah! That's the same thing I use to clean up my appartement!

If I only could use one of these in my driveway. I would be done in 30 second :)
sounds like the hydraulics are in relief the whole time.
How fun to drive one!
One of these day youtube is gonna recommend this to the world.
Bill: Hey mac did you see that snow bank you ran over?
Mac: Snowbank? what snowbank?
Considering getting one of these for my driveway... Do you think it will have enough power?
+Isaac Allen Nah brah, need the train mounted one. just run the tracks through your garage.
get two to be safe
More than a nuff
Is your driveway the local airport?
I have about ten feet I need done can I borrow it

Wrong, only 882kw : www.specialtrucks.ch/001_olafs-nfz-seite/005_nfz-schneefraesen/005-01_nfz-rolba/r10000/datenblatt_rolba_r10000.pdf
This one has a capacity of 12 000 tons/hour

This machine is also really good for peeling potatoes!!

Sounds like quite perfect solution for my drivrway!
you mean 37 tonns
@@CaptainBreny yes that does sound more like it.
The TV 2000 is more properly termed the world's largest rubber-tired snowblower.
That is large but MTU makes a 20V-4000 engine that can produce 4000 HP, and the 2000 means that each cylinder displaces 2000 ml or 2 litters.
@trainlover479 You are right but I think the auger design is more efficient than the old impeller design on railroad.
Could you just image that last one chewing up a car. Considering most cars are plastic these days, that would actually be kind of fun to watch.
now thats some snow removal equipment i wish i had one of those for my Canadian snow packed driveway
GOT TO GET ME ONE OF THOSE...
I have one of these at home and I blow the snow onto my neighbour's roof every day in winter :)
Now use this thing to create the world's biggest igloo
They should have that in those Omni-heat jacket commercials
cool, I want one for clearing my parking space :P
And I thought my 420 Honda quad done a good job. I could clear the whole town of Nakusp, B.C. with that bugger. So cool.
This is what is so great about UA-cam
I'll never see anything like this in Oklahoma
maybe not the biggest, but still amazing!
Now THAT is a snow blower!
Putting the driver on top of the madly rotating steel structure is not as safe as the manufacturer thinks. Also, there's a lot of vibrations in the cabin. I see absolutely no reason why the cab couldn't be behind the blower mechanism.
Unusually quiet for a machine that size.
Hey guys if you've seen bigger guess again cause the intake height is large enough to to in your average SUV and still have space and btw that snow was only average for that area and It is deep enough to trap a tank inside
If its made in Norway most likely the costliest snow blower in the world too.
This would make clearing my 1000 foot drive a snap!
Of course we need a snow mover in Norway! But not this year! :D No snow... :(
don't worry, the storm is coming! Make sure you put a rock on your outdoor chairs so they don't fall over, there's a risk for that!
wow those machines are awsome
At least they never need to worry about the engines overheating.
Would be perfect for my drive way :))
we need one of these for my city
Please upload more videos like this 😊
Øveraasen, of course :)
1:13 how convenient to have steps leading up to the impeller...
Darwin's steps!
This thing is beast
theres hundreds of these all over the Country, Ski resorts, Airports, factories, construction company's . This is not the only 1
@marius2202 I agree. It was the first one I was talking about. The other blower you have on here is HUGE! Thanks for sharing......... that was really cool! LITERALLY!
Awesome!
We need that right now
1360 Hp (blower) + 650HP (engine chassis)
37.000 Kgs
yeah crazy man really is.... snow miss me so.
Those machines would tame the Sierra Nevada snow in no time
If I had one of these, I would want it to snow every day
Send this thing to Portland Oregon!
Awesome 8-)
You are correct! I can't belive they think this is the largest snowblower in the world!
Norway FTW :)
awesome blower engine
Thwack...look its raining skidoo parts...and a helmet!
nice piece of kit to be sure.
Canadian Airforce had one with a 16 cylinder avco-lycoming aircraft engine to power the bankhead. full width 8 ft deep drifts at 15-20 mph
No more issues with squirrels clogging your snowblower!
2000 installed would seem to be less than the 3000 dedicated just to the snowblower on the BNSF snowblowers.
The company that made this machines, also have the biggest snow blower on the rail roads ;)
Just a little advice... When you see this thing coming at you. RUN!
Dear Santa.........
impressive :)
@tackN2Wind As far as I know it is indeed the world's largest rubber-tire, non-rail snowblower.
I wish they had snowblower attachments for cars, that would be cool
I wish I had one of those; it would make shoveling the driveway much less tedious.
looks like something the tool man would use in a show LOL
Sorry this is NOT the worlds largest snowblower. The second one is pretty big but the first one is actually small. But you accomplished what you set out to do... get me to the video. Congrats.
that s bad ass
FAR from the world's largest snow blower, maybe the most powerful, but not largest. I saw a larger one yesterday!
@siemenstraffic Thanks :o)
very good for a snowball fight
I've built a snowblower in LEGO, like the TV2000 ^^
Just a thought, but could you use the snow to help cool the engines?
Wausau Equipment makes some big stuff.
Cool!
ive seen one on a train, here on youtube, with the double size!-)
NICE :D
wow that is the coolest snow blower on the planet !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@Spartan117FS
I think the last one is made in Norway, and the first Volvo was in comparison.
Damn that's some serious horses. Requires fuel for 15 cars to clear some snow with that!
thats charlie sheens dealer delivering this weekends coke!!
WINNING !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1 HAHAHAHAH
This is how they get ready for the summer festival in Bergen.
@MrChilloutDude You're right. She does. :)
It is used at the airport in Norway
They see me blowin' they hatin'.
Volvo! yeah! :D
Replace snowplows with these, then it wouldn't be so bad to be stuck behind them. :3
Pray to God That the floor Doesn't break Or you won't be Here Anymore
Maybe in USA there are bigger (like everything must be there), but effectiveness is an another thing.
they beat us on that one!
I wouldn't want to get white washed by that thing
I think that it would probably blow your head off, considering the 1973 version of this that my grandpa just bought will do just that if you stood in front of the blower shoot. It ate an elk at night and they didn't realize it. (They, as in the previous owner)
that's a .....snowblower alright. nice
Sweden and Norway get snow every year for the last couple of centuries. Even before Columbus went to America.
oh good heavens!! If you stood right in front of that rotating drum you might get stuck inside of it.
I Want On For The Minnesota Winters!!!!
that would do my drive way in like 10 sec lol
